이사야

  주전 8세기 전반기에 앗수르의 세력이 날로 강해지는 상황에서 이사야는 이스라엘과 유다, 그리고 주변 국가들의 죄악상을 고발하고 그들에게 임할 하나님의 심판을 선포한다. 더 나아가 이사야는 바벨론의 멸망과 이스라엘의 회복, 그리고 그리스도의 수난과 메시아 왕국에까지 예언을 확대시키고 있다,

  1장부터 39장까지는 유다의 우상 숭배와 부도덕함, 사회 부정 고발, 열국들에게 다가올 심판과 메시아의 예언을 기록하고 있다. 40장부터 66장까지에는 하나님의 구속적 사랑을 통해 이스라엘과 열국 중에 의로운 남은 자들을 회복시키신다는 약속과 메시아를 통한 구원을 예언하고 있다.

 

 

이사야 1:1-2:22

 이사야는 유다와 예루살렘에 관한 이상을 보았는데, 그 이상 가운데 야웨께서 그를 따르지 않는 이스라엘을 책망하셨다고 하였다. 그러나 이스라엘 백성들의 심각한 죄에도 불구하고 하나님께로 돌이켜 순종하면 용서함을 받을 수 있지만, 거역하면 심판을 받게 될 것이라고 하였다.
  
  패역한 족속(1:1-1:31)    
 
  1. 이것은, 아모스의 아들 이사야가, 유다 왕 웃시야와 요담과 아하스와 히스기야 시대에, 유다와 예루살렘에 대하여 본 이상이다.
  2. 하늘아, 들어라! 땅아, 귀를 기울여라! 주님께서 말씀하신다. "내가 자식이라고 기르고 키웠는데, 그들이 나를 거역하였다.
  3. 소도 제 임자를 알고, 나귀도 주인이 저를 어떻게 먹여 키우는지 알건마는, 이스라엘은 알지 못하고, 나의 백성은 깨닫지 못하는구나."
  4. 슬프다! 죄 지은 민족, 허물이 많은 백성, 흉악한 종자, 타락한 자식들! 너희가 주님을 버렸구나. 이스라엘의 거룩하신 분을 업신여겨서, 등을 돌리고 말았구나.
  5. 어찌하여 너희는 더 맞을 일만 하느냐? 어찌하여 여전히 배반을 일삼느냐? 머리는 온통 상처투성이고, 속은 온통 골병이 들었으며,
  1. The vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem that Isaiah son of Amoz saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
  2. Hear, O heavens! Listen, O earth! For the LORD has spoken: "I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me.
  3. The ox knows his master, the donkey his owner's manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand."
  4. Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.
  5. Why should you be beaten anymore? Why do you persist in rebellion? Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted.
  1. 발바닥에서 정수리까지 성한 데가 없이, 상처난 곳과 매맞은 곳과 또 새로 맞아 생긴 상처뿐인데도, 그것을 짜내지도 못하고, 싸매지도 못하고, 상처가 가라앉게 기름을 바르지도 못하였구나.
  2. 너희의 땅이 황폐해지고, 너희의 성읍들이 송두리째 불에 탔으며, 너희의 농토에서 난 것을, 너희가 보는 앞에서 이방 사람들이 약탈해 갔다. 이방 사람들이 너희의 땅을 박살냈을 때처럼 황폐해지고 말았구나.
  3. 도성 시온이 외롭게 남아 있는 것이 포도원의 초막과 같으며, 참외밭의 원두막과 같고, 포위된 성읍과 같구나.
  4. 만군의 주님께서 우리 가운데 얼마라도 살아 남게 하시지 않으셨다면, 우리는 마치 소돔처럼 되고 고모라처럼 될 뻔하였다.
  5. 너희 소돔의 통치자들아! 주님의 말씀을 들어라. 너희 고모라의 백성아! 우리 하나님의 법에 귀를 기울여라.
  1. From the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness-- only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with oil.
  2. Your country is desolate, your cities burned with fire; your fields are being stripped by foreigners right before you, laid waste as when overthrown by strangers.
  3. The Daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, like a hut in a field of melons, like a city under siege.
  4. Unless the LORD Almighty had left us some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.
  5. Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom; listen to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah!
  1. 주님께서 말씀하신다. "무엇하러 나에게 이 많은 제물을 바치느냐? 나는 이제 숫양의 번제물과 살진 짐승의 기름기가 지겹고, 나는 이제 수송아지와 어린 양과 숫염소의 피도 싫다.
  2. 너희가 나의 앞에 보이러 오지만, 누가 너희에게 그것을 요구하였느냐? 나의 뜰만 밟을 뿐이다!
  3. 다시는 헛된 제물을 가져 오지 말아라. 다 쓸모 없는 것들이다. 분향하는 것도 나에게는 역겹고, 초하루와 안식일과 대회로 모이는 것도 참을 수 없으며, 거룩한 집회를 열어 놓고 못된 짓도 함께 하는 것을, 내가 더 이상 견딜 수 없다.
  4. 나는 정말로 너희의 초하루 행사와 정한 절기들이 싫다. 그것들은 오히려 나에게 짐이 될 뿐이다. 그것들을 짊어지기에는 내가 너무 지쳤다.
  5. 너희가 팔을 벌리고 기도한다 하더라도, 나는 거들떠보지도 않겠다. 너희가 아무리 많이 기도를 한다 하여도 나는 듣지 않겠다. 너희의 손에는 피가 가득하다.
  1. "The multitude of your sacrifices-- what are they to me?" says the LORD. "I have more than enough of burnt offerings, of rams and the fat of fattened animals; I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.
  2. When you come to appear before me, who has asked this of you, this trampling of my courts?
  3. Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations-- I cannot bear your evil assemblies.
  4. Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts my soul hates. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them.
  5. When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood;
  1. 너희는 씻어라. 스스로 정결하게 하여라. 내가 보는 앞에서 너희의 악한 행실을 버려라. 악한 일을 그치고,
  2. 옳은 일을 하는 것을 배워라. 정의를 찾아라. 억압받는 사람을 도와주어라. 고아의 송사를 변호하여 주고 과부의 송사를 변론하여 주어라."
  3. 주님께서 말씀하신다. "오너라! 우리가 서로 변론하자. 너희의 죄가 주홍빛과 같다 하여도 눈과 같이 희어질 것이며, 진홍빛과 같이 붉어도 양털과 같이 희어질 것이다.
  4. 너희가 기꺼이 하려는 마음으로 순종하면, 땅에서 나는 가장 좋은 소산을 먹을 것이다.
  5. 그러나 너희가 거절하고 배반하면, 칼날이 너희를 삼킬 것이다." 이것은 주님께서 친히 하신 말씀이다.
  1. wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight! Stop doing wrong,
  2. learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.
  3. "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
  4. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land;
  5. but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword." For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
  1. 그 신실하던 성읍이 어찌하여 창녀가 되었습니까? 그 안에 정의가 충만하고, 공의가 가득하더니, 이제는 살인자들이 판을 칩니다.
  2. 네가 만든 은은 불순물의 찌꺼기뿐이고, 네가 만든 가장 좋은 포도주에는 물이 섞여 있구나.
  3. 너의 지도자들은 주님께 반역하는 자들이요, 도둑의 짝이다. 모두들 뇌물이나 좋아하고, 보수나 계산하면서 쫓아다니고, 고아의 송사를 변호하여 주지 않고, 과부의 하소연쯤은 귓전으로 흘리는구나.
  4. 그러므로 주 곧 만군의 주, 이스라엘의 전능하신 분께서 말씀하신다. "내가 나의 대적들에게 나의 분노를 쏟겠다. 내가 나의 원수들에게 보복하여 한을 풀겠다.
  5. 이제 다시 내가 너를 때려서라도 잿물로 찌꺼기를 깨끗이 씻어 내듯 너를 씻고, 너에게서 모든 불순물을 없애겠다.
  1. See how the faithful city has become a harlot! She once was full of justice; righteousness used to dwell in her-- but now murderers!
  2. Your silver has become dross, your choice wine is diluted with water.
  3. Your rulers are rebels, companions of thieves; they all love bribes and chase after gifts. They do not defend the cause of the fatherless; the widow's case does not come before them.
  4. Therefore the Lord, the LORD Almighty, the Mighty One of Israel, declares: "Ah, I will get relief from my foes and avenge myself on my enemies.
  5. I will turn my hand against you; I will thoroughly purge away your dross and remove all your impurities.
  1. 옛날처럼 내가 사사들을 너에게 다시 세우고, 처음에 한 것처럼 슬기로운 지도자들을 너에게 보내 주겠다. 그런 다음에야 너를 '의의 성읍', '신실한 성읍'이라고 부르겠다."
  2. 시온은 정의로 구속함을 받고, 회개한 백성은 공의로 구속함을 받을 것이다.
  3. 그러나 거역하는 자들과 죄인들은 모두 함께 패망하고, 주님을 버리는 자들은 모두 멸망을 당할 것이다.
  4. 너희가 상수리나무 아래에서 우상 숭배를 즐겼으니, 수치를 당할 것이며, 너희가 동산에서 이방 신들을 즐겨 섬겼으므로 창피를 당할 것이다.
  5. 기어이 너희는 잎이 시든 상수리나무처럼 될 것이며, 물이 없는 동산과 같이 메마를 것이다.
  1. I will restore your judges as in days of old, your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City."
  2. Zion will be redeemed with justice, her penitent ones with righteousness.
  3. But rebels and sinners will both be broken, and those who forsake the LORD will perish.
  4. "You will be ashamed because of the sacred oaks in which you have delighted; you will be disgraced because of the gardens that you have chosen.
  5. You will be like an oak with fading leaves, like a garden without water.
  1. 강한 자가 삼오라기와 같이 되고, 그가 한 일은 불티와 같이 될 것이다. 이 둘이 함께 불타도 꺼 줄 사람 하나 없을 것이다.
  1. The mighty man will become tinder and his work a spark; both will burn together, with no one to quench the fire."
 
  주께서 오실 날(2:1-2:22)    
 
  1. 이것은 아모스의 아들 이사야가 유다와 예루살렘을 두고, 계시로 받은 말씀이다.
  2. 마지막 때에, 주님의 성전이 서 있는 산이 모든 산 가운데서 으뜸가는 산이 될 것이며, 모든 언덕보다 높이 솟을 것이니, 모든 민족이 물밀듯 그리로 모여들 것이다.
  3. 백성들이 오면서 이르기를 "자, 가자. 우리 모두 주님의 산으로 올라가자. 야곱의 하나님이 계신 성전으로 어서 올라가자. 주님께서 우리에게 주님의 길을 가르치실 것이니, 주님께서 가르치시는 길을 따르자" 할 것이다. 율법이 시온에서 나오며, 주님의 말씀이 예루살렘에서 나온다.
  4. 주님께서 민족들 사이의 분쟁을 판결하시고, 뭇 백성 사이의 갈등을 해결하실 것이니, 그들이 칼을 쳐서 보습을 만들고 창을 쳐서 낫을 만들 것이며, 나라와 나라가 칼을 들고 서로를 치지 않을 것이며, 다시는 군사훈련도 하지 않을 것이다.
  5. 오너라, 야곱 족속아! 주님의 빛 가운데서 걸어가자!
  1. This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
  2. In the last days the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.
  3. Many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
  4. He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
  5. Come, O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD.
  1. 주님, 주님께서는 주님의 백성 야곱 족속을 버리셨습니다. 그들에게는 동방의 미신이 가득합니다. 그들은 블레셋 사람들처럼 점을 치며, 이방 사람의 자손과 손을 잡고 언약을 맺었습니다.
  2. 그들의 땅에는 은과 금이 가득하고, 보화가 셀 수 없이 많습니다. 그들의 땅에는 군마가 가득하고, 병거도 셀 수 없이 많습니다.
  3. 그들의 땅에는 우상들로 꽉 차 있고, 그들은 제 손으로 만든 것과 제 손가락으로 만든 것에게 꿇어 엎드립니다.
  4. 이처럼 사람들이 천박해졌고 백성이 비굴해졌습니다. 그러니 그들을 용서하지 마십시오.
  5. 너희는 바위 틈으로 들어가고, 티끌 속에 숨어서, 주님의 그 두렵고 찬란한 영광 앞에서 피하여라.
  1. You have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob. They are full of superstitions from the East; they practice divination like the Philistines and clasp hands with pagans.
  2. Their land is full of silver and gold; there is no end to their treasures. Their land is full of horses; there is no end to their chariots.
  3. Their land is full of idols; they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their fingers have made.
  4. So man will be brought low and mankind humbled-- do not forgive them.
  5. Go into the rocks, hide in the ground from dread of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty!
  1. 그 날에 인간의 거만한 눈초리가 풀이 죽고, 사람의 거드름이 꺾이고, 오직 주님만 홀로 높임을 받으실 것이다.
  2. 그 날은 만군의 주님께서 준비하셨다. 모든 교만한 자와 거만한 자, 모든 오만한 자들이 낮아지는 날이다.
  3. 또 그 날은, 높이 치솟은 레바논의 모든 백향목과 바산의 모든 상수리나무와,
  4. 모든 높은 산과 모든 솟아오른 언덕과,
  5. 모든 높은 망대와 모든 튼튼한 성벽과,
  1. The eyes of the arrogant man will be humbled and the pride of men brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.
  2. The LORD Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled),
  3. for all the cedars of Lebanon, tall and lofty, and all the oaks of Bashan,
  4. for all the towering mountains and all the high hills,
  5. for every lofty tower and every fortified wall,
  1. 다시스의 모든 배와, 탐스러운 모든 조각물이 다 낮아지는 날이다.
  2. 그 날에, 인간의 거만이 꺾이고, 사람의 거드름은 풀이 죽을 것이다. 오직 주님만 홀로 높임을 받으시고,
  3. 우상들은 다 사라질 것이다.
  4. 그 때에 사람들이, 땅을 뒤흔들며 일어나시는 주님의 그 두렵고 찬란한 영광 앞에서 피하여, 바위 동굴과 땅굴로 들어갈 것이다.
  5. 그 날이 오면, 사람들은, 자기들이 경배하려고 만든 은 우상과 금 우상을 두더지와 박쥐에게 던져 버릴 것이다.
  1. for every trading ship and every stately vessel.
  2. The arrogance of man will be brought low and the pride of men humbled; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day,
  3. and the idols will totally disappear.
  4. Men will flee to caves in the rocks and to holes in the ground from dread of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.
  5. In that day men will throw away to the rodents and bats their idols of silver and idols of gold, which they made to worship.
  1. 땅을 뒤흔들며 일어나시는 주님의 그 두렵고 찬란한 영광 앞에서 피하여, 바위 구멍과 바위 틈으로 들어갈 것이다.
  2. "너희는 사람을 의지하지 말아라. 그의 숨이 코에 달려 있으니, 수에 셈할 가치가 어디에 있느냐?"
  1. They will flee to caverns in the rocks and to the overhanging crags from dread of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.
  2. Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?
