- 주님, 영광을 우리에게 돌리지 마십시오. 우리에게 돌리지 마시고, 오직 주님의 이름에만 영광을 돌리십시오. 그 영광은 다만 주님의 인자하심과 진실하심에 돌려주십시오.
- 어찌하여 이방 나라들이 "그들의 하나님이 어디에 있느냐?" 하고 말하게 하겠습니까?
- 우리 하나님은 하늘에 계셔서, 하고자 하시면 어떤 일이든 이루신다.
- 이방 나라의 우상은 금과 은으로 된 것이며, 사람이 손으로 만든 것이다.
- 입이 있어도 말하지 못하고, 눈이 있어도 볼 수 없으며,

- Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
- Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?
- But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
- Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
- They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:

- 귀가 있어도 듣지 못하고, 코가 있어도 냄새를 맡지 못하고,
- 손이 있어도 만지지 못하고, 발이 있어도 걷지 못하고, 목구멍이 있어도 소리를 내지 못한다.
- 우상을 만드는 사람이나 우상을 의지하는 사람은 모두 우상과 같이 되고 만다.

- They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
- They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
- They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.
