- 그런데도 하나님은 위의 하늘에게 명하셔서 하늘 문을 여시고,
- 만나를 비처럼 내리시어 하늘 양식을 그들에게 주셨으니,
- 사람이 천사의 음식을 먹었다. 하나님은 그들에게 풍족할 만큼 내려 주셨다.
- 그는 하늘에서 동풍을 일으키시고, 능력으로 남풍을 모으셔서,
- 고기를 먼지처럼 내려 주시고, 나는 새를 바다의 모래처럼 쏟아 주셨다.

- Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,
- And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.
- Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full.
- He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind.
- He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea:

- 새들은 진 한가운데로 떨어지면서, 그들이 사는 곳에 두루 떨어지니,
- 그들이 마음껏 먹고 배불렀다. 하나님은 그들이 원하는 대로 넉넉히 주셨다.
- 그러나 먹을 것이 아직도 입 속에 있는데도, 그들은 더 먹으려는 욕망을 버리지 않았다.
- 마침내 하나님이 그들에게 진노하셨다. 살진 사람들을 죽게 하시며, 이스라엘의 젊은이들을 거꾸러뜨리셨다.

- And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.
- So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire;
- They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths,
- The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.
