- 어리석은 일을 하는 미련한 사람을 만나느니, 차라리 새끼 빼앗긴 암곰을 만나라.
- 악으로 선을 갚으면, 그의 집에서 재앙이 떠나지 않는다.
- 다툼의 시작은 둑에서 물이 새어 나오는 것과 같으니, 싸움은 일어나기 전에 그만두어라.
- 악인을 의롭다고 하거나, 의인을 악하다고 하는 것은, 둘 다 주님께서 싫어하신다.
- 미련한 사람의 손에 돈이 있은들, 배울 마음이 없으니 어찌 지혜를 얻겠느냐?
