예레미야 22:1-23:32

 하나님께서는 유다 말기 왕들인 여호아하스, 여호야김, 여호야긴이 하나님의 말씀을 떠나 악행을 저질러 심판받게 되었다고 말씀하셨다. 그리고 하나님께서 불의한 목자들을 폐하시고 다윗 왕가를 통해 의로운 목자를 세우실 것과 범죄한 유다의 거짓 선지자들이 재앙을 받게 될 것을 선포하셨다.
  
  악한 왕들의 심판(22:1-22:30)    
 
  1. "나 주가 말한다. 너는 유다 왕궁으로 내려가서, 그 곳에서 이 말을 선포하여라.
  2. 너는 이렇게 말하여라. '다윗의 보좌에 앉은 유다의 왕아, 너는 네 신하와 이 모든 성문으로 들어오는 네 백성과 함께 주가 하는 말을 들어라.
  3. 나 주가 말한다. 너희는 공평과 정의를 실천하고, 억압하는 자들의 손에서 고통받는 사람들을 구하여 주고, 외국인과 고아와 과부를 괴롭히거나 학대하지 말며, 이 곳에서 무죄한 사람의 피를 흘리게 하지 말아라.
  4. 너희가 이 명령을 철저히 실천하면, 다윗의 보좌에 앉는 왕들이 병거와 군마를 타고, 신하와 백성을 거느리고, 이 왕궁의 대문 안으로 들어올 것이다.
  5. 그러나 내가 스스로 맹세하지만, 너희가 이 명에 순종하지 않으면, 바로 이 왕궁은 폐허가 될 것이다.' 나 주의 말이다.
  1. This is what the LORD says: "Go down to the palace of the king of Judah and proclaim this message there:
  2. 'Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, you who sit on David's throne--you, your officials and your people who come through these gates.
  3. This is what the LORD says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place.
  4. For if you are careful to carry out these commands, then kings who sit on David's throne will come through the gates of this palace, riding in chariots and on horses, accompanied by their officials and their people.
  5. But if you do not obey these commands, declares the LORD, I swear by myself that this palace will become a ruin.' "
  1. 이것은 나 주가 유다 왕실을 두고 하는 말이다. 네가 나에게 길르앗과도 같고 레바논 산 꼭대기와 같았으나, 이제는 내가 너를 사막으로 만들고 아무도 살지 않는 성읍으로 만들겠다.
  2. 내가 너를 무너뜨릴 사람들을 불러다가, 그들에게 연장을 마련하여 줄 것이니, 그들이 너의 가장 좋은 백향목들을 찍어 내어, 불 속으로 집어 던질 것이다.
  3. 그러면 많은 민족이 이 도성을 지나갈 때에, 서로 묻기를 '주님께서 무엇 때문에 이 큰 도성을 이렇게 폐허로 만들어 놓으셨는가?' 하면,
  4. 그들이 또한 서로 대답하기를 '그들이 주 그들의 하나님과 맺은 언약을 깨뜨리고, 다른 신들을 경배하면서 섬겼기 때문이다' 할 것이다."
  5. 너희는 죽은 왕 때문에 울지 말며, 그의 죽음을 슬퍼하지 말아라. 오히려, 너희는 잡혀 간 왕을 생각하고 슬피 울어라. 그는 절대로 다시 돌아오지 못한다. 다시는 고향 땅을 보지 못한다.
  1. For this is what the LORD says about the palace of the king of Judah: "Though you are like Gilead to me, like the summit of Lebanon, I will surely make you like a desert, like towns not inhabited.
  2. I will send destroyers against you, each man with his weapons, and they will cut up your fine cedar beams and throw them into the fire.
  3. "People from many nations will pass by this city and will ask one another, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this great city?'
  4. And the answer will be: 'Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God and have worshiped and served other gods.' "
  5. Do not weep for the dead king or mourn his loss; rather, weep bitterly for him who is exiled, because he will never return nor see his native land again.
  1. 부왕 요시야의 대를 이어서, 유다 왕이 되어 다스리다가, 이 곳에서 포로가 되어 잡혀 간, 유다 왕 요시야의 아들 살룸을 두고 주님께서 말씀하신다. "그는 영영 이 곳으로 돌아오지 못할 것이다.
  2. 그는 잡혀 간 곳에서 죽을 것이며, 이 땅을 다시는 보지 못할 것이다."
  3. "불의로 궁전을 짓고, 불법으로 누각을 쌓으며, 동족을 고용하고도, 품삯을 주지 않는 너에게 화가 미칠 것이다.
  4. '내가 살 집을 넓게 지어야지. 누각도 크게 만들어야지' 하면서, 집에 창문을 만들어 달고, 백향목 판자로 그 집을 단장하고, 붉은 색을 칠한다.
  5. 네가 남보다 백향목을 더 많이 써서, 집 짓기를 경쟁한다고 해서, 네가 더 좋은 왕이 될 수 있겠느냐? 네 아버지가 먹고 마시지 않았느냐? 법과 정의를 실천하지 않았느냐? 그 때에 그가 형통하였다.
  1. For this is what the LORD says about Shallum son of Josiah, who succeeded his father as king of Judah but has gone from this place: "He will never return.
  2. He will die in the place where they have led him captive; he will not see this land again."
  3. "Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his countrymen work for nothing, not paying them for their labor.
  4. He says, 'I will build myself a great palace with spacious upper rooms.' So he makes large windows in it, panels it with cedar and decorates it in red.
  5. "Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar? Did not your father have food and drink? He did what was right and just, so all went well with him.
  1. 그는 가난한 사람과 억압받는 사람의 사정을 헤아려서 처리해 주면서, 잘 살지 않았느냐? 바로 이것이 나를 아는 것이 아니겠느냐? 나 주의 말이다.
  2. 그런데 너의 눈과 마음은 불의한 이익을 탐하는 것과 무죄한 사람의 피를 흘리게 하는 것과 백성을 억압하고 착취하는 것에만 쏠려 있다."
  3. 그러므로 주님께서 유다 왕 요시야의 아들 여호야김을 두고 이렇게 말씀하신다. "아무도 여호야김의 죽음을 애도하지 않을 것이다. 남자들도 '슬프다!' 하지 않고 여자들도 '애석하다!' 하지 않을 것이다. '슬픕니다, 임금님! 슬픕니다, 폐하!' 하며 애곡할 사람도 없을 것이다.
  4. 사람들은 그를 끌어다가 예루살렘 성문 밖으로 멀리 내던지고, 마치 나귀처럼 묻어 버릴 것이다."
  5. "예루살렘아, 너는 레바논 산에 올라가서 통곡하여라. 바산 평야에서 소리를 지르고, 아바림 산등성에서 통곡하여라. 너의 모든 동맹국이 멸망하였다.
  1. He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?" declares the LORD.
  2. "But your eyes and your heart are set only on dishonest gain, on shedding innocent blood and on oppression and extortion."
  3. Therefore this is what the LORD says about Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah: "They will not mourn for him: 'Alas, my brother! Alas, my sister!' They will not mourn for him: 'Alas, my master! Alas, his splendor!'
  4. He will have the burial of a donkey-- dragged away and thrown outside the gates of Jerusalem."
  5. "Go up to Lebanon and cry out, let your voice be heard in Bashan, cry out from Abarim, for all your allies are crushed.
  1. 네가 평안하였을 때에는 내가 너에게 경고를 하여도 '나는 듣지 않겠다!' 하고 거부하였다. 너는 어렸을 때부터 이런 버릇이 있어서, 언제나 나의 말을 듣지 않았다.
  2. 너의 목자들은 모두 바람에 휩쓸려 가고, 너의 동맹국 백성은 포로가 되어 끌려갈 것이다. 참으로 그 때에는, 너의 온갖 죄악 때문에, 네가 수치와 멸시를 당할 것이다.
  3. 네가 지금은 레바논 산 위에 터를 잡고 사는 듯하고, 백향목 나무 위의 보금자리에 깃들이고 있는 것 같지만, 해산하는 여인의 진통 같은 아픔이 너에게 덮쳐 오면, 너의 신음이 땅을 뒤흔들 것이다."
  4. "나 주의 말이다. 내가 내 삶을 두고 맹세한다. 여호야김의 아들 유다 왕 고니야야, 네가 내 오른손에 낀 옥새 가락지라고 하더라도, 내가 너를 거기에서 빼버리겠다.
  5. 네 목숨을 노리는 사람들의 손과, 네가 무서워하는 사람들의 손과, 바빌로니아 왕 느부갓네살의 손과, 바빌로니아 사람들의 손에, 내가 너를 넘겨 주겠다.
  1. I warned you when you felt secure, but you said, 'I will not listen!' This has been your way from your youth; you have not obeyed me.
  2. The wind will drive all your shepherds away, and your allies will go into exile. Then you will be ashamed and disgraced because of all your wickedness.
  3. You who live in 'Lebanon, ' who are nestled in cedar buildings, how you will groan when pangs come upon you, pain like that of a woman in labor!
  4. "As surely as I live," declares the LORD, "even if you, Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, were a signet ring on my right hand, I would still pull you off.
  5. I will hand you over to those who seek your life, those you fear--to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and to the Babylonians.
  1. 나는 너와 네 친어머니를, 너희가 태어나지 않은 곳인 이국 땅으로 쫓아내어, 거기에서 죽게 할 것이다.
  2. 마침내 그들은 그처럼 돌아가고 싶어하던 고향으로 영영 돌아갈 수가 없을 것이다."
  3. 이 사람 고니야는 깨져서 버려진 항아리인가? 아무도 거들떠보려고 하지 않는 질그릇인가? 어찌하여 그는 자신도 모르는 낯선 땅으로 가족과 함께 쫓겨나서, 멀리 끌려가게 되었는가?
  4. 땅이여, 땅이여, 땅이여, 주님의 말씀을 들어라.
  5. "나 주가 말한다. 너희는 이 사람을 두고 '그는 자녀도 없고, 한평생 낙을 누리지도 못할 사람'이라고 기록하여라. 다윗의 왕위에 앉아서 유다를 다스릴 자손이, 그에게서는 나지 않을 것이다."
  1. I will hurl you and the mother who gave you birth into another country, where neither of you was born, and there you both will die.
  2. You will never come back to the land you long to return to."
  3. Is this man Jehoiachin a despised, broken pot, an object no one wants? Why will he and his children be hurled out, cast into a land they do not know?
  4. O land, land, land, hear the word of the LORD!
  5. This is what the LORD says: "Record this man as if childless, a man who will not prosper in his lifetime, for none of his offspring will prosper, none will sit on the throne of David or rule anymore in Judah."
 
  메시아와 거짓 선지자들(23:1-23:32)    
 
  1. "내 목장의 양 떼를 죽이고 흩어 버린 목자들아, 너희는 저주를 받아라. 나 주의 말이다.
  2. 그러므로 나 주 이스라엘의 하나님이 내 백성을 돌보는 목자들에게 말한다. 너희는 내 양 떼를 흩어서 몰아내고, 그 양들을 돌보아 주지 아니하였다. 너희의 그 악한 행실을 내가 이제 벌하겠다. 나 주의 말이다.
  3. 이제는 내가 친히 내 양 떼 가운데서 남은 양들을 모으겠다. 내가 쫓아냈던 모든 나라에서 모아서, 다시 그들이 살던 목장으로 데려오겠다. 그러면 그들이 번성하여 수가 많아질 것이다.
  4. 내가 그들을 돌보아 줄 참다운 목자들을 세워 줄 것이니, 그들이 다시는 두려워하거나 무서워 떠는 일이 없을 것이며, 하나도 잃어버리는 일이 없을 것이다. 나 주의 말이다.
  5. 내가 다윗에게서 의로운 가지가 하나 돋아나게 할 그 날이 오고 있다. 나 주의 말이다. 그는 왕이 되어 슬기롭게 통치하면서, 세상에 공평과 정의를 실현할 것이다.
  1. "Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!" declares the LORD.
  2. Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: "Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done," declares the LORD.
  3. "I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number.
  4. I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing," declares the LORD.
  5. "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.
  1. 그 때가 오면 유다가 구원을 받을 것이며, 이스라엘이 안전한 거처가 될 것이다. 사람들이 그 이름을 '주님은 우리의 구원이시다'라고 부를 것이다.
  2. 그러므로 보아라, 그 날이 지금 오고 있다. 나 주의 말이다. 그 때에는 사람들이 다시는 '이스라엘 백성을 이집트 땅에서 이끌어 내신 주'의 살아 계심을 두고 맹세하지 않고,
  3. 그 대신에 '이스라엘 집의 자손이 쫓겨가서 살던 북녘 땅과 그 밖의 모든 나라에서 그들을 이끌어 내신 주'의 살아 계심을 두고 맹세할 것이다. 그 때에는 그들이 고향 땅에서 살 것이다."
  4. 예언자들아, 들어라. 내 심장이 내 속에서 터지고, 내 모든 뼈가 떨리며, 내가 취한 사람처럼 되고, 포도주에 곯아떨어진 사람처럼 되었으니, 이것은 주님 때문이요, 그의 거룩한 말씀 때문이다.
  5. 진실로 이 땅에는 음행하는 자들이 가득 차 있다. 진실로 이런 자들 때문에 땅이 슬퍼하며, 광야의 초장들은 메마른다. 그들이 하는 일이 악하며, 그들이 힘쓰는 일도 옳지 못하다.
  1. In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness.
  2. "So then, the days are coming," declares the LORD, "when people will no longer say, 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,'
  3. but they will say, 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.' Then they will live in their own land."
  4. Concerning the prophets: My heart is broken within me; all my bones tremble. I am like a drunken man, like a man overcome by wine, because of the LORD and his holy words.
  5. The land is full of adulterers; because of the curse the land lies parched and the pastures in the desert are withered. The prophets follow an evil course and use their power unjustly.
  1. "예언자도 썩었고, 제사장도 썩었다. 심지어, 나는 그들이 나의 성전 안에서도, 악행을 저지르는 것을 보았다. 나 주의 말이다.
  2. 그러므로 그들의 길이 미끄럽고 캄캄한 곳이 될 것이며, 그들이 그 곳에서 떠밀려 넘어지게 될 것이다. 내가 정한 해가 되면, 그들에게 재앙을 내리겠다. 나 주의 말이다.
  3. 나는 일찍이 사마리아의 예언자들에게서 못마땅한 일들을 보았다. 그들은 바알의 이름으로 예언하여, 내 백성 이스라엘을 그릇된 길로 인도하였다.
  4. 그런데 이제 내가 예루살렘의 예언자들에게서 끔찍한 일들을 보았다. 그들은 간음을 하고 거짓말을 한다. 악행을 저지르는 자들을 도와서, 어느 누구도 죄악에서 떠날 수 없게 한다. 내가 보기에 그들은 모두 소돔 사람들과 같이 되었고, 예루살렘의 주민은 고모라 백성과 같이 되었다."
  5. "그러므로, 이런 예언자들을 두고, 나 만군의 주가 말한다. 내가 그들에게 쓴 쑥을 먹이며, 독을 탄 물을 마시게 하겠다. 죄악이 예루살렘의 예언자들에게서 솟아 나와서, 온 나라에 퍼졌기 때문이다."
  1. "Both prophet and priest are godless; even in my temple I find their wickedness," declares the LORD.
  2. "Therefore their path will become slippery; they will be banished to darkness and there they will fall. I will bring disaster on them in the year they are punished," declares the LORD.
  3. "Among the prophets of Samaria I saw this repulsive thing: They prophesied by Baal and led my people Israel astray.
  4. And among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: They commit adultery and live a lie. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from his wickedness. They are all like Sodom to me; the people of Jerusalem are like Gomorrah."
  5. Therefore, this is what the LORD Almighty says concerning the prophets: "I will make them eat bitter food and drink poisoned water, because from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has spread throughout the land."
  1. "나 만군의 주가 말한다. 스스로 예언자라고 하는 자들에게서 예언을 듣지 말아라. 그들은 헛된 말로 너희를 속이고 있다. 그들은 나 주의 입에서 나온 말을 전하는 것이 아니라, 자기들의 마음 속에서 나온 환상을 말할 뿐이다.
  2. 그들은 나 주의 말을 멸시하는 자들에게도 말하기를 '만사가 형통할 것이다. 주님의 말씀이다' 한다. 제 고집대로 살아가는 모든 사람에게도 '너희에게는 어떠한 재앙도 내리지 않을 것이다!' 하고 말한다.
  3. 그러나 그 거짓 예언자들 가운데서 누가 나 주의 회의에 들어와서, 나를 보았느냐? 누가 나의 말을 들었느냐? 누가 귀를 기울여 나의 말을 들었느냐?
  4. 보아라, 나 주의 분노가 폭풍처럼 터져 나온다. 회오리바람처럼 밀려와서 악인들의 머리를 후려칠 것이다.
  5. 나 주는 나의 마음 속에 뜻한 바를 시행하고 이룰 때까지, 분노를 풀지 않을 것이다. 마지막 날이 오면, 너희가 이것을 분명히 깨달을 것이다."
  1. This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.
  2. They keep saying to those who despise me, 'The LORD says: You will have peace.' And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts they say, 'No harm will come to you.'
  3. But which of them has stood in the council of the LORD to see or to hear his word? Who has listened and heard his word?
  4. See, the storm of the LORD will burst out in wrath, a whirlwind swirling down on the heads of the wicked.
  5. The anger of the LORD will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart. In days to come you will understand it clearly.
  1. "이런 예언자들은 내가 보내지 않았는데도 스스로 달려나갔으며, 내가 그들에게 말을 하지 않았는 데도 스스로 예언을 하였다.
  2. 그들이 나의 회의에 들어왔다면, 내 백성에게 나의 말을 들려주어서, 내 백성을 악한 생활과 악한 행실에서 돌아서게 할 수 있었을 것이다."
  3. "내가 가까운 곳의 하나님이며, 먼 곳의 하나님은 아닌 줄 아느냐? 나 주의 말이다.
  4. 사람이 제아무리 은밀한 곳에 숨는다고 하여도, 그는 내 눈에서 벗어날 수 없다. 나 주의 말이다. 내가 하늘과 땅 어디에나 있는 줄을 모르느냐?"
  5. "나의 이름을 팔아 거짓말로 예언하는 예언자들이 있다. '내가 꿈에 보았다! 내가 꿈에 계시를 받았다!' 하고 주장하는 말을 내가 들었다.
  1. I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied.
  2. But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds.
  3. "Am I only a God nearby," declares the LORD, "and not a God far away?
  4. Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?" declares the LORD. "Do not I fill heaven and earth?" declares the LORD.
  5. "I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name. They say, 'I had a dream! I had a dream!'
  1. 이 예언자들이 언제까지 거짓으로 예언을 하겠으며, 언제까지 자기들의 마음 속에서 꾸며낸 환상으로 거짓 예언을 하겠느냐?
  2. 그들은, 조상이 바알을 섬기며 내 이름을 잊었듯이, 서로 꿈 이야기를 주고받으면서, 내 백성이 내 이름을 잊어 버리도록 계략을 꾸미고 있다.
  3. 꿈을 꾼 예언자가 꿈 이야기를 하더라도, 내 말을 받은 예언자는 충실하게 내 말만 전하여라. 알곡과 쭉정이가 서로 무슨 상관이 있느냐? 나 주의 말이다.
  4. 내 말은 맹렬하게 타는 불이다. 바위를 부수는 망치다. 나 주의 말이다.
  5. 그러므로 보아라, 내 말을 도둑질이나 하는 이런 예언자들을, 내가 대적하겠다! 나 주의 말이다.
  1. How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds?
  2. They think the dreams they tell one another will make my people forget my name, just as their fathers forgot my name through Baal worship.
  3. Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream, but let the one who has my word speak it faithfully. For what has straw to do with grain?" declares the LORD.
  4. "Is not my word like fire," declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
  5. "Therefore," declares the LORD, "I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from me.
  1. 하나님의 말씀을 전한다고 제멋대로 혀를 놀리는 예언자들을, 내가 대적하겠다! 나 주의 말이다.
  2. 허황된 꿈들을 예언이라고 떠들어대는 자들은 내가 대적하겠다. 나 주의 말이다. 그들은 거짓말과 허풍으로 내 백성을 그릇된 길로 빠지게 하는 자들이다. 나는 절대로 그들을 보내지도 않았으며, 그들에게 예언을 하라고 명하지도 않았다. 그러므로 그들은 이 백성에게 아무런 유익도 끼칠 수 없는 자들이다. 나 주의 말이다."
  1. Yes," declares the LORD, "I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, 'The LORD declares.'
  2. Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," declares the LORD. "They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least," declares the LORD.
