욥기 23:1-26:14

 욥은 엘리바스의 답변에 탄식하면서, 하나님께서 결백한 자신의 호소에 답변해 주실 것을 간구하였다. 그리고 악인들의 최후에 관하여 말한 후, 그들을 놓아 두시는 하나님의 섭리에 의문을 표시하였다. 이에 대하여 빌닷은 하나님의 권능과 위엄을 말하면서 하나님 앞에서 의롭고 깨끗한 사람은 없다고 하였다.
  
  욥의 대답(23:1-24:25)    
 
  1. 욥이 대답하였다.
  2. 오늘도 이렇게 처절하게 탄식할 수밖에 없다니! 내가 받는 이 고통에는 아랑곳없이, 그분이 무거운 손으로 여전히 나를 억누르시는구나!
  3. 아, 그분이 계신 곳을 알 수만 있다면, 그분의 보좌까지 내가 이를 수만 있다면,
  4. 그분 앞에서 내 사정을 아뢰련만, 내가 정당함을 입이 닳도록 변론하련만.
  5. 그러면 그분은 무슨 말로 내게 대답하실까? 내게 어떻게 대답하실까?
  1. Then Job answered and said,
  2. Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.
  3. Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!
  4. I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
  5. I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me.
  1. 하나님이 힘으로 나를 억누르실까? 그렇지 않을 것이다. 내가 말씀을 드릴 때에, 귀를 기울여 들어 주실 것이다.
  2. 내게 아무런 잘못이 없으니, 하나님께 떳떳하게 말씀드릴 수 있을 것이다. 내 말을 다 들으시고 나서는, 단호하게 무죄를 선언하실 것이다.
  3. 그러나 동쪽으로 가서 찾아보아도, 하나님은 거기에 안 계시고, 서쪽으로 가서 찾아보아도, 하나님을 뵐 수가 없구나.
  4. 북쪽에서 일을 하고 계실 터인데도, 그분을 뵐 수가 없고, 남쪽에서 일을 하고 계실 터인데도, 그분을 뵐 수가 없구나.
  5. 하나님은 내가 발 한 번 옮기는 것을 다 알고 계실 터이니, 나를 시험해 보시면 내게 흠이 없다는 것을 아실 수 있으련만!
  1. Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
  2. There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
  3. Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
  4. On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
  5. But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
  1. 내 발은 오직 그분의 발자취를 따르며, 하나님이 정하신 길로만 성실하게 걸으며, 길을 벗어나서 방황하지 않았건만!
  2. 그분의 입술에서 나오는 계명을 어긴 일이 없고, 그분의 입에서 나오는 말씀을 늘 마음 속 깊이 간직하였건만!
  3. 그러나 그분이 한번 뜻을 정하시면, 누가 그것을 돌이킬 수 있으랴? 한번 하려고 하신 것은, 반드시 이루고 마시는데,
  4. 하나님이 가지고 계신 많은 계획 가운데, 나를 두고 세우신 계획이 있으면, 반드시 이루고야 마시겠기에
  5. 나는 그분 앞에서 떨리는구나. 이런 것을 생각할 때마다, 그분이 두렵구나.
  1. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
  2. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
  3. But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.
  4. For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
  5. Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him.
  1. 하나님이 내 용기를 꺾으셨기 때문이고, 전능하신 분께서 나를 떨게 하셨기 때문이지,
  2. 내가 무서워 떤 것은 어둠 때문도 아니고, 흑암이 나를 덮은 탓도 아니다.
  1. For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:
  2. Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face.
 
 
  1. 어찌하여 전능하신 분께서는, 심판하실 때를 정하여 두지 않으셨을까? 어찌하여 그를 섬기는 사람들이 정당하게 판단받을 날을 정하지 않으셨을까?
  2. 경계선까지 옮기고 남의 가축을 빼앗아 제 우리에 집어 넣는 사람도 있고,
  3. 고아의 나귀를 강제로 끌어가는 사람이 있는가 하면, 과부가 빚을 갚을 때까지, 과부의 소를 끌어가는 사람도 있구나.
  4. 가난한 사람들이 권리를 빼앗기는가 하면, 흙에 묻혀 사는 가련한 사람들이 학대를 견디다 못해 도망가서 숨기도 한다.
  5. 가난한 사람들은 들나귀처럼 메마른 곳으로 가서 일거리를 찾고 먹거리를 얻으려고 하지만, 어린 아이들에게 먹일 것을 찾을 곳은 빈 들뿐이다.
  1. Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
  2. Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.
  3. They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
  4. They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
  5. Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.
  1. 가을걷이가 끝난 남의 밭에서 이삭이나 줍고, 악한 자의 포도밭에서 남은 것이나 긁어 모은다.
  2. 잠자리에서도 덮을 것이 없으며, 추위를 막아 줄 이불 조각 하나도 없다.
  3. 산에서 쏟아지는 소낙비에 젖어도, 비를 피할 곳이라고는 바위 밑밖에 없다.
  4. 아버지 없는 어린 아이를 노예로 빼앗아 가는 자들도 있다. 가난한 사람이 빚을 못 갚는다고 자식을 빼앗아 가는 자들도 있다.
  5. 가난한 사람들은 입지도 못한 채로 헐벗고 다녀야 한다. 곡식단을 지고 나르지만, 굶주림에 허덕여야 한다.
  1. They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.
  2. They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
  3. They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
  4. They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
  5. They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;
  1. 올리브로 기름을 짜고, 포도로 포도주를 담가도, 그들은 여전히 목말라 한다.
  2. 성읍 안에서 상처받은 사람들과 죽어 가는 사람들이 소리를 질러도, 하나님은 그들의 간구를 못 들은 체하신다.
  3. 빛을 싫어하는 사람들이 있다. 그들은 빛이 밝혀 주는 것을 알지 못하며, 빛이 밝혀 주는 길로 가지 않는다.
  4. 살인하는 자는 새벽에 일어나서 가난한 사람과 궁핍한 사람을 죽이고, 밤에는 도둑질을 한다.
  5. 간음하는 자는 저물기를 바라며, 사람들이 눈치채지 못할 것이라고 생각하며, 얼굴을 가린다.
  1. Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
  2. Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them.
  3. They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
  4. The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
  5. The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.
  1. 도둑들은 대낮에 털 집을 보아 두었다가, 어두워지면 벽을 뚫고 들어간다. 이런 자들은 하나같이 밝은 한낮에는 익숙하지 못하다.
  2. 그들은 한낮을 무서워하고, 오히려 어둠 속에서 평안을 누린다.
  3. 악한 사람은 홍수에 떠내려간다. 그의 밭에는 하나님의 저주가 내리니, 다시는 포도원에 갈 일이 없을 것이다.
  4. 날이 가물고 무더워지면 눈 녹은 물이 증발하는 것 같이, 죄인들도 그렇게 스올로 사라질 것이다.
  5. 그러면 그를 낳은 어머니도 그를 잊고, 구더기가 그를 달게 먹는다. 아무도 그를 다시 기억하지 않는다. 악은 결국, 잘린 나무처럼 멸망하고 마는 것이다.
  1. In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
  2. For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
  3. He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
  4. Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.
  5. The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
  1. 과부를 등쳐 먹고, 자식 없는 여인을 학대하니, 어찌 이런 일이 안 일어나겠느냐?
  2. 하나님이 그분의 능력으로 강한 사람들을 휘어 잡으시니, 그가 한번 일어나시면 악인들은 생명을 건질 길이 없다.
  3. 하나님이 악한 자들에게 안정을 주셔서 그들을 평안하게 하여 주시는 듯하지만, 하나님은 그들의 행동을 낱낱이 살피신다.
  4. 악인들은 잠시 번영하다가 곧 사라지고, 풀처럼 마르고 시들며, 곡식 이삭처럼 잘리는 법이다.
  5. 내가 한 말을 부인할 사람이 누구냐? 내가 한 말이 모두 진실이 아니라고 공격할 자가 누구냐?
  1. He evil entreateth the barren that beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
  2. He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.
  3. Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
  4. They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
  5. And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
 
  빌닷의 세번째 충고(25:1-26:14)    
 
  1. 수아 사람 빌닷이 대답하였다.
  2. 하나님께는 주권과 위엄이 있으시다. 그분은 하늘 나라에서 평화를 이루셨다.
  3. 그분이 거느리시는 군대를 헤아릴 자가 누구냐? 하나님의 빛이 가서 닿지 않는 곳이 어디에 있느냐?
  4. 그러니 어찌 사람이 하나님 앞에서 의롭다고 하겠으며, 여자에게서 태어난 사람이 어찌 깨끗하다고 하겠는가?
  5. 비록 달이라도 하나님에게는 밝은 것이 아니며, 별들마저 하나님이 보시기에는 청명하지 못하거늘,
  1. Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
  2. Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
  3. Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
  4. How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
  5. Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
  1. 하물며 구더기 같은 사람, 벌레 같은 인간이야 말할 나위가 있겠는가?
  1. How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
 
 
  1. 욥이 대답하였다.
  2. 나를 그렇게까지 생각하여 주니, 고맙다. 나처럼 가난하고 힘없는 자를 도와주다니!
  3. 너는 우둔한 나를 잘 깨우쳐 주었고, 네 지혜를 내게 나누어 주었다.
  4. 그런데 누가, 네가 한 그런 말을 들을 것이라고 생각하느냐? 너는 누구에게 영감을 받아서 그런 말을 하는거냐?
  5. 죽은 자들이 떤다. 깊은 물 밑에서 사는 자들이 두려워한다.
  1. But Job answered and said,
  2. How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?
  3. How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?
  4. To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?
  5. Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
  1. 스올도 하나님께는 훤하게 보이고, 멸망의 구덩이도 그분의 눈에는 훤하게 보인다.
  2. 하나님이 북쪽 하늘을 허공에 펼쳐 놓으시고, 이 땅덩이를 빈 곳에 매달아 놓으셨다.
  3. 구름 속에 물을 채우시고, 물이 구름 밑으로 터져 나오지 못하게 막고 계시는 분이 바로 하나님이시다.
  4. 하나님은 보름달을 구름 뒤에 숨기신다.
  5. 물 위에 수평선을 만드시고, 빛과 어둠을 나누신다.
  1. Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.
  2. He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
  3. He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
  4. He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.
  5. He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
  1. 그분께서 꾸짖으시면, 하늘을 떠받치는 기둥이 흔들린다.
  2. 능력으로 '바다'를 정복하시며, 지혜로 라합을 쳐부순다.
  3. 그분의 콧김에 하늘이 맑게 개며, 그분의 손은 도망 치는 바다 괴물을 찔러 죽인다.
  4. 그러나 이런 것들은, 그분이 하시는 일의 일부에 지나지 않고, 우리가 그분에게서 듣는 것도 가냘픈 속삭임에 지나지 않는다. 하물며 그분의 권능에 찬 우레 소리를 누가 이해할 수 있겠느냐!
  1. The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
  2. He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.
  3. By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
  4. Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
