- "나도 그들처럼 살아야지" 하고 말했다면, 나는 주님의 자녀들을 배신하는 일을 하였을 것입니다.
- 내가 이 얽힌 문제를 풀어 보려고 깊이 생각해 보았으나, 그것은 내가 풀기에는 너무나 어려운 문제였습니다.
- 그러나 마침내 하나님의 성소에 들어가서야, 악한 자들의 종말이 어떻게 되리라는 것을 깨닫게 되었습니다.
- 주님께서 그들을 미끄러운 곳에 세우시며, 거기에서 넘어져서 멸망에 이르게 하십니다.
- 그들이 갑자기 놀라운 일을 당하고, 공포에 떨면서 자취를 감추며, 마침내 끝장을 맞이합니다.

- If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
- When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
- Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
- Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
- How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.

- 아침이 되어서 일어나면 악몽이 다 사라져 없어지듯이, 주님, 주님께서 깨어나실 때에, 그들은 한낱 꿈처럼, 자취도 없이 사라집니다.
- 나의 가슴이 쓰리고 심장이 찔린 듯이 아파도,
- 나는 우둔하여 아무것도 몰랐습니다. 나는 다만, 주님 앞에 있는 한 마리 짐승이었습니다.
- 그러나 나는 늘 주님과 함께 있으므로, 주님께서 내 오른손을 붙잡아 주십니다.
- 주님의 교훈으로 나를 인도해 주시고, 마침내 나를 주님의 영광에 참여시켜 주실 줄 믿습니다.

- As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
- Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
- So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.
- Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.
- Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

- 내가 주님과 함께 하니, 하늘로 가더라도, 내게 주님 밖에 누가 더 있겠습니까? 땅에서라도, 내가 무엇을 더 바라겠습니까?
- 내 몸과 마음이 다 시들어가도, 하나님은 언제나 내 마음에 든든한 반석이시요, 내가 받을 몫의 전부이십니다.
- 주님을 멀리하는 사람은 망할 것입니다. 주님 앞에서 정절을 버리는 사람은, 주님께서 멸하실 것입니다.
- 하나님께 가까이 있는 것이 나에게 복이니, 내가 주 하나님을 나의 피난처로 삼고, 주님께서 이루신 모든 일들을 전파하렵니다.

- Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
- My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
- For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
- But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
