에스겔 21:1-22:22

 하나님께서는 칼의 비유로써 바벨론을 통한 유다의 심판을 예고하셨다. 심판의 도구가 되는 바벨론 왕은 점친 결과에 따라 먼저 예루살렘을 공격한 후 암몬을 침공하게 되었다. 또한 하나님께서는 유다가 심판받는 원인이 그들의 범죄에 있음을 밝히시고 그들을 준엄히 심판함으로써 정화시키실 것임을 예고하셨다.
  
  하나님의 심판의 칼(21:1-21:32)    
 
  1. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "사람아, 너는 얼굴을 예루살렘 쪽으로 돌리고, 그 곳의 성전을 규탄하여 외치고, 이스라엘 땅을 규탄하여 예언하여라.
  3. 너는 이스라엘 땅에 전하여라. '나 주가 말한다. 내가 너를 대적한다. 칼집에서 칼을 뽑아, 너희 가운데 있는 의인과 악인을 다 쳐죽이겠다.
  4. 내가 너희 가운데서 의인과 악인을 다 쳐죽일 것이므로, 칼을 칼집에서 빼어서, 무릇 육체를 가진 모든 사람을 남쪽에서 북쪽에까지 칠 것이니,
  5. 그 때에야 비로소, 육체를 지닌 모든 사람이 내가 칼집에서 칼을 빼어 든 줄을 알 것이다. 그 칼은 절대로 칼집에 다시 꽂히지 않을 것이다.'
  1. The word of the LORD came to me:
  2. "Son of man, set your face against Jerusalem and preach against the sanctuary. Prophesy against the land of Israel
  3. and say to her: 'This is what the LORD says: I am against you. I will draw my sword from its scabbard and cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked.
  4. Because I am going to cut off the righteous and the wicked, my sword will be unsheathed against everyone from south to north.
  5. Then all people will know that I the LORD have drawn my sword from its scabbard; it will not return again.'
  1. 너 사람아, 탄식하여라. 그들이 보는 앞에서 허리가 끊어지는 듯이 괴로워하면서, 슬피 탄식하여라.
  2. 사람들이 무엇 때문에 탄식하느냐고 물으면, 너는 그들에게 '재앙이 다가온다는 소문 때문이다. 사람마다 간담이 녹으며, 두 손에 맥이 빠지며, 모두들 넋을 잃으며, 모든 무릎이 떨 것이다. 재앙이 닥쳐 오고 있다. 반드시 이룰 것이다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다' 하고 말하여라."
  3. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  4. "사람아, 예언을 전하여라. '나 주가 말한다. 칼이다! 칼에 날이 섰다. 칼이 번쩍거린다.
  5. 사정없이 죽이려고 칼에 날을 세웠으며, 번개처럼 휘두르려고 칼에 광을 냈다. 내 백성이 모든 경고와 심판을 무시하였으니, 어찌 기쁨이 있을 수 있겠는가?
  1. "Therefore groan, son of man! Groan before them with broken heart and bitter grief.
  2. And when they ask you, 'Why are you groaning?' you shall say, 'Because of the news that is coming. Every heart will melt and every hand go limp; every spirit will become faint and every knee become as weak as water.' It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign LORD."
  3. The word of the LORD came to me:
  4. "Son of man, prophesy and say, 'This is what the Lord says: " 'A sword, a sword, sharpened and polished-
  5. sharpened for the slaughter, polished to flash like lightning! " 'Shall we rejoice in the scepter of my son Judah ? The sword despises every such stick.
  1. 그 사람의 손에 쥐어 주려고 칼에 광을 내었다. 살육자의 손에 넘겨 주려고 그렇게 시퍼렇게 날을 세우고 광을 냈다.
  2. 사람아, 너는 부르짖으며 통곡하여라. 그 칼이 내 백성을 치고, 이스라엘의 모든 지도자를 칠 것이다. 지도자들과 나의 백성이 함께 칼에 찔려 죽을 것이다. 그러므로 너는 가슴을 치며 통곡하여라.
  3. 내가 내 백성을 시험하겠다. 내 백성이 회개하기를 거절하면, 이 모든 일들이 그들에게 닥칠 것이다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다.
  4. 너 사람아, 예언을 전하여라. 손뼉을 쳐라. 그 칼이 두세 번 휘둘릴 것이다. 그것은 사람을 죽이는 칼이요, 큰 무리를 학살하는 칼이다. 사람들 주위를 빙빙 도는 칼이다.
  5. 사람들의 간담이 녹고, 많은 사람이 쓰러져 죽을 것이다. 내가 성문마다 살육하는 칼을 세워 놓았다. 번개처럼 번쩍이는 칼, 사람을 죽이려고 날카롭게 간 칼이다.
  1. " 'The sword is appointed to be polished, to be grasped with the hand; it is sharpened and polished, made ready for the hand of the slayer.
  2. Cry out and wail, son of man, for it is against my people; it is against all the princes of Israel. They are thrown to the sword along with my people. Therefore beat your breast.
  3. " 'Testing will surely come. And what if the scepter of Judah , which the sword despises, does not continue? declares the Sovereign LORD.'
  4. "So then, son of man, prophesy and strike your hands together. Let the sword strike twice, even three times. It is a sword for slaughter-- a sword for great slaughter, closing in on them from every side.
  5. So that hearts may melt and the fallen be many, I have stationed the sword for slaughter at all their gates. Oh! It is made to flash like lightning, it is grasped for slaughter.
  1. 칼아, 날을 세워 오른쪽을 치며 방향을 잡아 왼쪽을 쳐라. 어느 쪽이든지 너의 날로 쳐라.
  2. 나도 손뼉을 치겠다. 나의 분노도 풀릴 것이다. 나 주가 말한다.'"
  3. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  4. "너 사람아, 바빌로니아 왕이 칼을 가지고 올 수 있는 두 길을 그려라. 그 두 길은 같은 나라에서 시작되도록 그려라. 길이 나뉘는 곳에는 안내판을 세워라.
  5. 칼이 암몬 자손의 랍바로 갈 수 있는 길과, 유다의 견고한 성읍인 예루살렘으로 갈 수 있는 길을 그려라.
  1. O sword, slash to the right, then to the left, wherever your blade is turned.
  2. I too will strike my hands together, and my wrath will subside. I the LORD have spoken."
  3. The word of the LORD came to me:
  4. "Son of man, mark out two roads for the sword of the king of Babylon to take, both starting from the same country. Make a signpost where the road branches off to the city.
  5. Mark out one road for the sword to come against Rabbah of the Ammonites and another against Judah and fortified Jerusalem.
  1. 바빌로니아 왕이 그 두 길이 시작되는 갈림길에 이르러서는, 어느 길로 가야 할지 알아보려고 점을 칠 것이다. 화살들을 흔들거나, 드라빔 우상에게 묻거나, 희생제물의 간을 살펴보고, 점을 칠 것이다.
  2. 점괘는 오른쪽에 있는 예루살렘으로 가서, 성벽을 허무는 쇠망치를 설치하고, 입을 열어 죽이라는 명령을 내리며, 전투의 함성을 드높이고, 성문마다 성벽을 허무는 쇠망치를 설치하고, 흙 언덕을 쌓고, 높은 사다리를 세우라고 나올 것이다.
  3. 예루살렘 주민에게는 이것이 헛된 점괘로 보이겠지만, 이 점괘는 예루살렘 주민에게 자신들의 죄를 상기시킬 것이며, 예루살렘 주민이 바빌로니아 왕의 손에 잡혀 갈 것임을 경고할 것이다.
  4. 그러므로 나 주 하나님이 말한다. 너희의 죄가 폭로되었다. 너희가 얼마나 범죄하였는지, 이제 모두 알고 있다. 너희의 행실에서 너희의 온갖 죄가 드러났으니, 너는 벌을 면할 수 없다. 나는 너를 너의 적의 손에 넘겨 주겠다.
  5. 너, 극악무도한 이스라엘 왕아, 네가 최후의 형벌을 받을 그 날이 왔고, 그 시각이 되었다.
  1. For the king of Babylon will stop at the fork in the road, at the junction of the two roads, to seek an omen: He will cast lots with arrows, he will consult his idols, he will examine the liver.
  2. Into his right hand will come the lot for Jerusalem, where he is to set up battering rams, to give the command to slaughter, to sound the battle cry, to set battering rams against the gates, to build a ramp and to erect siege works.
  3. It will seem like a false omen to those who have sworn allegiance to him, but he will remind them of their guilt and take them captive.
  4. "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'Because you people have brought to mind your guilt by your open rebellion, revealing your sins in all that you do--because you have done this, you will be taken captive.
  5. " 'O profane and wicked prince of Israel, whose day has come, whose time of punishment has reached its climax,
  1. 나 주 하나님이 말한다. 왕관을 벗기고, 면류관을 제거하여라. 이대로 있어서는 안 될 것이다. 낮은 사람은 높이고, 높은 사람은 낮추어라!
  2. 내가 무너뜨리고, 무너뜨리고, 또 무너뜨릴 것이다. 그러나 이런 일도 다시는 있지 않을 것이다. 다스릴 권리가 있는 그 사람이 오면, 나는 그것을 그에게 넘겨 주겠다."
  3. "너 사람아, 나 주 하나님이 암몬 자손과 그들이 받을 질책을 말하니, 너는 이 예언을 전하여라. 이것을 너는 암몬 자손에게 전하여라. '칼이다. 칼이 뽑혔다. 무찔러 죽이려고 뽑혔다. 다 없애 버리고, 번개처럼 휘두르려고 광을 냈다.
  4. 점쟁이들이 너에게 보여 주는 점괘는 헛된 것이요, 너에게 전하여 주는 예언도 거짓말이다. 네가 죄를 지었으니, 네가 악하니, 그 날이 온다. 최후의 심판을 받을 날이 온다. 칼이 네 목 위에 떨어질 것이다.
  5. 칼은 다시 칼집으로 돌아가거라. 암몬 자손아, 네가 지음을 받은 곳, 네가 자라난 곳에서 내가 너를 심판하겠다.
  1. this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Take off the turban, remove the crown. It will not be as it was: The lowly will be exalted and the exalted will be brought low.
  2. A ruin! A ruin! I will make it a ruin! It will not be restored until he comes to whom it rightfully belongs; to him I will give it.'
  3. "And you, son of man, prophesy and say, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says about the Ammonites and their insults: " 'A sword, a sword, drawn for the slaughter, polished to consume and to flash like lightning!
  4. Despite false visions concerning you and lying divinations about you, it will be laid on the necks of the wicked who are to be slain, whose day has come, whose time of punishment has reached its climax.
  5. Return the sword to its scabbard. In the place where you were created, in the land of your ancestry, I will judge you.
  1. 나의 분노를 너에게 쏟아 붓고, 타오르는 진노의 불길을 너에게 내뿜고, 사람 죽이는 데 능숙한 짐승 같은 사람들의 손에 너를 넘겨 주겠다.
  2. 너는 불의 땔감이 될 것이며, 너는 네 나라의 한복판에 피를 쏟을 것이다. 너는 더 이상 기억에 남지 않을 것이다. 나 주가 말한다.'"
  1. I will pour out my wrath upon you and breathe out my fiery anger against you; I will hand you over to brutal men, men skilled in destruction.
  2. You will be fuel for the fire, your blood will be shed in your land, you will be remembered no more; for I the LORD have spoken.' "
 
  예루살렘의 죄악상(22:1-22:22)    
 
  1. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "너 사람아, 심판할 준비가 되었느냐? 저 피 흘린 성읍을 심판할 준비가 되었느냐? 너는 먼저, 그 성읍 사람들이 저지른 모든 역겨운 일을, 그들이 깨닫게 하여라.
  3. 그들에게 전하여라. '나 주 하나님이 말한다. 많은 백성을 죽이고 우상들을 만들어 스스로를 더럽힌 성읍아, 네가 심판 받을 때가 다가온다.
  4. 너는 살인죄를 저질렀고, 우상을 만들어 숭배하였으므로, 너 자신을 더럽혔다. 그러므로 네가 심판받을 날이 다가온다. 너의 때가 다 되었다. 내가 너를, 이방 사람들의 치욕거리가 되게 하고 모든 나라의 조롱거리가 되게 한 까닭도, 바로 여기에 있다.
  5. 이미 이름을 더럽히고, 소란스러운 일로 가득 찬 성읍아, 너에게 가까이 있는 사람들이나, 너에게서 멀리 떨어져 있는 사람들이나, 그들이 모두 너를 조롱할 것이다.
  1. The word of the LORD came to me:
  2. "Son of man, will you judge her? Will you judge this city of bloodshed? Then confront her with all her detestable practices
  3. and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O city that brings on herself doom by shedding blood in her midst and defiles herself by making idols,
  4. you have become guilty because of the blood you have shed and have become defiled by the idols you have made. You have brought your days to a close, and the end of your years has come. Therefore I will make you an object of scorn to the nations and a laughingstock to all the countries.
  5. Those who are near and those who are far away will mock you, O infamous city, full of turmoil.
  1. 이스라엘의 지도자들은 제각기 자신의 권력을 믿고, 네 안에서 살인을 서슴지 않았다.
  2. 성읍아, 네 안에서 살고 있는 그들이 아버지와 어머니를 업신여기며, 네 한복판에서 나그네를 학대하고, 네 안에서 고아와 과부를 구박하였다.
  3. 너는 내 거룩한 물건들을 업신여겼으며 내 안식일을 더럽혔다.
  4. 네 안에는 살인을 하려고 남을 헐뜯는 사람들이 있으며, 네 안에는 산에서 우상의 제물을 먹는 사람들이 있으며, 네 한복판에서 음행을 하는 사람들이 있다.
  5. 네 안에는 아버지의 아내인 계모와 관계하는 자식이 있고, 네 안에는 월경을 하고 있는 부정한 여자와 관계하는 남편이 있다.
  1. " 'See how each of the princes of Israel who are in you uses his power to shed blood.
  2. In you they have treated father and mother with contempt; in you they have oppressed the alien and mistreated the fatherless and the widow.
  3. You have despised my holy things and desecrated my Sabbaths.
  4. In you are slanderous men bent on shedding blood; in you are those who eat at the mountain shrines and commit lewd acts.
  5. In you are those who dishonor their fathers' bed; in you are those who violate women during their period, when they are ceremonially unclean.
  1. 또 이웃 사람의 아내와 더러운 죄를 짓는 남자가 있으며, 음행으로 자기의 며느리를 욕보이는 시아버지가 있으며, 아버지의 딸인 자기 누이를 욕보이는 아들도 네 안에 있다.
  2. 돈을 받고 살인을 하는 자도 있고, 고리대금업을 하는 자, 모든 이웃을 억압하고 착취하는 자도, 네 안에 있다. 그러면서도 너는 나를 잊고 있다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다.
  3. 네가 착취한 불의한 이익과 네 한복판에서 벌어진 살인 때문에, 내가 분노하여 두 주먹을 불끈 쥐고 벼르고 있다.
  4. 내가 너를 해치우는 날에, 너의 심장이 배겨 나겠느냐? 네 두 손에 계속 힘이 있겠느냐? 나 주가 말하였으니, 내가 반드시 이루겠다.
  5. 내가 너의 주민을 이방 사람들 속에 흩으며, 여러 나라로 흩뿌려서, 네게서 더러운 것을 소멸시키겠다.
  1. In you one man commits a detestable offense with his neighbor's wife, another shamefully defiles his daughter-in-law, and another violates his sister, his own father's daughter.
  2. In you men accept bribes to shed blood; you take usury and excessive interest and make unjust gain from your neighbors by extortion. And you have forgotten me, declares the Sovereign LORD.
  3. " 'I will surely strike my hands together at the unjust gain you have made and at the blood you have shed in your midst.
  4. Will your courage endure or your hands be strong in the day I deal with you? I the LORD have spoken, and I will do it.
  5. I will disperse you among the nations and scatter you through the countries; and I will put an end to your uncleanness.
  1. 너는 이방 사람들이 보는 앞에서 스스로 수치를 당할 것이다. 그 때에야 비로소 너는, 내가 주인 줄 알게 될 것이다.'"
  2. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  3. "사람아, 이스라엘 족속이 내게는 쓸모도 없는 쇠찌꺼기이다. 그들은 모두가 은을 정련하고, 용광로 속에 남아 있는 구리와 주석과 쇠와 납의 찌꺼기이다.
  4. 그러므로 나 주 하나님이 말한다. 너희가 모두 쇠찌꺼기가 되어 버렸기 때문에, 바로 그렇기 때문에, 내가 너희를 예루살렘의 한가운데 모으고,
  5. 사람이 은과 구리와 쇠와 납과 주석을 모두 용광로에 집어 넣고 거기에 풀무질을 하듯이, 나도 내 분노와 노여움으로 너희를 모두 모아다가, 용광로에 집어 넣고 녹여 버리겠다.
  1. When you have been defiled in the eyes of the nations, you will know that I am the LORD.' "
  2. Then the word of the LORD came to me:
  3. "Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to me; all of them are the copper, tin, iron and lead left inside a furnace. They are but the dross of silver.
  4. Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'Because you have all become dross, I will gather you into Jerusalem.
  5. As men gather silver, copper, iron, lead and tin into a furnace to melt it with a fiery blast, so will I gather you in my anger and my wrath and put you inside the city and melt you.
  1. 내가 너희를 모아 놓고, 내 격노의 불을 너희에게 뿜어 대면, 너희가 그 속에서 녹을 것이다.
  2. 은이 용광로 속에서 녹듯이, 너희도 그 속에서 녹을 것이다. 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 나 주가 너희에게 분노를 쏟아 부은 줄 알 것이다."
  1. I will gather you and I will blow on you with my fiery wrath, and you will be melted inside her.
  2. As silver is melted in a furnace, so you will be melted inside her, and you will know that I the LORD have poured out my wrath upon you.' "
