- 오래 전에 주님께서는 환상 가운데 나타나시어, 주님의 성도에게 말씀하셨습니다. "내가 용사들 위에 한 젊은 용사를 세우고 백성들 위에 내가 선택한 용사를 높이 세웠다.
- 나는 내 종 다윗을 찾아서, 내 거룩한 기름을 부어 주었다.
- 내 손이 그를 붙들어 주고, 내 팔이 그를 강하게 할 것이다.
- 원수들이 그를 이겨 내지 못하며, 악한 무리가 그를 괴롭히지 못할 것이다.
- 내가 오히려 그의 대적들을 그의 앞에서 격파하고, 그를 미워하는 자들을 쳐부수겠다.

- Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
- I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
- With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
- The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
- And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

- 나는 그를 사랑하고, 내 약속을 성실하게 지킬 것이며, 내가 그에게 승리를 안겨 주겠다.
- 그의 손은 바다를 치며 그의 오른손은 강을 정복하게 하겠다.
- 그는 나를 일컬어 '주님은 나의 아버지, 나의 하나님, 내 구원의 반석입니다' 하고 말할 것이다.
- 나도 그를 맏아들로 삼아서, 세상의 왕들 가운데서 가장 높은 왕으로 삼겠다.
- 그에게 내 신의를 영원토록 지키며, 그와 맺은 나의 언약을 성실히 지키겠다.

- But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
- I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
- He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
- Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
- My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

- 그의 자손을 길이길이 이어 주며, 그의 왕위를 하늘이 다할 때까지 지켜 주겠다.

- His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
