욥기 39:1-40:24

 하나님께서는 자연 세계에 관한 여러 가지 질문을 하시면서 욥에게 대답을 요구하셨다. 그러자 욥은 자신은 미천하여 하나님께 대답할 수 없다고 고백하였다. 하나님께서는 하마에 대하여 설명하시면서 욥에게 교만을 버릴 것과 욥을 지으신 하나님의 절대 주권을 나타내셨다.
  
  하나님과 욥의 대화(39:1-40:24)    
 
  1. 너는 산에 사는 염소가 언제 새끼를 치는지 아느냐? 들사슴이 새끼를 낳는 것을 지켜 본 일이 있느냐?
  2. 들사슴이 몇 달 만에 만삭이 되는지 아느냐? 언제 새끼를 낳는지 아느냐?
  3. 언제 구푸려서 새끼를 낳는지를 아느냐? 낳은 새끼를 언제 광야에다가 풀어 놓는지를 아느냐?
  4. 그 새끼들은 튼튼하게 자라나면, 어미 곁을 떠나가서 다시 돌아오지 않는다.
  5. 누가 들나귀를 놓아 주어서 자유롭게 해주었느냐? 누가 날쌘 나귀에게 매인 줄을 풀어 주어서, 마음대로 뛰놀게 하였느냐?
  1. Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
  2. Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
  3. They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.
  4. Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.
  5. Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?
  1. 들판을 집으로 삼게 하고 소금기 있는 땅을 살 곳으로 삼게 한 것은, 바로 나다.
  2. 들나귀가 시끄러운 성읍에서 멀리 떨어져 있으므로, 아무도 들나귀를 길들이지 못하고, 일을 시키지도 못한다.
  3. 산은 들나귀가 마음껏 풀을 뜯는 초장이다. 푸른 풀은 들나귀가 찾는 먹이다.
  4. 들소가 네 일을 거들어 주겠느냐? 들소가 네 외양간에서 잠을 자겠느냐?
  5. 네가 들소에게 쟁기를 매어 주어서, 밭을 갈게 할 수 있느냐? 들소들이 네 말을 따라서 밭을 갈겠느냐?
  1. Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.
  2. He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.
  3. The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.
  4. Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?
  5. Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
  1. 들소가 힘이 센 것은 사실이지만, 네가 하기 힘든 일을 들소에게 떠맡길 수 있겠느냐?
  2. 들소가, 심은 것을 거두어들여서 타작 마당에 쌓아 줄 것 같으냐?
  3. 타조가 날개를 재빠르게 치기는 하지만, 황새처럼 날지는 못한다.
  4. 타조가 땅바닥에다가 알을 낳는 것은, 흙이 그 알을 따스하게 해주기를 바라기 때문이다.
  5. 그러나 그 알이 발에 밟혀서 깨어질 수 있음을 알지 못한다. 들짐승이 그 알을 짓밟을 수도 있음을 알지 못한다.
  1. Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?
  2. Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?
  3. Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
  4. Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,
  5. And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.
  1. 타조는 알을 거칠게 다루기를 마치 제가 낳은 알이 아닌 것같이 하고, 알을 낳는 일이 헛수고가 되지나 않을까 하고 걱정도 하지 못하니,
  2. 이것은 나 하나님이 타조를 어리석은 짐승으로 만들고, 지혜를 주지 않았기 때문이다.
  3. 그러나 타조가 한 번 날개를 치면서 달리기만 하면, 말이나 말 탄 사람쯤은 우습게 여긴다.
  4. 욥은 대답해 보아라. 말에게 강한 힘을 준 것이 너냐? 그 목에 흩날리는 갈기를 달아 준 것이 너냐?
  5. 네가 말을 메뚜기처럼 뛰게 만들었느냐? 사람을 두렵게 하는 그 위세 당당한 콧소리를 네가 만들어 주었느냐?
  1. She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her labour is in vain without fear;
  2. Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.
  3. What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.
  4. Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
  5. Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
  1. 앞 발굽으로 땅을 마구 파 대면서 힘껏 앞으로 나가서 싸운다.
  2. 그것들은 두려움이라는 것을 모른다. 칼 앞에서도 돌아서지 않는다.
  3. 말을 탄 용사의 화살통이 덜커덕 소리를 내며, 긴 창과 짧은 창이 햇빛에 번쩍인다.
  4. 나팔 소리만 들으면 머물러 서 있지 않고, 흥분하여, 성난 모습으로 땅을 박차면서 내달린다.
  5. 나팔을 불 때마다, "힝힝" 하고 콧김을 뿜으며, 멀리서 벌어지는 전쟁 냄새를 맡고, 멀리서도 지휘관들의 호령과 고함 소리를 듣는다.
  1. He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
  2. He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.
  3. The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
  4. He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
  5. He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
  1. 매가 높이 솟아올라서 남쪽으로 날개를 펴고 날아가는 것이 네게서 배운 것이냐?
  2. 독수리가 하늘 높이 떠서 높은 곳에 보금자리를 만드는 것이 네 명령을 따른 것이냐?
  3. 독수리는 바위에 집을 짓고 거기에서 자고, 험한 바위와 요새 위에 살면서,
  4. 거기에서 먹이를 살핀다. 그의 눈은 멀리서도 먹이를 알아본다.
  5. 독수리 새끼는 피를 빨아먹고 산다. 주검이 있는 곳에 독수리가 있다.
  1. Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?
  2. Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?
  3. She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.
  4. From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
  5. Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
 
 
  1. 주님께서 또 욥에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. 전능한 하나님과 다투는 욥아, 네가 나를 꾸짖을 셈이냐? 네가 나를 비난하니, 어디, 나에게 대답해 보아라.
  3. 그 때에 욥이 주님께 대답하였다.
  4. 저는 비천한 사람입니다. 제가 무엇이라고 감히 주님께 대답할 수 있겠습니까? 다만 손으로 입을 막을 뿐입니다.
  5. 이미 말을 너무 많이 했습니다. 더 할 말이 없습니다.
  1. Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,
  2. Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.
  3. Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
  4. Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
  5. Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
  1. 그러자 주님께서 폭풍 가운데서 다시 말씀하셨다.
  2. 이제 허리를 동이고 대장부답게 일어서서, 내가 묻는 말에 대답하여라.
  3. 아직도 너는 내 판결을 비난하려느냐? 네가 자신을 옳다고 하려고, 내게 잘못을 덮어씌우려느냐?
  4. 네 팔이 하나님의 팔만큼 힘이 있느냐? 네가 하나님처럼 천둥소리 같은 우렁찬 소리를 낼 수 있느냐?
  5. 어디 한 번 위엄과 존귀를 갖추고, 영광과 영화를 갖추고,
  1. Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
  2. Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
  3. Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
  4. Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
  5. Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.
  1. 교만한 자들을 노려보며, 네 끓어오르는 분노를 그들에게 쏟아 내고, 그들의 기백을 꺾어 보아라.
  2. 모든 교만한 자를 살펴서 그들을 비천하게 하고, 악한 자들을 그 서 있는 자리에서 짓밟아서
  3. 모두 땅에 묻어 보아라. 모두 얼굴을 천으로 감아서 무덤에 뉘어 보아라.
  4. 그렇게만 할 수 있다면, 나는 너를 찬양하고, 네가 승리하였다는 것을 내가 인정하겠다.
  5. 베헤못을 보아라. 내가 너를 만든 것처럼, 그것도 내가 만들었다. 그것이 소처럼 풀을 뜯지만,
  1. Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.
  2. Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
  3. Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
  4. Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.
  5. Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
  1. 허리에서 나오는 저 억센 힘과, 배에서 뻗쳐 나오는 저 놀라운 기운을 보아라.
  2. 꼬리는 백향목처럼 뻗고, 넓적다리는 힘줄로 단단하게 감쌌다.
  3. 뼈대는 놋처럼 강하고, 갈비뼈는 쇠빗장과 같다.
  4. 그것은, 내가 만든 피조물 가운데서 으뜸가는 것, 내 무기를 들고 다니라고 만든 것이다.
  5. 모든 들짐승이 즐겁게 뛰노는 푸른 산에서 자라는 푸른 풀은 그것의 먹이다.
  1. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
  2. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
  3. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
  4. He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
  5. Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
  1. 그것은 연꽃잎 아래에 눕고, 갈대밭 그늘진 곳이나 늪 속에다가 몸을 숨긴다.
  2. 연꽃잎 그늘이 그것을 가리고, 냇가의 버드나무들이 그것을 둘러싼다.
  3. 강물이 넘쳐도 놀라지 않으며, 요단 강의 물이 불어서 입에 차도 태연하다.
  4. 누가 그것의 눈을 감겨서 잡을 수 있으며, 누가 그 코에 갈고리를 꿸 수 있느냐?
  1. He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
  2. The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
  3. Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
  4. He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.
