호세아 9:1-11:12

 호세아는 하나님의 사랑을 배반하고 도덕적, 종교적 타락에 빠진 이스라엘의 죄를 지적하고 이로 인한 하나님의 책망과 심판을 선포하였다. 그는 금송아지를 숭배하고 이방을 좇음으로 결국 하나님을 떠난 이스라엘의 죄를 책망하면서 이 죄로 인해 전쟁과 하나님의 심판이 있을 것을 선포하고 회개를 촉구하였다. 그리고 이스라엘의 범죄에도 불구하고 하나님께서 그들을 끝까지 사랑하시어 남은 자들을 회복시키신다는 하나님의 약속을 전하였다.
  
  하나님의 책망과 심판(9:1-10:15)    
 
  1. 이스라엘아, 너희는 기뻐하지 말아라. 이방 백성들처럼 좋아 날뛰지 말아라. 너희는 하나님에게서 떠나서 음행을 하였다. 너희는 모든 타작 마당에서 창녀의 몸값을 받으며 좋아하고 있다.
  2. 그러나 타작 마당에서는 먹거리가 나오지 않고, 포도주 틀에서는 새 포도주가 나지 않을 것이다.
  3. 에브라임이 주님의 땅에서 살 수 없게 되어 다시 이집트로 돌아가고, 앗시리아로 되돌아가서 부정한 음식을 먹을 것이다.
  4. 이방 땅에서는, 주님께 포도주를 제물로 부어 드릴 수 없고, 그들이 바치는 제물이 주님을 기쁘게 해드릴 수도 없을 것이다. 그들이 먹는 것은 초상집에서 먹는 음식과 같아서, 그것을 먹는 사람들마다 부정을 타게 될 것이다. 그들이 먹는 것은 허기진 배나 채울 수 있을 뿐, 주님께서 계신 집으로 가져다가 바칠 것은 못 된다.
  5. 절기가 오고, 주님께 영광을 돌릴 잔칫날이 돌아와도, 무엇을 제물로 드릴 수 있겠느냐?
  1. Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
  2. The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.
  3. They shall not dwell in the LORD's land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
  4. They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the LORD.
  5. What will ye do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the LORD?
  1. 재난이 닥쳐와서 백성들이 흩어지는 날, 이집트가 그 피난민을 받아들여도, 끝내, 멤피스 땅에 묻히는 신세가 되고 말 것이다. 가지고 간 귀중한 금은 보화는 잡초 속에 묻히고, 살던 곳은 가시덤불로 덮일 것이다.
  2. 이스라엘은 알아라. 너희가 보복을 받을 날이 이르렀고, 죄지은 만큼 벌받을 날이 가까이 왔다. 너희는 말하기를 "이 예언자는 어리석은 자요, 영감을 받은 이 자는 미친 자다" 하였다. 너희의 죄가 많은 만큼, 나를 미워하는 너희의 원한 또한 많다.
  3. 하나님은 나를 예언자로 임명하셔서 에브라임을 지키는 파수꾼이 되게 하셨다. 그러나 너희는 예언자가 가는 길목마다 덫을 놓았다. 하나님이 계신 집에서마저, 너희는 예언자에게 원한을 품었다.
  4. 기브아 사건이 터진 그 때 못지않게, 이 백성이 더러운 일을 계속한다. 주님께서 이 백성의 죄악을 기억하시고, 그릇된 행실을 다 벌하실 것이다.
  5. "내가 이스라엘을 처음 만났을 때에, 광야에서 만난 포도송이 같았다. 내가 너희 조상을 처음 보았을 때에, 제 철에 막 익은 무화과의 첫 열매를 보는 듯하였다. 그러나 바알브올에 이르자, 그들은 거기에서 그 부끄러운 우상에게 몸을 바치고, 우상을 좋아하다가 우상처럼 추악해지고 말았다.
  1. For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.
  2. The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.
  3. The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.
  4. They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.
  5. I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
  1. 이제 에브라임은 새와 같은 꼴이 될 것이다. 에브라임의 영광은 새처럼 날아갈 것이다. 아기가 태어나는 일도 없고, 여인들이 임신하는 일도 없고, 아기를 낳는 일도 없을 것이다.
  2. 이미 낳아서 기르는 자식들은, 내가 빼앗을 것이다. 한 아이도 살려 두지 않을 것이다. 내가 이 백성을 버리는 날에, 재앙이 이 백성에게 닥칠 것이다."
  3. "내가 보기에 에브라임은 아름다운 곳에 심긴 두로와 같습니다만, 에브라임이 제 자식들을 살인자에게 끌어다 주게 되었습니다.
  4. 주님, 그들에게 벌을 내리십시오! 주님께서는 무슨 벌을 내리시고자 하십니까? 아이 배지 못하는 태를 주시고, 젖이 나지 않는 가슴을 주십시오."
  5. "이 백성의 온갖 죄악은 길갈에서 시작된다. 내가 그들을 미워하기 시작한 것도 길갈에서다. 하는 짓이 악하니, 그들을 나의 집에서 쫓아내겠다. 다시는 그들을 사랑하지 않을 것이다. 대신이라는 것들도 모조리 나를 거슬렀다.
  1. As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.
  2. Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!
  3. Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.
  4. Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
  5. All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.
  1. 에브라임은 그 밑동이 찍혀서 뿌리가 말라 버렸으니, 열매를 맺지 못할 것이다. 그들이 자식을 낳는다 하여도, 그들이 낳은 귀여운 자식들을 내가 죽게 할 것이다."
  2. 백성이 하나님의 말씀을 듣지 않으니, 나의 하나님이 백성을 버리실 것이다. 그 백성은 만민 사이에서 떠도는 신세가 될 것이다.
  1. Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.
  2. My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
 
 
  1. 이스라엘은 열매가 무성한 포도덩굴, 열매가 많이 맺힐수록 제단도 많이 만들고, 토지의 수확이 많아질수록 돌기둥도 많이 깎아 세운다.
  2. 그들의 마음이 거짓으로 가득 차 있으니, 이제는 그들이 죄값을 받는다. 하나님이 그들의 제단들을 파괴하시고, 돌기둥들을 부수실 것이다.
  3. "우리가 주님 두려운 줄 모르고 살다가, 임금도 못 모시게 되었지만, 이제 임금이 있은들 무엇에다가 쓰랴?" 하며 한탄할 날이 올 것이다.
  4. 그들은 빈 약속이나 일삼고, 거짓 맹세나 하며, 쓸모 없는 언약이나 맺는다. 그러므로 밭이랑에 돋아난 독초처럼 불의가 퍼진다.
  5. 사마리아 주민은 벳아웬의 금송아지를 잃고 두려워하고, 그 우상을 잃고 슬퍼할 것이다. 그것을 즐겨서 섬긴 이교의 제사장들은, 우상의 영화가 자기들에게서 떠난 것 때문에 탄식할 것이다.
  1. Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
  2. Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.
  3. For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us?
  4. They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.
  5. The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Bethaven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.
  1. 사람들이 금송아지를 앗시리아로 가지고 가서 대왕에게 선물로 바칠 것이다. 그러나 에브라임이 대가로 받아 오는 것은 수치뿐일 것이다. 끝내 이스라엘은 우상을 섬긴 일로 수치를 당하고야 말 것이다.
  2. 사마리아는 멸망하게 되었다. 왕은 물 위로 떠내려가는 나무토막과 같다.
  3. 이제 이스라엘의 죄악인 아웬 산당들은 무너지고, 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴가 자라 올라서 그 제단들을 뒤덮을 것이다. 그 때에 백성들은 산들을 보고 "우리를 숨겨 다오!" 또 언덕들을 보고 "우리를 덮어 다오!" 하고 호소할 것이다.
  4. "이스라엘아, 너는 기브아에 살던 때부터 죄를 짓기 시작해서 이제까지 죄를 짓고 있다. 거기에서부터 나에게 반항하였으니, 어찌 전쟁이 기브아에서 죄짓는 자에게 미치지 않겠느냐?
  5. 내가 원하는 그 때에 이 백성을 쳐서 벌하겠다. 이방 나라들도 나와 함께 이 백성을 칠 것이다. 나 주를 떠나고 우상을 섬긴 이 두 가지 죄를 벌하겠다.
  1. It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
  2. As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water.
  3. The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.
  4. O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.
  5. It is in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows.
  1. 한때 에브라임은 길이 잘 든 암소와 같아서, 곡식을 밟아서 잘도 떨었다. 그러나 이제 나는 그 아름다운 목에 멍에를 씌워 에브라임은 수레를 끌게 하고, 유다는 밭을 갈게 하고, 야곱은 써레질을 하게 하겠다. 내가 일렀다.
  2. '정의를 뿌리고 사랑의 열매를 거두어라. 지금은 너희가 주를 찾을 때이다. 묵은 땅을 갈아 엎어라. 나 주가 너희에게 가서 정의를 비처럼 내려 주겠다.'
  3. 그러나 너희는 밭을 갈아서 죄악의 씨를 뿌리고, 반역을 거두어서 거짓의 열매를 먹었으니, 이는 네가 병거와 많은 수의 군인을 믿고 마음을 놓은 탓이다.
  4. 그러므로 네 백성을 공격하는 전쟁의 함성이 들려 올 것이다. 벳아벨이 살만에게 공격을 받고 파괴된 날과 같이, 너의 요새들이 모조리 파괴될 것이다. 그 날에 자식들이 박살 난 바로 그 바위 위에서 어머니들마저 박살 나지 않았느냐?
  5. 베델아, 내가 그것과 똑같이 너희들에게 하겠다. 너희가 지은 심히 무서운 죄악 때문에 그렇다. 이스라엘 왕은 전쟁이 시작되는 새벽녘에 틀림없이 잡혀 죽을 것이다."
  1. And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.
  2. Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
  3. Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
  4. Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Betharbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children.
  5. So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.
 
  신실하신 사랑(11:1-11:12)    
 
  1. "이스라엘이 어린 아이일 때에, 내가 그를 사랑하여 내 아들을 이집트에서 불러냈다.
  2. 그러나 내가 부르면 부를수록, 이스라엘은 나에게서 멀리 떠나갔다. 짐승을 잡아서 바알 우상들에게 희생제물로 바치며, 온갖 신상들에게 향을 피워서 바쳤지만,
  3. 나는 에브라임에게 걸음마를 가르쳐 주었고, 내 품에 안아서 길렀다. 죽을 고비에서 그들을 살려 주었으나, 그들은 그것을 깨닫지 못하였다.
  4. 나는 인정의 끈과 사랑의 띠로 그들을 묶어서 업고 다녔으며, 그들의 목에서 멍에를 벗기고 가슴을 헤쳐 젖을 물렸다.
  5. 이스라엘은 이집트 땅으로 되돌아가게 될 것이다. 이스라엘은 앗시리아의 지배를 받게 될 것이다. 그들이 나에게로 돌아오기를 거부하기 때문이다.
  1. When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
  2. As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.
  3. I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.
  4. I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.
  5. He shall not return into the land of Egypt, and the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.
  1. 전쟁이 이스라엘의 성읍을 휩쓸고 지나갈 때에, 성문 빗장이 부서질 것이다. 그들이 헛된 계획을 세웠으니 칼이 그들을 모조리 삼킬 것이다.
  2. 내 백성이 끝끝내 나를 배반하고, 바알을 불러 호소하지만, 그가 그들을 일으켜 세우지 못할 것이다.
  3. 에브라임아, 내가 어찌 너를 버리겠느냐? 이스라엘아, 내가 어찌 너를 원수의 손에 넘기겠느냐? 내가 어찌 너를 아드마처럼 버리며, 내가 어찌 너를 스보임처럼 만들겠느냐? 너를 버리려고 하여도, 나의 마음이 허락하지 않는구나! 너를 불쌍히 여기는 애정이 나의 속에서 불길처럼 강하게 치솟아 오르는구나.
  4. 아무리 화가 나도, 화나는 대로 할 수 없구나. 내가 다시는 에브라임을 멸망시키지 않겠다. 나는 하나님이요, 사람이 아니다. 나는 너희 가운데 있는 거룩한 하나님이다. 나는 너희를 위협하러 온 것이 아니다."
  5. 주님께서 사자처럼 부르짖으신다. 이스라엘 사람들이 주님의 뒤를 따라 진군한다. 주님께서 친히 소리 치실 때에, 그의 아들딸들이 서쪽에서 날개 치며 빨리 날아올 것이다.
  1. And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels.
  2. And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
  3. How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
  4. I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
  5. They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
  1. 이집트 땅에서 참새 떼처럼 빨리 날아오고, 앗시리아 땅에서 비둘기처럼 날아올 것이다. "내가 끝내 그들을 고향집으로 돌아오게 하겠다. 나 주의 말이다."
  2. 에브라임은 거짓말로 나를 에워싸며, 이스라엘 가문은 온갖 음모로 나를 옥죄고 있다. 유다 족속도 신실하고 거룩하신 하나님을 거역하고 있다.
  1. They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.
  2. Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
