느헤미야 7:1-8:12

 느헤미야는 하나니와 하나냐에게 예루살렘 성을 다스리고 지키게 하였다. 그리고 귀환자들의 보계를 얻었다. 이스라엘 백성들이 에스라에게 율법 책 낭독을 요청하였고, 율법을 깨닫게 된 백성들은 하나님께 경배하면서 울며 회개하였다. 느헤미야는 백성들을 위로하면서 하나님의 성일을 기쁨으로 지키게 하였다.
  
  귀환자 명단(7:1-7:73)    
 
  1. 성벽을 다시 쌓고, 문들을 제자리에 단 다음에, 나는 성전 문지기와 노래하는 사람과 레위 사람을 세우고
  2. 나의 아우 하나니와 성채 지휘관 하나냐에게 예루살렘 경비를 맡겼다. 하나냐는 진실한 사람이고, 남다르게 하나님을 두려워하는 사람이었다.
  3. 나는 그들에게 일렀다. "해가 떠서 환해지기 전에는 예루살렘 성문들을 열지 말고, 해가 아직 높이 있을 때에, 성문들을 닫고 빗장을 지르도록 하시오. 예루살렘 성 사람들로 경비를 세우시오. 일부는 지정된 초소에서, 일부는 자기들의 집 가까이에서 경비를 서게 하십시오."
  4. 성읍은 크고 넓으나, 인구가 얼마 안 되고, 제대로 지은 집도 얼마 없었다.
  5. 귀족들과 관리들과 일반 백성을 모아서 가족별로 등록시키도록, 나의 하나님이 나의 마음을 감동시키셨다. 마침, 나는 일차로 돌아온 사람들의 가족별 등록부를 찾았는데, 거기에는 다음과 같이 적혀 있다.
  1. Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
  2. That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
  3. And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.
  4. Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.
  5. And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,
  1. 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살에게 사로잡혀 바빌로니아로 끌려간 사람들 가운데서, 많은 사람들이 바빌로니아 각 지방을 떠나 제 고향 땅 예루살렘과 유다로 돌아왔다.
  2. 그들은 스룹바벨과 예수아와 느헤미야와 아사랴와 라아먀와 나하마니와 모르드개와 빌산과 미스베렛과 비그왜와 느훔과 바아나가 돌아올 때에 함께 돌아왔다. 이스라엘 백성의 명단과 수는 다음과 같다.
  3. 바로스 자손이 이천백칠십이 명이요,
  4. 스바댜 자손이 삼백칠십이 명이요,
  5. 아라 자손이 육백오십이 명이요,
  1. These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;
  2. Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;
  3. The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.
  4. The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.
  5. The children of Arah, six hundred fifty and two.

  1. The children of Pahathmoab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.
  2. The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.
  3. The children of Zattu, eight hundred forty and five.
  4. The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and threescore.
  5. The children of Binnui, six hundred forty and eight.
  1. 브배 자손이 육백이십팔 명이요,
  2. 아스갓 자손이 이천삼백이십이 명이요,
  3. 아도니감 자손이 육백육십칠 명이요,
  4. 비그왜 자손이 이천육십칠 명이요,
  5. 아딘 자손이 육백오십오 명이요,
  1. The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and eight.
  2. The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.
  3. The children of Adonikam, six hundred threescore and seven.
  4. The children of Bigvai, two thousand threescore and seven.
  5. The children of Adin, six hundred fifty and five.
  1. 아델 자손 곧 히스기야 자손이 구십팔 명이요,
  2. 하숨 자손이 삼백이십팔 명이요,
  3. 베새 자손이 삼백이십사 명이요,
  4. 하립 자손이 백십이 명이요,
  5. 기브온 자손이 구십오 명이다.
  1. The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.
  2. The children of Hashum, three hundred twenty and eight.
  3. The children of Bezai, three hundred twenty and four.
  4. The children of Hariph, an hundred and twelve.
  5. The children of Gibeon, ninety and five.
  1. 베들레헴 사람과 느도바 사람이 백팔십팔 명이요,
  2. 아나돗 사람이 백이십팔 명이요,
  3. 벳아스마웻 사람이 사십이 명이요,
  4. 기럇여아림과 그비라와 브에롯 사람이 칠백사십삼 명이요,
  5. 라마와 게바 사람이 육백이십일 명이요,
  1. The men of Bethlehem and Netophah, an hundred fourscore and eight.
  2. The men of Anathoth, an hundred twenty and eight.
  3. The men of Bethazmaveth, forty and two.
  4. The men of Kirjathjearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three.
  5. The men of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred twenty and one.

  1. 여리고 사람이 삼백사십오 명이요,

  1. The children of Jericho, three hundred forty and five.
  2. The children of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty and one.
  3. The children of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.
  4. The priests: the children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy and three.
  5. The children of Immer, a thousand fifty and two.
  1. 바스훌 자손이 천이백사십칠 명이요,
  2. 하림 자손이 천십칠 명이다.
  3. 레위 사람은, 호드야의 자손들인 예수아와 갓미엘 자손이 칠십사 명이요,
  4. 노래하는 사람은, 아삽 자손이 백사십팔 명이요,
  5. 성전 문지기는, 살룸 자손과 아델 자손과 달문 자손과 악굽 자손과 하디다 자손과 소배 자손인데, 백삼십팔 명이다.
  1. The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred forty and seven.
  2. The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.
  3. The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, and of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.
  4. The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundred forty and eight.
  5. The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, an hundred thirty and eight.
  1. 성전 막일꾼은, 시하 자손과 하수바 자손과 답바옷 자손과
  2. 게로스 자손과 시아 자손과 바돈 자손과
  3. 르바나 자손과 하가바 자손과 살매 자손과
  4. 하난 자손과 깃델 자손과 가할 자손과
  5. 르아야 자손과 르신 자손과 느고다 자손과
  1. The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,
  2. The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,
  3. The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,
  4. The children of Hanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar,
  5. The children of Reaiah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda,
  1. 갓삼 자손과 웃사 자손과 바세아 자손과
  2. 베새 자손과 므우님 자손과 느비스심 자손과
  3. 박북 자손과 하그바 자손과 할훌 자손과
  4. 바슬릿 자손과 므히다 자손과 하르사 자손과
  5. 바르고스 자손과 시스라 자손과 데마 자손과
  1. The children of Gazzam, the children of Uzza, the children of Phaseah,
  2. The children of Besai, the children of Meunim, the children of Nephishesim,
  3. The children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,
  4. The children of Bazlith, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,
  5. The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Tamah,
  1. 느시야 자손과 하디바 자손이다.
  2. 솔로몬을 섬기던 종들의 자손은, 소대 자손과 소베렛 자손과 브리다 자손과
  3. 야알라 자손과 다르곤 자손과 깃델 자손과
  4. 스바댜 자손과 핫딜 자손과 보게렛하스바임 자손과 아몬 자손이다.
  5. 이상 성전 막일꾼과 솔로몬을 섬기던 종의 자손은 모두 삼백구십이 명이다.
  1. The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.
  2. The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
  3. The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
  4. The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.
  5. All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
  1. 이 밖에 델멜라와 델하르사와 그룹과 앗돈과 임멜 등 여러 곳에서 사람들이 왔지만, 가문이 밝혀지지 않아서, 그들이 이스라엘의 자손인지 아닌지는 알 길이 없었다.
  2. 그들은, 들라야 자손과 도비야 자손과 느고다 자손인데, 모두 육백사십이 명이다.
  3. 제사장 가문 가운데는 호바야 자손과 학고스 자손과 바르실래 자손도 있는데, 이들 가운데서 바르실래는 길르앗 지방 사람인 바르실래 집안으로 장가를 들어서, 장인의 이름을 이어받은 사람이다.
  4. 족보를 뒤져보았지만, 그들은 그 조상이 확인되지 않았으므로, 제사장 직분을 맡기에는 적합하지 않다고 생각해서, 그 직분을 맡지 못하게 하였다.
  5. 유다 총독은 그들에게, 우림과 둠밈을 가지고 판결을 내릴 제사장이 나타날 때까지는, 가장 거룩한 음식은 먹지 말라고 명령하였다.
  1. And these were they which went up also from Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.
  2. The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
  3. And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.
  4. These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
  5. And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.
  1. 돌아온 회중의 수는 모두 사만 이천삼백육십 명이다.
  2. 그들이 부리던 남녀 종이 칠천삼백삼십칠 명이요, 그 밖에 노래하는 남녀가 이백사십오 명이다.
  3. 또 말이 칠백삼십육 마리요, 노새가 이백사십오 마리요,
  4. 낙타가 사백삼십오 마리요, 나귀가 육천칠백이십 마리이다.
  5. 가문의 우두머리 가운데는 건축 기금을 내놓는 사람들이 있었다. 총독도 금 천 다릭과 쟁반 오십 개와 제사장 예복 오백삼십 벌을 창고에 들여놓았다.
  1. The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,
  2. Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.
  3. Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five:
  4. Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.
  5. And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.
  1. 각 가문의 우두머리들이 공사를 위하여 창고에 바친 것은, 금이 이만 다릭이요, 은이 이천이백 마네였다.
  2. 나머지 백성이 바친 것은, 금이 이만 다릭이요, 은이 이천 마네요, 제사장의 예복이 육십칠 벌이다.
  3. 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 성전 문지기들과 노래하는 사람들과 백성 가운데 일부와 성전 막일꾼들과 나머지 이스라엘 사람들은, 저마다 고향에 자리를 잡았다. 이스라엘 자손이 그렇게 여러 마을에 흩어져서 살고 있었다. 일곱째 달이 되었을 때에,
  1. And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.
  2. And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests' garments.
  3. So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
 
  율법 낭독(8:1-8:12)    
 
  1. 모든 백성이 한꺼번에 수문 앞 광장에 모였다. 그들은 학자 에스라에게, 주님께서 이스라엘에게 명하신 모세의 율법책을 가지고 오라고 청하였다.
  2. 일곱째 달 초하루에 에스라 제사장은 율법책을 가지고 회중 앞에 나왔다. 거기에는, 남자든 여자든, 알아들을 만한 사람은 모두 나와 있었다.
  3. 그는 수문 앞 광장에서, 남자든 여자든, 알아들을 만한 모든 사람에게 새벽부터 정오까지, 큰소리로 율법책을 읽어 주었다. 백성은 모두 율법책 읽는 소리에 귀를 기울였다.
  4. 학자 에스라는 임시로 만든 높은 나무 단 위에 섰다. 그 오른쪽으로는 맛디댜와 스마와 아나야와 우리야와 힐기야와 마아세야가 서고, 왼쪽으로는 브다야와 미사엘과 말기야와 하숨과 하스밧다나와 스가랴와 므술람이 섰다.
  5. 학자 에스라는 높은 단 위에 서 있었으므로, 백성들은 모두, 그가 책 펴는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 에스라가 책을 펴면, 백성들은 모두 일어섰다.
  1. And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.
  2. And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.
  3. And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.
  4. And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
  5. And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:
  1. 에스라가 위대하신 주 하나님을 찬양하면, 백성들은 모두 손을 들고 "아멘! 아멘!" 하고 응답하고, 엎드려 얼굴을 땅에 대고 주님께 경배하였다.
  2. 레위 사람인 예수아와 바니와 세레뱌와 야민과 악굽과 사브대와 호디야와 마아세야와 그리다와 아사랴와 요사밧과 하난과 블라야는, 백성들이 제자리에 서 있는 동안에, 그들에게 율법을 설명하여 주었다.
  3. 하나님의 율법책이 낭독될 때에, 그들이 통역을 하고 뜻을 밝혀 설명하여 주었으므로, 백성은 내용을 잘 알아들을 수 있었다.
  4. 백성은 율법의 말씀을 들으면서, 모두 울었다. 그래서 총독 느헤미야와, 학자 에스라 제사장과, 백성을 가르치는 레위 사람들이, 이 날은 주 하나님의 거룩한 날이니, 슬퍼하지도 말고 울지도 말라고 모든 백성을 타일렀다.
  5. 느헤미야는 그들에게 말하였다. "돌아들 가십시오. 살진 짐승들을 잡아 푸짐하게 차려서, 먹고 마시도록 하십시오. 아무것도 차리지 못한 사람들에게는, 먹을 몫을 보내 주십시오. 오늘은 우리 주님의 거룩한 날입니다. 주님 앞에서 기뻐하면 힘이 생기는 법이니, 슬퍼하지들 마십시오."
  1. And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
  2. Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.
  3. So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
  4. And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.
  5. Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
  1. 레위 사람들도 모든 백성을 달래면서, 오늘은 거룩한 날이니, 조용히 하고, 슬퍼하지 말라고 타일렀다.
  2. 모든 백성은 배운 바를 밝히 깨달았으므로, 돌아가서 먹고 마시며, 없는 사람들에게는 먹을 것을 나누어 주면서, 크게 기뻐하였다.
  1. So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.
  2. And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.
