역대하 8:1-9:31

 솔로몬의 지혜로운 통치로 말미암아 정치, 경제, 종교, 각 방면으로 부강한 나라가 되었다. 그의 명성을 듣고 방문한 스바 여왕은 솔로몬의 지혜와 부귀 영화에 탄복하고 돌아갔다.
  
  솔로몬의 업적들(8:1-8:18)    
 
  1. 솔로몬이 주님의 성전과 자기의 궁전을 다 짓는 데에 스무 해가 걸렸다.
  2. 곧 이어 솔로몬은 히람에게서 얻은 성읍들도 다시 건축하여, 거기에 이스라엘 자손을 살게 하였다.
  3. 솔로몬은 또 하맛소바로 가서, 그 성읍을 점령하였다.
  4. 그는 또 광야에 다드몰을 건축하고, 모든 양곡 저장 성읍들은 하맛에다가 건축하였다.
  5. 또 윗 벳호론과 아랫 벳호론에 성벽을 쌓고 문들을 만들어 달고 빗장을 질러, 그 곳을 요새 성읍으로 만들었다.
  1. And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,
  2. That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
  3. And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.
  4. And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.
  5. Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
  1. 또 솔로몬은 자기에게 속한 바알랏과 양곡 저장 성읍들과 병거 주둔 성읍들과 기병 주둔 성읍들을 세웠다. 그래서 솔로몬은 예루살렘과 레바논과 그가 다스리는 모든 지역 안에, 그가 계획한 모든 것을 다 만들었다.
  2. 이스라엘 자손이 아닌 헷 사람과, 아모리 사람과 브리스 사람과 히위 사람과, 여부스 사람 가운데서 살아 남은 백성이 있었다.
  3. 솔로몬은 이 사람들을 노예로 삼아 강제노동에 동원하였다. 그들은, 이스라엘 자손이 다 멸하지 않고 그 땅에 남겨 둔 사람의 자손이다. 그래서 그들은 오늘날까지도 노예로 남아 있다.
  4. 그러나 솔로몬은 이스라엘 사람들 가운데서는 어느 누구도, 노예로 삼아 일을 시키지 않았다. 이스라엘 사람은 솔로몬의 군인, 관리들을 통솔하는 최고 지휘관, 병거대 지휘관과 기병대가 되었다.
  5. 솔로몬 왕의 일을 지휘한 관리 책임자들은 이백오십 명이었다. 그들은 백성을 감독하는 권한을 가진 사람들이다.
  1. And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
  2. As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,
  3. But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.
  4. But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.
  5. And these were the chief of king Solomon's officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.
  1. 솔로몬은 바로의 딸을 '다윗 성'에서 데려다가, 그가 살 궁을 따로 세우고 그 궁에서 살게 하였다. 솔로몬은, 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 궁은 주님의 궤를 모신 거룩한 곳이므로, 그의 이방인 아내가 거기에서 살아서는 안 된다고 생각한 것이다.
  2. 그 때에 솔로몬은, 자기가 현관 앞에 세운 주님의 제단에서, 주님께 번제를 드렸다.
  3. 그는 안식일과 새 달과 해마다 세 번 지키는 절기인 무교절과 칠칠절과 초막절에 대하여, 모세가 명령한 제사의 일과를 그대로 하였다.
  4. 솔로몬은 또 자기의 아버지 다윗이 정한 법을 좇아, 제사장들에게는 갈래를 따라 차례대로 봉사하게 하였고, 레위 사람에게도 직책을 맡겨서, 날마다 찬송하는 일과 제사장들을 보좌하는 일을 하게 하였다. 그는 또 문지기들에게는 갈래를 따라 여러 문을 지키게 하였다. 하나님의 사람 다윗이 명령한 그대로였다.
  5. 제사장들과 레위 사람들은, 곳간 관리에 이르기까지 온갖 일에 있어서, 다윗 왕이 명령한 것은 어느 것 하나도 어기지 않고 따랐다.
  1. And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.
  2. Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,
  3. Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
  4. And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
  5. And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
  1. 이렇게 주님의 성전 기초가 놓인 날부터 시작하여 그 공사가 완성되기까지, 솔로몬의 모든 건축 공사가 잘 진행되었으니, 주님의 성전이 비로소 완공되었다.
  2. 그 때에 솔로몬이 에돔 땅의 성읍인 에시온게벨 항구와 엘롯 항구로 갔더니,
  3. 히람이 신하들을 시켜서 솔로몬에게 상선들을 보내고, 바다에 노련한 부하들도 보냈다. 그들은 솔로몬의 부하들과 함께 오빌로 가서, 거기에서 금 사백오십 달란트를 실어다가 솔로몬에게 바쳤다.
  1. Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.
  2. Then went Solomon to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.
  3. And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
 
  솔로몬의 영광과 죽음(9:1-9:31)    
 
  1. 스바의 여왕이 솔로몬의 명성을 듣고, 여러 가지 어려운 질문으로 그를 시험하여 보려고, 예루살렘으로 그를 찾아왔다. 그는 많은 수행원을 데리고, 또 여러 가지 향료와 많은 금과 보석들을 낙타에 싣고 왔다. 그는 솔로몬에게 이르자, 마음 속에 품고 있는 온갖 것들을 다 물어 보았다.
  2. 솔로몬은 여왕이 묻는 모든 물음에 척척 대답하였다. 솔로몬이 몰라서 여왕에게 대답하지 못한 것은 하나도 없었다.
  3. 스바의 여왕은, 솔로몬이 온갖 지혜를 갖추고 있는 것을 확인하고, 그가 지은 궁전을 두루 살펴보고,
  4. 또 왕의 상에 오른 요리와, 신하들이 둘러 앉은 모습과, 그의 관리들이 일하는 모습과, 그들이 입은 제복과, 술잔을 받들어 올리는 시종들과, 그들이 입은 제복과, 주님의 성전에서 드리는 번제물을 보고 나서 넋을 잃었다.
  5. 여왕이 왕에게 말하였다. "임금님께서 이루신 업적과 임금님의 지혜에 관한 소문을, 내가 내 나라에서 이미 들었지만, 와서 보니, 과연 들은 소문이 모두 사실입니다.
  1. And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
  2. And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.
  3. And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
  4. And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.
  5. And she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom:
  1. 내가 여기 오기 전까지는 그 소문을 믿지 못하였는데, 내 눈으로 직접 확인하고 보니, 오히려 내가 들은 소문은 사실의 절반도 안 되는 것 같습니다. 임금님께서는, 내가 들은 소문보다 훨씬 뛰어나신 분이십니다.
  2. 임금님의 백성은 참으로 행복한 사람들입니다. 임금님 앞에 서서, 늘 임금님의 지혜를 배우는 임금님의 신하들 또한, 참으로 행복하다 아니할 수 없습니다.
  3. 주 임금님의 하나님께 찬양을 돌립니다. 하나님께서는 임금님을 좋아하셔서 임금님을 그의 보좌에 앉히시고, 주 하나님을 받드는 왕으로 삼으셨습니다. 임금님의 하나님께서는 이스라엘을 사랑하셔서, 그들을 영원히 굳게 세우시려고, 임금님을 그들 위에 왕으로 세우시고, 공평과 정의로 다스리게 하셨습니다."
  4. 그런 다음에, 여왕은, 금 백이십 달란트와 아주 많은 향료와 보석을 왕에게 선사하였다. 솔로몬 왕은, 스바의 여왕에게서 받은 만큼, 그렇게 많은 향료를, 다시는 어느 누구에게서도 더 받아 본 일이 없다.
  5. （히람의 일꾼들과 솔로몬의 일꾼들도 오빌에서 금을 실어 왔다. 그들은 백단목과 보석도 가져 왔다.
  1. Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
  2. Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.
  3. Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
  4. And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.
  5. And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones.
  1. 왕은 이 백단목으로 주님의 성전과 왕궁의 계단을 만들고, 합창단원이 쓸 수금과 거문고를 만들었다. 이와 같은 백단목은 일찍이 유다 땅에서는 본 일이 없었다.）
  2. 솔로몬 왕은 스바의 여왕이 가져 온 것보다 더 많이 주었을 뿐만 아니라, 여왕이 요구하는 대로, 가지고 싶어 하는 것은 모두 주었다. 여왕은 신하들과 함께 자기의 나라로 돌아갔다.
  3. 해마다 솔로몬에게 들어오는 금의 무게가 육백육십육 달란트나 되었다.
  4. 이 밖에도 관세 수입과 외국과의 무역에서 벌어들인 것이 있고, 아라비아의 모든 왕들과, 국내의 지방 장관들이 보내오는 금도 있었다.
  5. 솔로몬 왕은 금을 두드려 펴서 입힌 큰 방패를 이백 개나 만들었는데, 방패 하나에 들어간 금만 해도 육백 세겔이나 되었다.
  1. And the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king's palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.
  2. And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went away to her own land, she and her servants.
  3. Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;
  4. Beside that which chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.
  5. And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one target.
  1. 그는 또 금을 두드려 펴서 입힌 작은 방패를 삼백 개 만들었는데, 그 방패 하나에 들어간 금은 삼백 세겔이었다. 왕은 이 방패들을 '레바논 수풀 궁'에 두었다.
  2. 왕은 또 상아로 큰 보좌를 만들고, 겉에 순금을 입혔다.
  3. 그 보좌로 오르는 층계는 계단이 여섯이었으며, 보좌에 붙은 발받침대는 금으로 만든 것이었다. 앉는 자리 양쪽에는 팔걸이가 있고, 팔걸이 양 옆에는 사자 상이 하나씩 서 있었다.
  4. 여섯 개의 계단 양쪽에도, 각각 여섯 개씩 열두 개의 사자 상이 서 있었다. 일찍이 어느 나라에서도 이렇게는 만들지 못하였다.
  5. 솔로몬 왕이 마시는 데 쓰는 모든 그릇은 금으로 되어 있었고, '레바논 수풀 궁'에 있는 그릇도 모두 순금으로 만든 것이었다. 솔로몬 시대에는, 은은 귀금속 축에 들지도 못하였다.
  1. And three hundred shields made he of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
  2. Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
  3. And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the stays:
  4. And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom.
  5. And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
  1. 왕의 배들은 히람의 일꾼들을 태우고 다시스로 다니며, 세 해마다 한 번씩 금과 은과 상아와 원숭이와 공작새 들을 실어 오곤 하였다.
  2. 솔로몬 왕은 재산에 있어서나, 지혜에 있어서나, 이 세상의 어떤 왕보다 훨씬 뛰어났다.
  3. 그래서 세상의 모든 왕들은 솔로몬을 직접 만나서, 하나님께서 그의 마음 속에 넣어 주신 지혜의 말을 들으려고 하였다.
  4. 그리하여 그들은 각자, 은그릇과 금그릇과 옷과 갑옷과 향료와 말과 노새를 예물로 가지고 왔는데, 해마다 이런 사람들의 방문이 그치지 않았다.
  5. 병거 끄는 말을 매어 두는 마구간만 하더라도, 솔로몬이 가지고 있던 것이 사천 칸이나 되었다. 기병은 만 이천 명에 이르렀다. 솔로몬은 그들을, 병거 주둔성과 왕이 있는 예루살렘에다가 나누어서 배치하였다.
  1. For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
  2. And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
  3. And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.
  4. And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
  5. And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
  1. 그는 유프라테스 강에서부터 블레셋 영토에 이르기까지, 또 이집트의 국경에 이르기까지 모든 왕을 다스렸다.
  2. 왕의 덕분에 예루살렘에는 은이 돌처럼 흔하였고, 백향목은 세펠라 평원지대의 뽕나무만큼이나 많았다.
  3. 솔로몬은 이집트에서 그리고 다른 모든 나라에서 군마를 사들였다.
  4. 솔로몬의 나머지 행적은 처음부터 끝까지, '나단 예언자의 역사책'과 '실로 사람 아히야의 예언서'와 '잇도 선견자의 묵시록', 곧 잇도가 느밧의 아들 여로보암에 대하여 쓴 책에 기록되어 있다.
  5. 솔로몬은 예루살렘에서 마흔 해 동안 온 이스라엘을 다스렸다.
  1. And he reigned over all the kings from the river even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
  2. And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the low plains in abundance.
  3. And they brought unto Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
  5. And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
  1. 솔로몬은 죽어서 그의 아버지 다윗의 성에 묻혔다. 그의 아들 르호보암이 그의 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었다.
  1. And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
