- 주님, 어찌하여 주님께서는 그리도 멀리 계십니까? 어찌하여 우리가 고난을 받을 때에 숨어 계십니까?
- 악인이 으스대며 약한 자를 괴롭힙니다. 악인은 스스로 쳐 놓은 올가미에 스스로 걸려 들게 해주십시오.
- 악한 자는 자기 야심을 자랑하고, 탐욕을 부리는 자는 주님을 모독하고 멸시합니다.
- 악인은 그 얼굴도 뻔뻔스럽게 "벌주는 이가 어디에 있느냐? 하나님이 어디에 있느냐?"고 말합니다. 그들의 생각이란 늘 이러합니다.
- 그런데도 악인이 하는 일은 언제나 잘 되고, 주님의 심판은 너무 멀어서 그들에게 보이지 않으니, 악인은 오히려 그의 대적을 보고 코웃음만 칩니다.

- Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?
- The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
- For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.
- The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
- His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.

- 그는 마음 속으로, "내가 망하는가, 두고 봐라. 나에게는 언제라도 불행과 저주란 없다" 하고 말합니다.
- 그들의 입은 기만과 폭언으로 가득 차 있고, 그들의 혀 밑에는 욕설과 악담이 가득합니다.
- 그들은 으슥한 길목에 숨어 있다가 은밀한 곳에서 순진한 사람을 쳐죽입니다. 그들의 두 눈은 언제나 가련한 사람을 노립니다.
- 굴 속에 웅크리고 있는 사자처럼, 은밀한 곳에서 기다리다가, 때만 만나면, 연약한 사람을 그물로 덮쳐서 끌고갑니다.
- 불쌍한 사람이 억눌림을 당하고, 가련한 사람이 폭력에 쓰러집니다.

- He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.
- His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
- He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.
- He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.
- He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.
