요한복음 2:1-2:25

 예수님은 가나의 혼인 잔치에서 물을 포도주로 변화시키는 이적을 행하심으로써 창조적 권능을 나타내셨다. 유월절에 예루살렘에 가신 예수님은 성전을 정결케 하셨으며, 표적을 구하는 유대인들에게 자신의 죽음과 부활을 예고하셨다.
  
  가나의 혼인 잔치(2:1-2:12)    
 
  1. 사흘째 되는 날에 갈릴리 가나에 혼인 잔치가 있었다. 예수의 어머니가 거기에 계셨고,
  2. 예수와 그의 제자들도 그 잔치에 초대를 받았다.
  3. 그런데 포도주가 떨어지니, 예수의 어머니가 예수에게 말하기를 "포도주가 떨어졌다" 하였다.
  4. 예수께서 어머니에게 말씀하셨다. "여자여, 그것이 나와 당신에게 무슨 상관이 있습니까? 아직도 내 때가 오지 않았습니다."
  5. 그 어머니가 일꾼들에게 이르기를 "무엇이든지, 그가 시키는 대로 하세요" 하였다.
  1. On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there,
  2. and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.
  3. When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."
  4. "Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied, "My time has not yet come."
  5. His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."
  1. 그런데 유대 사람의 정결 예법을 따라, 거기에는 돌로 만든 물항아리 여섯이 놓여 있었는데, 그것은 물 두세 동이들이 항아리였다.
  2. 예수께서 일꾼들에게 말씀하셨다. "이 항아리에 물을 채워라." 그래서 그들은 항아리마다 물을 가득 채웠다.
  3. 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를 "이제는 떠서, 잔치를 맡은 이에게 가져다 주어라" 하시니, 그들이 그대로 하였다.
  4. 잔치를 맡은 이는, 포도주로 변한 물을 맛보고, 그것이 어디에서 났는지 알지 못하였으나, 물을 떠온 일꾼들은 알았다. 그래서 잔치를 맡은 이는 신랑을 불러서
  5. 그에게 말하기를 "누구든지 먼저 좋은 포도주를 내놓고, 손님들이 취한 뒤에 덜 좋은 것을 내놓는데, 그대는 이렇게 좋은 포도주를 지금까지 남겨 두었구려!" 하였다.
  1. Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.
  2. Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.
  3. Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so,
  4. and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside
  5. and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."
  1. 예수께서 이 첫 번 표징을 갈릴리 가나에서 행하여 자기의 영광을 드러내시니, 그의 제자들이 그를 믿게 되었다.
  2. 이 일이 있은 뒤에, 예수께서는 그의 어머니와 형제들과 제자들과 함께 가버나움에 내려가셔서, 거기에 며칠 동안 머물러 계셨다.
  1. This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.
  2. After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples. There they stayed for a few days.
 
  성전 정화(2:13-2:25)    
 
  1. 유대 사람의 유월절이 가까워져서, 예수께서 예루살렘으로 올라가셨다.
  2. 그는 성전 뜰에서, 소와 양과 비둘기를 파는 사람들과 돈 바꾸어 주는 사람들이 앉아 있는 것을 보시고,
  3. 노끈으로 채찍을 만들어 양과 소와 함께 그들을 모두 성전에서 내쫓으시고, 돈 바꾸어 주는 사람들의 돈을 쏟아 버리시고, 상을 둘러 엎으셨다.
  4. 비둘기 파는 사람들에게는 "이것을 걷어치워라. 내 아버지의 집을 장사하는 집으로 만들지 말아라" 하고 말씀하셨다.
  5. 제자들은 '주님의 집을 생각하는 열정이 나를 삼킬 것이다' 하고 기록한 성경 말씀을 기억하였다.
  1. When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
  2. In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money.
  3. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
  4. To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!"
  5. His disciples remembered that it is written: "Zeal for your house will consume me."
  1. 유대 사람들이 예수께 물었다. "당신이 이런 일을 하다니, 무슨 표징을 우리에게 보여 주겠소?"
  2. 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "이 성전을 허물어라. 그러면 내가 사흘 만에 다시 세우겠다."
  3. 그러자 유대 사람들이 말하였다. "이 성전을 짓는 데에 마흔여섯 해나 걸렸는데, 이것을 사흘 만에 세우겠다구요?"
  4. 그러나 예수께서 성전이라고 하신 것은 자기 몸을 두고 하신 말씀이었다.
  5. 제자들은, 예수께서 죽은 사람들 가운데서 살아나신 뒤에야, 그가 말씀하신 것을 기억하고서, 성경 말씀과 예수께서 하신 말씀을 믿게 되었다.
  1. Then the Jews demanded of him, "What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?"
  2. Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days."
  3. The Jews replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?"
  4. But the temple he had spoken of was his body.
  5. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.
  1. 예수께서 유월절에 예루살렘에 계시는 동안에, 많은 사람이 그가 행하시는 표징을 보고 그 이름을 믿었다.
  2. 그러나 예수께서는 모든 사람을 알고 계시므로, 그들에게 몸을 맡기지 않으셨다.
  3. 그는 사람에 대해서는 어느 누구의 증언도 필요하지 않으셨기 때문이다. 그는 사람의 마음 속에 있는 것까지도 알고 계셨던 것이다.
  1. Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people saw the miraculous signs he was doing and believed in his name.
  2. But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men.
  3. He did not need man's testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.
