- 하나님께서 악인들에게 말씀하신다. "너희는 어찌하여 감히 내 법도를 전파하며, 내 언약의 말을 감히 너의 입에서 읊조리느냐?
- 너희는 내 교훈을 역겨워하고, 나의 말을 귓전으로 흘리고 말았다.
- 도둑을 만나면 곧 그와 친구가 되고, 간음하는 자를 만나면 곧 그와 한 패거리가 되었다.
- 입으로 악을 꾸며내고, 혀로는 거짓을 지어내었다.
- 동기간의 허물을 들추어내어 말하고 한 어머니에게서 태어난 동기들을 비방하였다.

- But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
- Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee.
- When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
- Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
- Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.

- 이 모든 일을 너희가 저질렀어도 내가 잠잠했더니, 너희는 틀림없이, '내가' 너희와 같은 줄로 잘못 생각하는구나. 이제 나는 너희를 호되게 꾸짖고, 너희의 눈 앞에 너희의 죄상을 낱낱이 밝혀 보이겠다.
- 하나님을 잊은 자들아, 이 모든 것을 깨달아라. 그렇지 않으면, 내가 너희를 찢을 때에 구하여 줄 자가 없을까 두렵구나.
- 감사하는 마음으로 제물을 바치는 사람이 나에게 영광을 돌리는 사람이니, 올바른 길을 걷는 사람에게, 내가 나의 구원을 보여 주겠다."

- These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
- Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
- Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
