스가랴 4:1-7:14

 스가랴는 여덟 가지 환상 중 다섯번째로 두 감람나무 사이의 순금 등대 환상, 여섯번째로 날아가는 두루마리 환상, 일곱번째로 에바 안의 여인 환상, 그리고 마지막으로 네 병거 환상을 보았다. 이어 대제사장 여호수아의 대관식을 거행하라는 하나님의 명령이 임했는데, 이는 여덟 가지 환상 중에 예표된 ‘순’과 마찬가지로 메시아를 상징하는 것이었다. 금식 제도가 계속 시행되어야 하는지의 여부를 묻는 벧엘 사람들의 질문에 대해 스가랴는 하나님의 답변을 전하였다.
  
  환상들과 금식(4:1-7:14)    
 
  1. 내게 말하는 천사가 다시 와서 나를 깨우는데, 나는 마치 잠에서 깨어난 사람 같았다.
  2. 그가 나에게 무엇을 보느냐고 묻기에, 내가 대답하였다. "순금으로 만든 등잔대를 봅니다. 등잔대 꼭대기에는 기름을 담는 그릇이 있고, 그 그릇 가장자리에는 일곱 대롱에 연결된 등잔 일곱 개가 놓여 있습니다.
  3. 등잔대 곁에는 올리브 나무 두 그루가 서 있는데, 하나는 등잔대 오른쪽에 있고 다른 하나는 등잔대 왼쪽에 있습니다."
  4. 나는 다시 내게 말하는 천사에게 물었다. "천사님, 이것들이 무엇입니까?"
  5. 내게 말하는 천사가 나에게, 그것들이 무엇을 가리키는지 모르겠느냐고 묻기에, 천사에게 모르겠다고 대답하였다.
  1. Then the angel who talked with me returned and wakened me, as a man is wakened from his sleep.
  2. He asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a solid gold lampstand with a bowl at the top and seven lights on it, with seven channels to the lights.
  3. Also there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left."
  4. I asked the angel who talked with me, "What are these, my lord?"
  5. He answered, "Do you not know what these are?" "No, my lord," I replied.
  1. 그가 내게 이렇게 말해 주었다. "이것은 주님께서 스룹바벨을 두고 하신 말씀이다. '힘으로도 되지 않고, 권력으로도 되지 않으며, 오직 나의 영으로만 될 것이다.' 만군의 주님께서 말씀하신다.
  2. 큰 산아, 네가 무엇이냐? 스룹바벨 앞에서는 평지일 뿐이다. 그가 머릿돌을 떠서 내올 때에, 사람들은 그 돌을 보고서 '아름답다, 아름답다!' 하고 외칠 것이다."
  3. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  4. "스룹바벨이 이 성전의 기초를 놓았으니, 그가 이 일을 마칠 것이다." 그 때에야 비로소 너희는 만군의 주님께서 나를 너희에게 보내셨다는 것을 알게 될 것이다.
  5. "시작이 미약하다고 비웃는 자가 누구냐? 스룹바벨이 돌로 된 측량추를 손에 잡으면, 사람들은 그것을 보고 기뻐할 것이다. 이 일곱 눈은 온 세상을 살피는 나 주의 눈이다."
  1. So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.
  2. "What are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of 'God bless it! God bless it!' "
  3. Then the word of the LORD came to me:
  4. "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you.
  5. "Who despises the day of small things? Men will rejoice when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. "(These seven are the eyes of the LORD, which range throughout the earth.)"
  1. 나는 그 천사에게 물었다. "등잔대의 오른쪽과 왼쪽에 있는 올리브 나무 두 그루는 무엇을 뜻합니까?"

  1. Then I asked the angel, "What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?"
  2. Again I asked him, "What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?"
  3. He replied, "Do you not know what these are?" "No, my lord," I said.
  4. So he said, "These are the two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth."
 
 
  1. 내가 또 고개를 들고 보니, 내 앞에서 두루마리가 날아가고 있었다.
  2. 그 천사는 내가 무엇을 보고 있느냐고 물었다. 내가 대답하였다. "두루마리가 날아가는 것을 보고 있습니다. 길이는 스무 자이고, 너비는 열 자입니다."
  3. 그는 나에게 이렇게 말하였다. "이것은 온 땅 위에 내릴 저주다. 두루마리의 한 쪽에는 '도둑질하는 자가 모두 땅 위에서 말끔히 없어진다'고 씌어 있고, 두루마리의 다른 쪽에는 '거짓으로 맹세하는 자가 모두 땅 위에서 말끔히 없어진다'고 씌어 있다."
  4. 만군의 주의 말이다. "내가 저주를 내보낸다. 모든 도둑의 집과 내 이름을 두고 거짓으로 맹세하는 모든 자의 집에 저주가 들어가서, 그 집에 머무르면서, 나무 대들보와 돌로 쌓은 벽까지, 그 집을 다 허물어 버릴 것이다."
  5. 내게 말하는 천사가 앞으로 나와서, 나에게 고개를 들고서, 가까이 오는 물체를 주의해 보라고 말하였다.
  1. I looked again--and there before me was a flying scroll!
  2. He asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a flying scroll, thirty feet long and fifteen feet wide. "
  3. And he said to me, "This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished.
  4. The LORD Almighty declares, 'I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of him who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in his house and destroy it, both its timbers and its stones.' "
  5. Then the angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to me, "Look up and see what this is that is appearing."
  1. 그것이 무엇이냐고 내가 물으니, 그는, 가까이 오는 그것이 곡식을 넣는 뒤주라고 일러주면서, 그것은 온 땅에 가득한 죄악을 나타내는 것이라고 하였다.
  2. 그 뒤주에는 납으로 된 뚜껑이 덮여 있었다. 내가 보니, 뚜껑이 들리고, 그 안에 여인이 앉아 있는 것이 보였다.

  5. 내가 내게 말하는 천사에게, 저 여인들이 그 뒤주를 어디로 가져 가는 것이냐고 물었다.
  1. I asked, "What is it?" He replied, "It is a measuring basket. " And he added, "This is the iniquity of the people throughout the land."
  2. Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman!
  3. He said, "This is wickedness," and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed the lead cover down over its mouth.
  4. Then I looked up--and there before me were two women, with the wind in their wings! They had wings like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth.
  5. "Where are they taking the basket?" I asked the angel who was speaking to me.
  1. 그가 나에게 대답하였다. "바빌로니아 땅으로 간다. 거기에다가 그 뒤주를 둘 신전을 지을 것이다. 신전이 완성되면, 그 뒤주는 제자리에 놓일 것이다."
  1. He replied, "To the country of Babylonia to build a house for it. When it is ready, the basket will be set there in its place."
 
 
  1. 내가 또 고개를 들고 바라보니, 내 앞에 두 산 사이에서 병거 네 대가 나왔다. 두 산은 놋쇠로 된 산이다.
  2. 첫째 병거는 붉은 말들이 끌고 있고, 둘째 병거는 검은 말들이,
  3. 셋째 병거는 흰 말들이, 넷째 병거는 얼룩말들이 끌고 있었다. 말들은 모두 건장하였다.
  4. 내가 내게 말하는 천사에게, 그것이 무엇들이냐고 물었다.
  5. 그 천사가 나에게 대답하였다. "그것들은 하늘의 네 영이다. 온 세상을 다스리시는 주님을 뵙고서, 지금 떠나는 길이다.
  1. I looked up again--and there before me were four chariots coming out from between two mountains--mountains of bronze!
  2. The first chariot had red horses, the second black,
  3. the third white, and the fourth dappled--all of them powerful.
  4. I asked the angel who was speaking to me, "What are these, my lord?"
  5. The angel answered me, "These are the four spirits of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.
  1. 검은 말들이 끄는 병거는 북쪽 땅으로 떠나고, 흰 말들이 끄는 병거는 서쪽으로 떠나고, 얼룩말들이 끄는 병거는 남쪽 땅으로 떠난다."
  2. 그 건장한 말들이 나가서 땅을 두루 돌아다니고자 하니, 그 천사가 말하였다. "떠나거라. 땅을 두루 돌아다녀라." 병거들은 땅을 두루 돌아다녔다.
  3. 천사가 나를 보고, 소리를 치면서 말하였다. "북쪽 땅으로 나간 말들이 북쪽 땅에서 내 마음을 시원하게 하였다."
  4. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  5. "너는 사로잡혀 간 사람들, 곧 헬대와 도비야와 여다야에게서 예물을 받아라. 그들이 바빌론에서 와서, 지금 스바냐의 아들 요시야의 집에 와 있으니, 너는 오늘 그리로 가거라.
  1. The one with the black horses is going toward the north country, the one with the white horses toward the west, and the one with the dappled horses toward the south."
  2. When the powerful horses went out, they were straining to go throughout the earth. And he said, "Go throughout the earth!" So they went throughout the earth.
  3. Then he called to me, "Look, those going toward the north country have given my Spirit rest in the land of the north."
  4. The word of the LORD came to me:
  5. "Take silver and gold from the exiles Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah, who have arrived from Babylon. Go the same day to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah.
  1. 너는 은과 금을 받아서, 그것으로 왕관을 만들고, 그것을 여호사닥의 아들 여호수아 대제사장의 머리에 씌워라.
  2. 너는 그에게 이렇게 말하여라. '나 만군의 주가 이렇게 말한다. 이 사람을 보아라. 그의 이름은 '새싹'이다. 그가 제자리에서 새싹처럼 돋아나서, 주의 성전을 지을 것이다.
  3. 그가 주의 성전을 지을 것이며, 위엄을 갖추고, 왕좌에 앉아서 다스릴 것이다. 한 제사장이 그 왕좌 곁에 설 것이며, 이 두 사람이 평화롭게 조화를 이루며, 함께 일할 것이다.'
  4. 그 왕관은, 헬대와, 도비야와, 여다야와, 스바냐의 아들 헨 곧 요시야를 기념하려고, 주님의 성전에 둘 것이다."
  5. 먼 곳에 사는 사람들이 와서, 주님의 성전 짓는 일을 도울 것이다. 그 때에야 너희가, 만군의 주님께서 나를 너희에게 보내셨다는 것을 알게 될 것이다. 너희가 주 너희 하나님께 진심으로 순종하면, 이 일이 이루어질 것이다.
  1. Take the silver and gold and make a crown, and set it on the head of the high priest, Joshua son of Jehozadak.
  2. Tell him this is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the LORD.
  3. It is he who will build the temple of the LORD, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he will be a priest on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.'
  4. The crown will be given to Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah and Hen son of Zephaniah as a memorial in the temple of the LORD.
  5. Those who are far away will come and help to build the temple of the LORD, and you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you. This will happen if you diligently obey the LORD your God."
 
 
  1. 다리우스 왕 사년 아홉째 달, 곧 기슬래월 나흗날에, 주님께서 스가랴에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. 베델 사람이 사레셀과 레겜멜렉에게 하인들을 딸려 보내어, 주님께 은혜를 간구하면서,
  3. 만군의 주님의 성전에 속한 제사장들과 예언자들에게 물어 왔다. "우리가 지난 여러 해 동안에 해 온 그대로, 다섯째 달에 애곡하면서 금식해야 합니까?"
  4. 이 때에 만군의 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  5. "너는 이 땅의 온 백성과 제사장에게 이렇게 말하여라. '너희가 지난 칠십 년 동안, 다섯째 달과 일곱째 달에 금식하며 애곡하기는 하였으나, 너희가 진정, 나를 생각하여서 금식한 적이 있느냐?
  1. In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Kislev.
  2. The people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-Melech, together with their men, to entreat the LORD
  3. by asking the priests of the house of the LORD Almighty and the prophets, "Should I mourn and fast in the fifth month, as I have done for so many years?"
  4. Then the word of the LORD Almighty came to me:
  5. "Ask all the people of the land and the priests, 'When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months for the past seventy years, was it really for me that you fasted?
  1. 너희가 먹고 마실 때에도 너희 스스로 만족하려고 먹고 마신 것이 아니냐?'"
  2. 그 때에 예루살렘과 그 주위의 여러 성읍에는, 거주하는 사람의 수가 불어나고, 사람들이 마음을 놓고 살았다. 남쪽 네겝과 스불라 평원에도 사람의 수가 불어났다. 바로 이 무렵에 주님께서 이전 예언자들을 시키셔서 이 말씀을 선포하셨다.
  3. 주님께서 스가랴에게 말씀하셨다.
  4. "나 만군의 주가 이렇게 말한다. 너희는 공정한 재판을 하여라. 서로 관용과 자비를 베풀어라.
  5. 과부와 고아와 나그네와 가난한 사람을 억누르지 말고, 동족끼리 해칠 생각을 하지 말아라."
  1. And when you were eating and drinking, were you not just feasting for yourselves?
  2. Are these not the words the LORD proclaimed through the earlier prophets when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were at rest and prosperous, and the Negev and the western foothills were settled?' "
  3. And the word of the LORD came again to Zechariah:
  4. "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.
  5. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. In your hearts do not think evil of each other.'
  1. 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하셨으나, 사람들은 듣지 않고, 등을 돌려 거역하였다. 귀를 막고 들으려고도 하지 않았다.
  2. 사람들은 마음이 차돌처럼 굳어져서, 만군의 주님께서, 이전 예언자들에게 당신의 영을 부어 전하게 하신 율법과 말씀을 듣지 않았다. 그래서 만군의 주님께서 크게 노하셨다.
  3. 주님께서 부르셨으나, 그들은 듣지 않았다. "그렇다. 이제는 그들이 부르짖어도, 내가 결코 듣지 않겠다. 나 만군의 주가 말한다.
  4. 나는 그들이 알지도 못하는 모든 나라로, 그들을 폭풍으로 날리듯 흩었고, 그들이 떠난 땅은 아무도 오가는 사람이 없어서, 폐허가 되고 말았다. 그들이 아름다운 이 땅을 거친 땅으로 만들었다."
  1. "But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and stopped up their ears.
  2. They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the LORD Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the LORD Almighty was very angry.
  3. " 'When I called, they did not listen; so when they called, I would not listen,' says the LORD Almighty.
  4. 'I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land was left so desolate behind them that no one could come or go. This is how they made the pleasant land desolate.' "
