- 나는 하나님 앞과, 산 사람과 죽은 사람을 심판하실 그리스도 예수 앞에서, 그분의 나타나심과 그분의 나라를 두고 엄숙히 명령합니다.
- 그대는 말씀을 선포하십시오. 기회가 좋든지 나쁘든지, 꾸준하게 힘쓰십시오. 끝까지 참고 가르치면서, 책망하고 경계하고 권면하십시오.
- 때가 이르면, 사람들이 건전한 교훈을 받으려 하지 않고, 귀를 즐겁게 하는 말을 들으려고 자기네 욕심에 맞추어 스승을 모아들일 것입니다.
- 그들은 진리를 듣지 않고, 꾸민 이야기에 귀를 기울일 것입니다.
- 그러나 그대는 모든 일에 정신을 차려서 고난을 참으며, 전도자의 일을 하며, 그대의 직무를 완수하십시오.

- I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
- Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
- For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
- And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
- But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

- 주님께서 나를 모든 악한 일에서 건져내시고, 또 구원하셔서 그분의 하늘 나라에 들어가게 해 주실 것입니다. 그분께 영광이 영원무궁하도록 있기를 빕니다. 아멘.
