- 그러므로 이방 사람 여러분을 위하여 그리스도 [예수]의 일로 갇힌 몸이 된 나 바울이 말합니다. -
- 하나님께서 여러분을 위하여 일하도록 나에게 이 직분을 은혜로 주셨다는 것을, 여러분은 이미 들었을 줄 압니다.
- 하나님께서는 나에게 그 비밀을 계시로 알려 주셨습니다. 그것은 내가 이미 간략하게 적은 바와 같습니다.
- 여러분이 그것을 읽어보면, 내가 그리스도의 비밀을 어떻게 이해하고 있는지를 알게 될 것입니다.
- 지나간 다른 세대에서는 하나님께서 그 비밀을 사람의 아들들에게 알려주지 아니하셨는데, 지금은 그분의 거룩한 사도들과 예언자들에게 성령으로 계시하여 주셨습니다.

- For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
- If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
- How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
- Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
- Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

- 그 비밀의 내용인즉 이방 사람들이 복음을 통하여 그리스도 예수 안에서 유대 사람들과 공동 상속자가 되고, 함께 한 몸이 되고, 약속을 함께 가지는 자가 되는 것입니다.
- 나는 이 복음을 섬기는 일꾼이 되었습니다. 내가 이렇게 된 것은 하나님께서 그분의 능력이 작용하는 대로 나에게 주신 그분의 은혜의 선물을 따른 것입니다.
- 하나님께서 모든 성도 가운데서 지극히 작은 자보다 더 작은 나에게 이 은혜를 주셔서, 그리스도의 헤아릴 수 없는 부요함을 이방 사람들에게 전하게 하시고,
- 만물을 창조하신 하나님 안에 영원 전부터 감추어져 있는 비밀의 계획이 무엇인지를 [모두에게] 밝히게 하셨습니다.
- 그것은 이제 교회를 통하여 하늘에 있는 통치자들과 권세자들에게 하나님의 갖가지 지혜를 알리시려는 것입니다.

- That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
- Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
- Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
- And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
- To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

- 이 일은, 하나님께서 우리 주 그리스도 예수 안에서 성취하신 영원한 뜻을 따른 것입니다.
- 우리는 그리스도를 믿음으로써, 그분 안에서 확신을 가지고, 담대하게 하나님께 나아갑니다.
- 그러므로 여러분을 위하여 당하는 나의 환난을 보고서, 여러분이 낙심하는 일이 없기를 바랍니다. 내가 당하는 환난은 여러분에게는 영광이 됩니다.
- 그러므로 나는 아버지께 무릎을 꿇고 빕니다.
- 아버지께서는 하늘과 땅에 있는 각 족속에게 이름을 붙여 주신 분이십니다.

- According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
- In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
- Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
- For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
- Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

- 아버지께서 그분의 영광의 풍성하심을 따라 그분의 성령을 통하여 여러분의 속 사람을 능력으로 강건하게 하여 주시고,
- 믿음으로 말미암아 그리스도를 여러분의 마음 속에 머물러 계시게 하여 주시기를 빕니다. 여러분이 사랑 속에 뿌리를 박고 터를 잡아서,
- 모든 성도와 함께 여러분이 그리스도의 사랑의 너비와 길이와 높이와 깊이가 어떠한지를 깨달을 수 있게 되고,
- 지식을 초월하는 그리스도의 사랑을 알게 되기를 빕니다. 그리하여 하나님의 온갖 충만하심으로 여러분이 충만하여지기를 바랍니다.
- 우리 가운데서 일하시는 능력을 따라, 우리가 구하거나 생각하는 것 이상으로 더욱 넘치게 주실 수 있는 분에게,

- That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
- That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
- May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
- And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
- Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

- 교회 안에서와 그리스도 예수 안에서, 영광이 대대로 영원무궁하도록 있기를 빕니다. 아멘.

- Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
