- 의인은 일곱 번을 넘어지더라도 다시 일어나지만, 악인은 재앙을 만나면 망한다.
- 원수가 넘어질 때에 즐거워하지 말고, 그가 걸려서 쓰러질 때에 마음에 기뻐하지 말아라.
- 주님께서 이것을 보시고 좋지 않게 여기셔서, 그 노여움을 너의 원수로부터 너에게로 돌이키실까 두렵다.
- 행악자 때문에 분개하지도 말고, 악인을 시기하지도 말아라.
- 행악자에게는 장래가 없고, 악인의 등불은 꺼지고 만다.

- for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.
