- 내 영혼이 너무 낙심하였지만, 요단 땅과 헤르몬과 미살 산에서, 주님만을 그래도 생각할 뿐입니다.
- 주님께서 일으키시는 저 큰 폭포 소리를 따라 깊음은 깊음을 부르며, 주님께서 일으키시는 저 파도의 물결은 모두가 한 덩이 되어 이 몸을 휩쓸고 지나갑니다.
- 낮에는 주님께서 사랑을 베푸시고, 밤에는 찬송으로 나를 채우시니, 나는 다만 살아 계시는 내 하나님께 기도합니다.
- 나의 반석이신 하나님께 호소한다. "어찌하여 하나님께서는 나를 잊으셨습니까? 어찌하여 이 몸이 원수에게 짓눌려 슬픈 나날을 보내야만 합니까?"
- 원수들이 날마다 나를 보고 "네 하나님이 어디에 있느냐?" 하고 빈정대니, 그 조롱 소리가 나의 뼈를 부수는구나.
