- 너의 손에 선을 행할 힘이 있거든, 도움을 청하는 사람에게 주저하지 말고 선을 행하여라.
- 네가 가진 것이 있으면서도, 너의 이웃에게 "갔다가 다시 오시오. 내일 주겠소" 말하지 말아라.
- 너를 의지하며 살고 있는 너의 이웃에게 해를 끼칠 계획은 꾸미지 말아라.
- 너에게 해를 끼치지 않는 사람과는, 까닭없이 다투지 말아라.
- 폭력을 휘두르는 사람을 부러워하지 말고, 그의 행위는 그 어떤 것이든 따르지 말아라.

- Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act.
- Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow"-- when you now have it with you.
- Do not plot harm against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you.
- Do not accuse a man for no reason-- when he has done you no harm.
- Do not envy a violent man or choose any of his ways,

- 참으로 주님은 역겨운 일을 하는 사람은 미워하시고, 바른길을 걷는 사람과는 늘 사귐을 가지신다.
- 주님은 악한 사람의 집에는 저주를 내리시지만, 의로운 사람이 사는 곳에는 복을 내려 주신다.
- 진실로 주님은, 조롱하는 사람을 비웃으시고, 겸손한 사람에게는 은혜를 베푸신다.
- 지혜있는 사람은 영광을 물려받고, 미련한 사람은 수치를 당할 뿐이다.

- The LORD's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous.
- He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble.
- The wise inherit honor, but fools he holds up to shame.
