- 개가 그 토한 것을 도로 먹듯이, 미련한 사람은 어리석은 일을 되풀이한다.
- 너는 스스로 지혜롭다 하는 사람을 보았을 것이나, 그런 사람보다는 오히려 미련한 사람에게 더 희망이 있다.
- 게으른 사람은 핑계 대기를 "길에 사자가 있다. 거리에 사자가 있다" 한다.
- 문짝이 돌쩌귀에 붙어서 돌아가듯이, 게으른 사람은 침대에만 붙어서 뒹군다.
