- 예수 그리스도의 종이요 야고보의 동생인 유다가, 부르심을 받은 사람들 곧 하나님 아버지께서 사랑하시고 예수 그리스도께서 지켜주시는 이들에게 이 편지를 씁니다.
- 자비와 평화와 사랑이 여러분에게 가득하기를 빕니다.
- 사랑하는 여러분, 나는 여러분에게 우리가 함께 가진 구원에 관해서 편지를 써 보내려고 여러 가지로 애쓰고 있었습니다. 그러던 참에 나는 이제 여러분에게 성도들이 단번에 받은 그 믿음을 지키기 위하여 싸우라고 권하는 편지를 당장 써야 할 필요가 생겼습니다.
- 몇몇 사람이 몰래 숨어들었기 때문입니다. 성경에는 그들이 받을 심판을 옛날에 미리 적어 놓았습니다. 그들은 경건하지 못한 자들로서, 우리 하나님의 은혜를 방종거리로 만들고, 오직 한 분이신 지배자요 우리의 주님이신 예수 그리스도를 부인하는 자들입니다.
- 여러분이 이미 다 알겠지만, 내가 다시 여러분의 기억을 일깨워 드리려는 것은 이것입니다. 주님께서는 백성을 이집트에서 한 번에 구원해 내시고서, 그 다음에는 믿지 않는 자들을 멸하셨습니다.

- Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
- Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
- Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
- For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
- I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

- 또 그는 자기들의 통치 영역에 머물지 않고 그 거처를 떠난 천사들을 그 큰 날의 심판에 붙이시려고, 영원한 사슬로 매어서 어둠에 가두어 두셨습니다.
- 그리고 소돔과 고모라와 그 주위의 성들도 그들과 마찬가지로 음란함에 빠져서 딴 육체를 좇았기 때문에 영원한 불의 형벌을 받아 사람들에게 본보기가 되었습니다.
- 마찬가지로 이 사람들도 꿈꾸면서 육체를 더럽히며, 권위를 업신여기며, 영광스러운 존재들을 모독하고 있습니다.
- 천사장 미가엘은, 모세의 시체를 놓고 악마와 다투면서 논쟁을 할 때에, 차마 모욕적인 말로 단죄하지 못하고, "주님께서 너를 꾸짖으시기를 바란다" 이렇게만 말하였습니다.
- 그런데 이 사람들은 무엇이든지 자기들이 깨닫지 못하는 것은 욕합니다. 그들은 이성이 없는 짐승들처럼, 본능으로 아는 것 바로 그 일로 멸망합니다.

- And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
- Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
- Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
- Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
- But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

- 그들에게 화가 있습니다. 그들은 가인의 길을 걸었으며, 삯을 바라서 발람의 그릇된 길에 빠져들었으며, 고라의 반역을 따르다가 망하였습니다.
- 이 사람들은 함께 먹을 때에 자기 배만 불리면서 겁 없이 먹어대므로, 여러분의 애찬을 망치는 암초입니다. 그들은 바람에 밀려다니면서 비를 내리지 않는 구름이요, 가을이 되어도 열매 하나 없이 죽고 또 죽어서 뿌리째 뽑힌 나무요,
- 자기들의 수치를 거품처럼 뿜어 올리는 거친 바다 물결이요, 길 잃고 떠도는 별들입니다. 짙은 어두움이 그들에게 영원히 마련되어 있습니다.
- 이런 사람들을 두고 아담의 칠대손 에녹은 이렇게 예언하였습니다. "보아라, 주님께서 수만 명이나 되는 거룩한 천사들을 거느리고 오셨으니,
- 이것은 모든 사람을 심판하시고, 모든 불경건한 자들이 저지른 온갖 불경건한 행실과, 또 불경건한 죄인들이 주님을 거슬러서 말한 모든 거친 말을 들추어내서, 그들을 단죄하시려는 것이다."

- Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
- These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
- Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
- And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
- To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

- 이들은 불만에 싸여서 불평을 늘어놓는 사람들이요, 자기들의 욕심대로 사는 사람들입니다. 그들은 입으로 허풍을 떨다가도, 이익을 챙기기 위해서는 남에게 아첨을 합니다.
- 사랑하는 여러분, 여러분은 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 사도들이 예고한 그 말을 기억하십시오.
- 그들은 여러분에게 말하기를, "마지막 때에는 여러분을 조롱하는 자들이 나타나서, 자기들의 경건하지 못한 욕정을 따라 살 것입니다" 하였습니다.
- 이 사람들은 분열을 일으키는 자들이며, 성령을 받지 않고 본능대로 사는 자들입니다.
- 그러나 사랑하는 여러분, 여러분은 가장 거룩한 여러분의 믿음을 터로 삼아서 자기를 건축하고, 성령으로 기도하십시오.

- These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
- But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
- How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
- These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
- But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

- 하나님의 사랑 안에 머무르면서 자기를 지키고, 영생으로 인도하는 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 자비를 기다리십시오.
- 의심을 하는 사람들을 동정하십시오.
- 또 어떤 부류의 사람들에 대해서는 그들을 불에서 끌어내어 구원해 주십시오. 또 어떤 부류의 사람들에 대해서는 그들을 두려운 마음으로 동정하되, 그 살에 닿아서 더럽혀진 속옷까지도 미워하십시오.
- 여러분을 넘어지지 않게 지켜 주시고, 여러분을 흠이 없는 사람으로 자기의 영광 앞에 기쁘게 나서게 하실 능력을 가지신 분,
- 곧 우리의 구주이시며 오직 한 분이신 하나님께 영광과 위엄과 주권과 권세가 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 영원 전에와 이제와 영원까지 있기를 빕니다. 아멘.

- Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
- And of some have compassion, making a difference:
- And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
- Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
- To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
