호세아 5:1-8:14

 호세아는 이스라엘 죄악의 근본 원인이 하나님을 아는 지식이 없기 때문이라는 야웨의 말씀을 전하면서 우상 숭배와 행음, 형식적인 제사와 번제, 제사장들의 타락 등 이스라엘의 죄악을 낱낱이 지적하였다. 그는 이로 인해 하나님의 징계와 심판이 있을 것이지만 그 후에는 치료하시는 하나님의 구원의 은총이 있을 것임을 예언하였다.
  
  이스라엘의 죄악상(5:1-8:14)    
 
  1. "너희 제사장들아, 이 말을 들어라! 너희 이스라엘 백성아, 똑똑히 들어라! 너희 왕족들아, 귀를 기울여라! 너희가 심판을 받아야 할 것이다. 너희는 미스바에 놓은 덫이고, 다볼 산 위에 펼쳐 놓은 그물이다.
  2. 반역자들이 살상에 깊이 빠져들었다. 그러므로 내가 너희를 모두 징벌하겠다.
  3. 나는 에브라임을 잘 안다. 내 앞에서는 이스라엘이 숨지 못한다. 에브라임이 몸을 팔고 있고, 이스라엘이 몸을 더럽히고 있다."
  4. 그들의 온갖 행실이 그러하니, 하나님께로 되돌아가지 못한다. 음란한 생각이 그들 속에 가득 차서, 주님을 알지 못한다.
  5. 이스라엘의 교만이 이스라엘에게 불리하게 증언한다. 이스라엘 곧 에브라임은 저의 죄에 걸려서 넘어질 것이다. 유다도 그들과 함께 넘어질 것이다.
  1. "Hear this, you priests! Pay attention, you Israelites! Listen, O royal house! This judgment is against you: You have been a snare at Mizpah, a net spread out on Tabor.
  2. The rebels are deep in slaughter. I will discipline all of them.
  3. I know all about Ephraim; Israel is not hidden from me. Ephraim, you have now turned to prostitution; Israel is corrupt.
  4. "Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God. A spirit of prostitution is in their heart; they do not acknowledge the LORD.
  5. Israel's arrogance testifies against them; the Israelites, even Ephraim, stumble in their sin; Judah also stumbles with them.
  1. 양 떼와 소 떼를 몰고 주님을 찾아 나선다고 하여도, 주님께서 이미 그들에게서 떠나셨으니, 그들이 주님을 만나지 못할 것이다.
  2. 그들이 주님께 정조를 지키지 않고 사생아를 낳았으니, 그들이 지키는 새달 절기가 밭과 함께 그들을 삼킬 것이다.
  3. "기브아에서 전쟁을 알리는 나팔을 불어라! 라마에서도 비상 나팔을 불어라! 벳아웬에서도 전쟁이 터졌다고 경보를 알려라! 베냐민아, 적군이 네 뒤를 쫓는다.
  4. 에브라임이 벌을 받는 날에는, 온 나라가 황무지가 될 것이다. 이스라엘의 모든 지파에게 이미 확정된 일을 내가 선포한다.
  5. 유다의 통치자들은 경계선을 범하는 자들이니, 내가 그들 위에 나의 분노를 물처럼 쏟아 부을 것이다.
  1. When they go with their flocks and herds to seek the LORD, they will not find him; he has withdrawn himself from them.
  2. They are unfaithful to the LORD; they give birth to illegitimate children. Now their New Moon festivals will devour them and their fields.
  3. "Sound the trumpet in Gibeah, the horn in Ramah. Raise the battle cry in Beth Aven ; lead on, O Benjamin.
  4. Ephraim will be laid waste on the day of reckoning. Among the tribes of Israel I proclaim what is certain.
  5. Judah's leaders are like those who move boundary stones. I will pour out my wrath on them like a flood of water.
  1. 에브라임이 도움을 구하러 허무한 것을 뒤쫓아갔으니, 에브라임이 심판을 받아, 억압을 당하고 짓밟혔다.
  2. 그러므로 나는 에브라임에게는 좀으로 유다 가문에게는 썩이는 것으로 칠 것이다.
  3. 에브라임이 자기의 중병을 깨닫고 앗시리아로 가고, 유다는 제 몸에 난 상처를 보고 그 나라의 대왕에게 특사를 보냈다. 그러나 그 대왕이 너희의 중병을 고치지 못하고, 그가 너희의 상처를 치료하지 못한다.
  4. 내가 사자처럼 에브라임에게 달려들고, 젊은 사자처럼 유다 가문에 달려들어 그들을 물어다가 갈기갈기 찢을 것이니, 아무도 내 입에서 그들을 빼내어 건져 주지 못할 것이다.
  5. 나는 이제 내 곳으로 돌아간다. 그들이 지은 죄를 다 뉘우치고, 나를 찾을 때까지 기다리겠다. 환난을 당할 때에는, 그들이 애타게 나를 찾아 나설 것이다."
  1. Ephraim is oppressed, trampled in judgment, intent on pursuing idols.
  2. I am like a moth to Ephraim, like rot to the people of Judah.
  3. "When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his sores, then Ephraim turned to Assyria, and sent to the great king for help. But he is not able to cure you, not able to heal your sores.
  4. For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, like a great lion to Judah. I will tear them to pieces and go away; I will carry them off, with no one to rescue them.
  5. Then I will go back to my place until they admit their guilt. And they will seek my face; in their misery they will earnestly seek me."
 
 
  1. 이제 주님께로 돌아가자. 주님께서 우리를 찢으셨으나 다시 싸매어 주시고, 우리에게 상처를 내셨으나 다시 아물게 하신다.
  2. 이틀 뒤에 우리를 다시 살려 주시고, 사흘 만에 우리를 다시 일으켜 세우실 것이니, 우리가 주님 앞에서 살 것이다.
  3. 우리가 주님을 알자. 애써 주님을 알자. 새벽마다 여명이 오듯이 주님께서도 그처럼 어김없이 오시고, 해마다 쏟아지는 가을비처럼 오시고, 땅을 적시는 봄비처럼 오신다.
  4. "에브라임아, 내가 너를 어떻게 하면 좋겠느냐? 유다야, 내가 너를 어떻게 하면 좋겠느냐? 나를 사랑하는 너희의 마음은 아침 안개와 같고, 덧없이 사라지는 이슬과 같구나.
  5. 그래서 내가 예언자들을 보내어 너희를 산산조각 나게 하였으며, 나의 입에서 나오는 모든 말로 너희를 죽였고, 나의 심판이 너희 위에서 번개처럼 빛났다.
  1. "Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds.
  2. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence.
  3. Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth."
  4. "What can I do with you, Ephraim? What can I do with you, Judah? Your love is like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears.
  5. Therefore I cut you in pieces with my prophets, I killed you with the words of my mouth; my judgments flashed like lightning upon you.
  1. 내가 바라는 것은 변함없는 사랑이지, 제사가 아니다. 불살라 바치는 제사보다는 너희가 나 하나님을 알기를 더 바란다.
  2. 그런데 이 백성은 아담처럼 언약을 어기고 나를 배반하였다.
  3. 길르앗은 폭력배들의 성읍이다. 발자국마다 핏자국이 뚜렷하다.
  4. 강도 떼가 숨어서 사람을 기다리듯, 제사장 무리가 세겜으로 가는 길목에 숨었다가 사람들을 살해하니, 차마 못할 죄를 지었다.
  5. 내가 이스라엘 집에서 소름 끼치는 일들을 보았다. 거기에서 에브라임이 몸을 팔고, 이스라엘이 몸을 더럽힌다.
  1. For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.
  2. Like Adam, they have broken the covenant-- they were unfaithful to me there.
  3. Gilead is a city of wicked men, stained with footprints of blood.
  4. As marauders lie in ambush for a man, so do bands of priests; they murder on the road to Shechem, committing shameful crimes.
  5. I have seen a horrible thing in the house of Israel. There Ephraim is given to prostitution and Israel is defiled.
  1. 유다야, 너를 심판할 시기도 정하여 놓았다. 내가 내 백성의 운명을 바꾸어 주고자 할 때마다,
  1. "Also for you, Judah, a harvest is appointed. "Whenever I would restore the fortunes of my people,
 
 
  1. 내가 이스라엘을 치료하여 주고자 할 때마다, 에브라임이 지은 범죄가 드러나고 사마리아가 저지른 죄악이 드러난다. 서로 속이고, 안으로 들어가서 도둑질하고, 밖으로 나가서 떼지어 약탈한다.
  2. 내가 그들의 죄악을 모두 기억하고 있다는 것은, 그들이 전혀 마음에 두지도 않는다. 이제는 그들이 저지른 모든 잘못이 그들을 에워싸고 바로 내 눈 앞에 있으니, 내가 안 볼 수 없다."
  3. "왕을 갈아치울 자들이 악한 음모를 품고서도 겉으로는 왕을 기쁘게 하며, 온갖 기만으로 대신들을 속여 즐겁게 한다.
  4. 그들은 성욕이 달아오른 자들이다. 그들은 화덕처럼 달아 있다. 빵 굽는 이가 가루를 반죽해 놓고서, 반죽이 발효될 때를 제외하고는 늘 달구어 놓은 화덕과 같다.
  5. 드디어 우리 왕의 잔칫날이 되면, 대신들은 술에 만취되어 곯아 떨어지고 왕은 거만한 무리들과 손을 잡는다.
  1. whenever I would heal Israel, the sins of Ephraim are exposed and the crimes of Samaria revealed. They practice deceit, thieves break into houses, bandits rob in the streets;
  2. but they do not realize that I remember all their evil deeds. Their sins engulf them; they are always before me.
  3. "They delight the king with their wickedness, the princes with their lies.
  4. They are all adulterers, burning like an oven whose fire the baker need not stir from the kneading of the dough till it rises.
  5. On the day of the festival of our king the princes become inflamed with wine, and he joins hands with the mockers.
  1. 새 왕을 세우려는 자들의 마음은 빵 굽는 화덕처럼 달아 오르고, 그들은 음모를 품고 왕에게 접근한다. 밤새 그들의 열정을 부풀리고 있다가 아침에 맹렬하게 불꽃을 피워 올린다.
  2. 그들은 모두 빵 굽는 화덕처럼 뜨거워져서, 그들의 통치자들을 죽인다. 이렇게 왕들이 하나하나 죽어 가는데도 어느 누구도 나 주에게 호소하지 않는다."
  3. "에브라임은 다른 민족들 속에 섞여서 튀기가 되었다. 에브라임은 뒤집지 않고 구워서 한쪽만 익은 빵처럼 되었다.
  4. 온갖 외세가 국력을 삼키는데도 에브라임은 그것을 깨닫지 못하고, 죽을 날이 얼마 남지 않은 것도 깨닫지 못한다.
  5. 이스라엘의 교만이 이스라엘에게 불리하게 증언한다. 이 모든 일을 겪고도, 주 하나님에게로 돌아오지 않는다. 나를 찾지도 않는다.
  1. Their hearts are like an oven; they approach him with intrigue. Their passion smolders all night; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.
  2. All of them are hot as an oven; they devour their rulers. All their kings fall, and none of them calls on me.
  3. "Ephraim mixes with the nations; Ephraim is a flat cake not turned over.
  4. Foreigners sap his strength, but he does not realize it. His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice.
  5. Israel's arrogance testifies against him, but despite all this he does not return to the LORD his God or search for him.
  1. 에브라임은 어리석고, 줏대 없는 비둘기이다. 이집트를 보고 도와 달라고 호소하더니, 어느새 앗시리아에게 달려간다.
  2. 내가 그들이 가는 곳에 그물을 던져서, 하늘에 나는 새를 잡듯 그들을 모조리 낚아챌 것이다. 그들이 저지른 죄악 그대로 내가 그들을 징계하겠다.
  3. 나를 떠나서 그릇된 길로 간 자들은 반드시 망한다! 나를 거역한 자들은 패망할 것이다. 건져 주고 싶어도, 나에게 하는 말마다 거짓말투성이다.
  4. 그들이 나에게 부르짖으나, 거기에 진실이 없다. 오히려 침상에 엎드려 통곡한다. 곡식과 포도주를 달라고 빌 때에도 몸을 찢어 상처를 내면서 빌고 있으니, 이것은 나를 거역하는 짓이다.
  5. 그들의 두 팔을 힘있게 기른 것은 나였지만, 그들은 나를 해치려고 음모를 꾸몄다.
  1. "Ephraim is like a dove, easily deceived and senseless-- now calling to Egypt, now turning to Assyria.
  2. When they go, I will throw my net over them; I will pull them down like birds of the air. When I hear them flocking together, I will catch them.
  3. Woe to them, because they have strayed from me! Destruction to them, because they have rebelled against me! I long to redeem them but they speak lies against me.
  4. They do not cry out to me from their hearts but wail upon their beds. They gather together for grain and new wine but turn away from me.
  5. I trained them and strengthened them, but they plot evil against me.
  1. 허망한 것에 정신이 팔린 자들, 느슨하게 풀어진 활처럼 쓸모 없는 자들, 대신들은 함부로 혀를 놀렸으니, 모두 칼에 찔려 죽을 것이다. 이것이 이집트 땅에서 조롱거리가 될 것이다."
  1. They do not turn to the Most High; they are like a faulty bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword because of their insolent words. For this they will be ridiculed in the land of Egypt.
 
 
  1. "나팔을 불어서 비상 경보를 알려라! 이스라엘 백성이 나의 언약을 깨뜨리고, 내가 가르쳐 준 율법을 어겼으므로, 적군이 독수리처럼 나 주의 집을 덮칠 것이다.
  2. '우리의 하나님, 우리 이스라엘이 주님을 압니다' 하고 나에게 호소하면서도,
  3. 복된 생활을 뿌리치니 적군에게 쫓길 것이다.
  4. 이스라엘이 왕들을 세웠으나, 나와는 관계가 없는 일이다. 통치자들을 세웠으나, 그 또한 내가 모르는 일이다. 은과 금을 녹여서 신상들을 만들어 세웠으나, 마침내 망하고야 말 것이다.
  5. 사마리아 사람들아, 나는 너희의 송아지 우상을 인정하지 않는다. 그것들 때문에 나의 분노가 활활 타오른다. 너희가 언제 깨끗해지겠느냐?
  1. "Put the trumpet to your lips! An eagle is over the house of the LORD because the people have broken my covenant and rebelled against my law.
  2. Israel cries out to me, 'O our God, we acknowledge you!'
  3. But Israel has rejected what is good; an enemy will pursue him.
  4. They set up kings without my consent; they choose princes without my approval. With their silver and gold they make idols for themselves to their own destruction.
  5. Throw out your calf-idol, O Samaria! My anger burns against them. How long will they be incapable of purity?
  1. 이스라엘에서 우상이 나오다니! 송아지 신상은 대장장이가 만든 것일 뿐, 그것은 신이 아니다. 사마리아의 신상 송아지는 산산조각이 날 것이다.
  2. 이스라엘이 바람을 심었으니, 광풍을 거둘 것이다. 곡식 줄기가 자라지 못하니, 알곡이 생길 리 없다. 여문다고 하여도, 남의 나라 사람들이 거두어 먹을 것이다.
  3. 이스라엘은 이미 먹히고 말았다. 이제 그들은 세계 만민 속에서 깨어진 그릇처럼 쓸모 없이 되었다.
  4. 외로이 떠돌아다니는 들나귀처럼, 앗시리아로 올라가서 도와 달라고 빌었다. 에브라임은 연인들에게 제 몸을 팔았다.
  5. 이스라엘이 세계 열방 사이에서 몸을 팔아서 도움을 구하였지만, 이제 내가 이스라엘을 한 곳에 모아서 심판하겠다. 외국 왕들과 통치자들의 억압에 짓눌려서 이스라엘이 야윌 것이다.
  1. They are from Israel! This calf--a craftsman has made it; it is not God. It will be broken in pieces, that calf of Samaria.
  2. "They sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no head; it will produce no flour. Were it to yield grain, foreigners would swallow it up.
  3. Israel is swallowed up; now she is among the nations like a worthless thing.
  4. For they have gone up to Assyria like a wild donkey wandering alone. Ephraim has sold herself to lovers.
  5. Although they have sold themselves among the nations, I will now gather them together. They will begin to waste away under the oppression of the mighty king.
  1. 에브라임이 죄를 용서받으려고 제단을 만들면 만들수록, 늘어난 제단에서 더욱더 죄가 늘어난다.
  2. 수만 가지 율법을 써 주었으나, 자기들과는 아무런 관계도 없는 것처럼 여겼다.
  3. 희생제물을 좋아하여 짐승을 잡아서 제물로 바치지만, 그들이 참으로 좋아하는 것은 먹는 고기일 따름이다. 그러니 나 주가 어찌 그들과 더불어 기뻐하겠느냐? 이제 그들의 죄악을 기억하고, 그들의 허물을 벌하여서, 그들을 이집트로 다시 돌려보내겠다.
  4. 이스라엘이 궁궐들을 지었지만, 자기들을 지은 창조주를 잊었다. 유다 백성이 견고한 성읍들을 많이 세웠으나, 내가 불을 지르겠다. 궁궐들과 성읍들이 모두 불에 탈 것이다."
  1. "Though Ephraim built many altars for sin offerings, these have become altars for sinning.
  2. I wrote for them the many things of my law, but they regarded them as something alien.
  3. They offer sacrifices given to me and they eat the meat, but the LORD is not pleased with them. Now he will remember their wickedness and punish their sins: They will return to Egypt.
  4. Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; Judah has fortified many towns. But I will send fire upon their cities that will consume their fortresses."
