- 이 말씀을 하신 뒤에, 여드레쯤 되어서, 예수께서는 베드로와 요한과 야고보를 데리고, 기도하러 산에 올라가셨다.
- 예수께서 기도하고 계시는데, 그 얼굴 모습이 변하고, 그 옷이 눈부시게 희어지고 빛이 났다.
- 그런데 갑자기 두 사람이 나타나 예수와 더불어 말을 하고 있었다. 그들은 모세와 엘리야였다.
- 그들은 영광에 싸여 나타나서, 예수께서 예루살렘에서 이루실 일 곧 그의 떠나가심에 대하여 말하고 있었다.
- 베드로와 그 일행은 잠을 이기지 못해서 졸다가, 깨어나서 예수의 영광을 보고, 또 그와 함께 서 있는 그 두 사람을 보았다.

- Some eight days after these sayings, He took along Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray.
- And while He was praying, the appearance of His face became different, and His clothing became white and gleaming.
- And behold, two men were talking with Him; and they were Moses and Elijah,
- who, appearing in glory, were speaking of His departure which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.
- Now Peter and his companions had been overcome with sleep; but when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men standing with Him.

- 그 두 사람이 예수에게서 막 떠나가려고 할 때에, 베드로가 예수께 말하였다. "선생님, 우리가 여기서 지내는 것이 좋겠습니다. 우리가 초막 셋을 지어서, 하나에는 선생님을, 하나에는 모세를, 하나에는 엘리야를 모시겠습니다." 베드로는 자기가 무슨 말을 하는지도 모르고, 그렇게 말하였다.
- 그가 이렇게 말하고 있는데, 구름이 일어나서 그 세 사람을 휩쌌다. 그들이 구름 속으로 들어가니, 제자들은 두려움에 사로잡혔다.
- 그리고 구름 속에서 소리가 났다. "이는 내 아들이요, 내가 택한 자다. 너희는 그의 말을 들어라."
- 그 소리가 끝났을 때에, 예수만이 거기에 계셨다. 제자들은 입을 다물고, 그들이 본 것을 얼마 동안 아무에게도 알리지 않았다.
- 다음날 그들이 산에서 내려오니, 큰 무리가 예수를 맞이하였다.

- And as these were leaving Him, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good for us to be here; let us make three tabernacles: one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah"--not realizing what he was saying.
- While he was saying this, a cloud formed and began to overshadow them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.
- Then a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!"
- And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent, and reported to no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.
- On the next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met Him.

- 그런데 무리 가운데서 한 사람이 소리를 크게 내서 말하였다. "선생님, 내 아들을 보아주십시오. 그 아이는 내 외아들입니다.
- 귀신이 그 아이를 사로잡으면, 그 아이는 갑자기 소리를 지릅니다. 또 귀신은 아이에게 경련을 일으키고, 입에 거품을 물게 합니다. 그리고 아이를 상하게 하면서 좀처럼 떠나지 않습니다.
- 그래서 선생님의 제자들에게 귀신을 내쫓아 달라고 청하였으나, 그들은 해내지를 못했습니다."
- 예수께서 대답하셨다. "아! 믿음이 없고, 비뚤어진 세대여! 내가 언제까지 너희와 함께 있어야 하며 너희를 참아 주어야 하겠느냐? 네 아들을 이리로 데려오너라."
- 아이가 예수께로 오는 도중에도, 귀신이 그 아이를 거꾸러뜨리고, 경련을 일으키게 하였다. 예수께서는 그 악한 귀신을 꾸짖으시고, 아이를 낫게 하셔서, 그 아버지에게 돌려주셨다.

- And a man from the crowd shouted, saying, "Teacher, I beg You to look at my son, for he is my only boy,
- and a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly screams, and it throws him into a convulsion with foaming at the mouth; and only with difficulty does it leave him, mauling him as it leaves.
- "I begged Your disciples to cast it out, and they could not."
- And Jesus answered and said, "You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you and put up with you? Bring your son here."
- While he was still approaching, the demon slammed him to the ground and threw him into a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy and gave him back to his father.

- 사람들은 모두 하나님의 위대한 능력을 보고 놀랐다. 사람들이 모두 예수께서 하신 모든 일을 보고, 놀라서 감탄하고 있을 때에, 예수께서 제자들에게 말씀하셨다.
- "너희는 이 말을 귀담아 들어라. 인자는 사람들의 손으로 넘어갈 것이다."
- 그러나 제자들은 이 말씀을 깨닫지 못하였다. 그들이 그 말씀을 이해하지 못하도록 그 뜻이 숨겨져 있었다. 또한 그들은 그 말씀에 관하여 그에게 묻기조차 두려워하였다.
- 제자들 사이에서는, 자기들 가운데서 누가 가장 큰 사람이냐 하는 문제로 다툼이 일어났다.
- 예수께서 그들 마음 속의 생각을 아시고, 어린이 하나를 데려다가, 곁에 세우시고,

- And they were all amazed at the greatness of God But while everyone was marveling at all that He was doing, He said to His disciples,
- "Let these words sink into your ears; for the Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men."
- But they did not understand this statement, and it was concealed from them so that they would not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this statement.
- An argument started among them as to which of them might be the greatest.
- But Jesus, knowing what they were thinking in their heart, took a child and stood him by His side,

- 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "누구든지 내 이름으로 이 어린이를 영접하면 나를 영접하는 것이요, 누구든지 나를 영접하면 나를 보내신 분을 영접하는 것이다. 너희 가운데에서 가장 작은 사람이 큰 사람이다."
- 요한이 대답하였다. "선생님, 어떤 사람이 선생님의 이름으로 귀신을 내쫓는 것을 우리가 보았습니다. 그런데 그 사람은 우리를 따르는 사람이 아니므로, 우리는 그가 그런 일을 하지 못하게 막았습니다."
- 그러나 예수께서는 그에게 말씀하셨다. "막지 말아라. 너희를 반대하지 않는 사람은 너희를 지지하는 사람이다."

- and said to them, "Whoever receives this child in My name receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me; for the one who is least among all of you, this is the one who is great."
- John answered and said, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name; and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow along with us."
- But Jesus said to him, "Do not hinder him; for he who is not against you is for you."
