- 주님께서 복을 주셔서 부유하게 되는 것인데, 절대로 근심을 곁들여 주시지 않는다.
- 미련한 사람은 나쁜 일을 저지르는 데서 낙을 누리지만, 명철한 사람은 지혜에서 낙을 누린다.
- 악인에게는 두려워하는 일이 닥쳐오지만, 의인에게는 바라는 일이 이루어진다.
- 회오리바람이 지나가면, 악인은 없어져도, 의인은 영원한 기초처럼 꼼짝하지 않는다.
- 게으른 사람은 부리는 사람에게, 이에 초 같고, 눈에 연기 같다.

- The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
- It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
- The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
- As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
- As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

- 의인의 희망은 기쁨을 거두지만, 악인의 희망은 끊어진다.
- 주님의 도가 정직한 사람에게는 힘이 되지만, 악행을 하는 사람에게는 멸망이 된다.
- 의인은 영원히 흔들리지 않지만, 악인은 땅에서 배겨내지 못한다.
- 의인의 입에서는 지혜가 나오지만, 거짓말하는 혀는 잘릴 것이다.
