역대상 11:1-12:15

 사울에 이어 왕위에 오른 다윗은 예루살렘을 탈환하고 점점 강성하여져 갔다. 다윗의 30인 용사들의 명단과 사울이 죽기 전 다윗을 따르던 용사들의 명단이 소개되어 있다.
  
  다윗의 즉위와 예루살렘 탈환(11:1-11:9)    
 
  1. 온 이스라엘이 헤브론에 있는 다윗에게 몰려와서 말하였다. "우리는 임금님과 한 골육입니다.
  2. 전에 사울이 왕일 때에도, 이스라엘 군대를 거느리고 출전하셨다가 다시 돌아오신 분이 바로 임금님이십니다. 그리고 주 임금님의 하나님께서 '네가 나의 백성 이스라엘의 목자가 될 것이며, 네가 나의 백성 이스라엘의 통치자가 될 것이다' 하고 말씀하실 때에도 바로 임금님을 가리켜 말씀하신 것입니다."
  3. 그리하여 이스라엘의 모든 장로가 헤브론으로 왕을 찾아오니, 다윗이 헤브론에서 주님 앞으로 나아가 그들과 언약을 세웠다. 그리고 그들은, 주님께서 사무엘을 시켜서 말씀하신 대로, 다윗에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘의 왕으로 삼았다.
  4. 다윗과 온 이스라엘이 예루살렘, 곧 여부스로 갔다. 그 땅에는 여부스 사람이 살고 있었다.
  5. 여부스 주민이 다윗에게 말하였다. "너는 여기에 들어올 수 없다." （그러나 다윗이 시온 산성을 점령하였으므로, 그 곳을 '다윗 성'이라고 하였다.）
  1. Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
  2. And moreover in time past, even when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD thy God said unto thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler over my people Israel.
  3. Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
  4. And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land.
  5. And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come hither. Nevertheless David took the castle of Zion, which is the city of David.
  1. 다윗이 말하였다. "누구든지, 제일 먼저 여부스 사람을 치는 사람이 총사령관과 장관이 될 것이다." 스루야의 아들 요압이 제일 먼저 올라갔으므로, 그가 총사령관이 되었다.
  2. （다윗이 그 산성을 점령하고 거기에 사니, 사람들이 그 산성을 '다윗 성'이라고 하였다.）
  3. 다윗이 성을 쌓았는데, 밀로에서부터 시작하여, 한 바퀴 돌아가면서 성을 쌓았고, 나머지 부분은 요압이 복구하였다.
  4. 만군의 주님께서 다윗과 함께 계시므로, 다윗이 점점 강대해졌다.
  1. And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief.
  2. And David dwelt in the castle; therefore they called it the city of David.
  3. And he built the city round about, even from Millo round about: and Joab repaired the rest of the city.
  4. So David waxed greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts was with him.
 
  다윗의 용사들(11:10-12:15)    
 
  1. 다윗이 거느린 용사들의 우두머리는 다음과 같다. 이들은, 주님께서 이스라엘에 대하여 말씀하신 대로, 다윗이 왕이 될 수 있도록 그를 적극적으로 도와, 온 이스라엘과 함께 그를 왕으로 세운 사람들이다.
  2. 다윗이 거느린 용사들은 다음과 같다. 첫째는 학몬 사람의 아들 야소브암인데, 그는 세 용사의 우두머리이다. 그는 창을 휘두르며 삼백 명과 싸워, 그들을 한꺼번에 쳐죽인 사람이다.
  3. 세 용사 가운데서 둘째는 아호아 사람 도도의 아들인 엘르아살이다.
  4. 블레셋 사람이 싸우려고 바스담밈에 집결하였을 때에, 그도 다윗과 함께 거기에 있었다. 거기에는 보리가 무성한 밭이 있었다. 이스라엘 군대는 블레셋 군대를 보고 도망하였으나,
  5. 그는 밭의 한가운데에 버티고 서서, 그 밭을 지키며, 블레셋 군인들을 쳐죽였다. 주님께서 크게 승리하게 하셔서 그들을 구원하여 주셨다.
  1. These also are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in his kingdom, and with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
  2. And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam, an Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted up his spear against three hundred slain by him at one time.
  3. And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighties.
  4. He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.
  5. And they set themselves in the midst of that parcel, and delivered it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great deliverance.
  1. 블레셋 군대가 르바임 골짜기에 진을 치자, 삼십인 특별부대 소속인 이 세 용사가, 절벽에 있는 아둘람 동굴로 다윗을 찾아갔다.
  2. 그 때에 다윗은 산성 요새에 있었고, 블레셋 군대의 진은 베들레헴에 있었다.
  3. 다윗이 간절하게 소원을 말하였다. "누가 베들레헴 성문 곁에 있는 우물물을 나에게 길어다 주어, 내가 마실 수 있도록 해주겠느냐?"
  4. 그러자 그 세 용사가 블레셋 진을 뚫고 나가, 베들레헴의 성문 곁에 있는 우물물을 길어 가지고 와서 다윗에게 바쳤다. 그러나 다윗은 그 물을 마시지 않고, 길어 온 물을 주님께 부어 드리고 나서,
  5. 이렇게 말하였다. "하나님께서 보고 계시는데, 내가 어찌 감히 이 물을 마실 수 있단 말이냐! 이 사람들의 생명의 피를 내가 어찌 마시겠느냐? 이것은 목숨을 걸고 다녀온 세 용사의 피다." 그러면서 그는 물을 마시지 않았다. 이 세 용사가 바로 이런 일을 하였다.
  1. Now three of the thirty captains went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
  2. And David was then in the hold, and the Philistines' garrison was then at Bethlehem.
  3. And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that is at the gate!
  4. And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to the LORD.
  5. And said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing: shall I drink the blood of these men that have put their lives in jeopardy? for with the jeopardy of their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mightiest.
  1. 요압의 아우인 아비새는 삼십인 특별부대의 우두머리였다. 바로 그가 창을 휘둘러 삼백 명을 쳐서 죽인 용사이다. 그는 세 용사와 함께 유명해졌다.
  2. 그는 삼십인 특별부대 안에서 제일 뛰어난 용사였다. 그는 삼십인 특별부대의 우두머리가 되기는 하였으나, 세 용사에 견줄 만하지는 못하였다.
  3. 여호야다의 아들인 브나야는 갑스엘 출신으로, 공적을 많이 세운 용사였다. 바로 그가 사자처럼 기운이 센 모압의 장수 아리엘의 아들 둘을 쳐죽였고, 또 눈이 내리는 어느 날, 구덩이에 내려가서, 거기에 빠진 사자를 때려 죽였다.
  4. 그는 또 이집트 사람 하나를 죽였는데, 그 이집트 사람은 키가 다섯 규빗이나 되는 거인이었다. 그 이집트 사람은 베틀 다리 같은 굵은 창을 들고 있었으나, 브나야는 막대기 하나만을 가지고 그에게 덤벼, 오히려 그 이집트 사람의 손에서 창을 빼앗아, 그 창으로 그를 죽였다.
  5. 여호야다의 아들 브나야가 이런 일을 해서, 그 세 용사와 함께 유명해졌다.
  1. And Abishai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three: for lifting up his spear against three hundred, he slew them, and had a name among the three.
  2. Of the three, he was more honourable than the two; for he was their captain: howbeit he attained not to the first three.
  3. Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many acts; he slew two lionlike men of Moab: also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day.
  4. And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.
  5. These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among the three mighties.
  1. 그는 삼십인 특별부대 안에서 뛰어난 장수로 인정을 받았으나, 세 용사에 견줄 만하지는 못하였다. 다윗은 그를 자기의 경호대장으로 삼았다.
  2. 군대의 용사들로서는 다음과 같은 사람들이 더 있다. 요압의 아우 아사헬과, 베들레헴 사람 도도의 아들 엘하난과,
  3. 하롤 사람 삼훗과, 블론 사람 헬레스와,
  4. 드고아 사람 익게스의 아들 이라와, 아나돗 사람 아비에셀과,
  5. 후사 사람 십브개와, 아호아 사람 일래와,
  1. Behold, he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the first three: and David set him over his guard.
  2. Also the valiant men of the armies were, Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
  3. Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,
  4. Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Antothite,
  5. Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,
  1. 느도바 사람 마하래와, 느도바 사람 바아나의 아들 헬렛과,
  2. 베냐민 자손으로 기브아 사람 리배의 아들 이대와, 비라돈 사람 브나야와,
  3. 가아스 시냇가에 사는 후래와, 아르바 사람 아비엘과,
  4. 바하룸 사람 아스마웻과, 사알본 사람 엘리아바와,
  5. 기손 사람 하셈의 아들들과, 하랄 사람 사게의 아들 요나단과,
  1. Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,
  2. Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah, that pertained to the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,
  3. Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,
  4. Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite,
  5. The sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite,
  1. 하랄 사람 사갈의 아들 아히암과, 울의 아들 엘리발과,
  2. 므게랏 사람 헤벨과, 블론 사람 아히야와,
  3. 갈멜 사람 헤스로와, 에스배의 아들 나아래와,
  4. 나단의 아우 요엘과, 하그리의 아들 밉할과,
  5. 암몬 사람 셀렉과, 스루야의 아들 요압의 무기를 들고 다니는 브에롯 사람 나하래와,
  1. Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur,
  2. Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite,
  3. Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the son of Ezbai,
  4. Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Haggeri,
  5. Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armourbearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,
  1. 이델 사람 이라와, 이델 사람 가렙과,
  2. 헷 사람 우리야와, 알래의 아들 사밧과,
  3. 르우벤 자손 시사의 아들로서 르우벤 자손의 족장이며 서른 명을 거느린 아디나와,
  4. 마아가의 아들 하난과, 미덴 사람 요사밧과,
  5. 아스드랏 사람 웃시야와, 아로엘 사람 호담의 아들들인 사마와, 여이엘과,
  1. Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,
  2. Uriah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ahlai,
  3. Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a captain of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,
  4. Hanan the son of Maachah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,
  5. Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jehiel the sons of Hothan the Aroerite,
  1. 시므리의 아들 여디아엘과, 그의 아우 디스 사람 요하와,
  2. 마하위 사람 엘리엘과, 엘라암의 아들 여리배와, 요사위야와, 모압 사람 이드마와,
  3. 엘리엘과, 오벳과, 므소바 사람 야아시엘이다.
  1. Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite,
  2. Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,
  3. Eliel, and Obed, and Jasiel the Mesobaite.
 
 
  1. 다윗이 기스의 아들 사울에게 쫓겨서 시글락에 있을 때에, 그에게 와서 싸움을 도운 용사들은 다음과 같다.
  2. 이들은 좌우 양손으로 무릿매 돌도 던질 줄 알며 화살도 쏠 줄 아는 사람들로서, 활로 무장을 한 사람들인데, 베냐민 지파 사울의 일족이다.
  3. 그들의 우두머리는 아히에셀이고, 그 다음은 요아스인데, 이들은 기브아 사람인 스마아의 두 아들이다. 아스마웻의 아들 여시엘과 벨렛과, 아나돗 사람인 브라가와 예후와,
  4. 서른 명 용사 가운데 하나이며, 서른 명의 우두머리인 기브온 사람 이스마야이고, 또 예레미야와, 야하시엘과, 요하난과, 그데라 사람인 요사밧과,
  5. 엘루새와, 여리못과, 브아랴와, 스마랴와, 하룹 사람인 스바댜와,
  1. Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.
  2. They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul's brethren of Benjamin.
  3. The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite.
  4. And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,
  5. Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,
  1. 고라 사람인 엘가나와, 잇시야와, 아사렐과, 요에셀과, 야소브암과,
  2. 그돌 사람으로, 여로함의 아들인 요엘라와, 스바댜이다.
  3. 갓 지파 가운데서 광야에 있는 요새로 다윗을 찾아간 사람들이 있었다. 그들은 용맹스러운 용사들이요, 방패와 창을 다룰 줄 아는, 싸움에 익숙한 군인들이다. 그들의 얼굴은 사자의 얼굴과 같고 빠르기는 산의 노루와 같았다.
  4. 그들의 우두머리는 에셀이고, 둘째는 오바댜이고, 셋째는 엘리압이고,
  5. 넷째는 미스만나이고, 다섯째는 예레미야이고,
  1. Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites,
  2. And Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
  3. And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;
  4. Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
  5. Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
  1. 여섯째는 앗대이고, 일곱째는 엘리엘이고,
  2. 여덟째는 요하난이고, 아홉째는 엘사밧이고,
  3. 열째는 예레미야이고, 열한째는 막반내이다.
  4. 이들은 갓 자손의 군대 지휘관으로서, 그 가운데 계급이 낮은 사람은 백 명을 거느렸고, 높은 사람은 천 명을 거느렸다.
  5. 어느 해 첫째 달, 요단 강 물이 모든 강둑에 넘칠 때에, 그들은 강을 건너가 골짜기에 사는 모든 사람을 쳐서 동서로 도망 치게 하였다.
  1. Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
  2. Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
  3. Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.
  4. These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.
  5. These are they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.
