- 가장 높으신 분의 보호를 받으면서 사는 너는, 전능하신 분의 그늘 아래 머무를 것이다.
- 나는 주님께 "주님은 나의 피난처, 나의 요새, 내가 의지할 하나님"이라고 말하겠다.
- 정녕, 주님은 너를, 사냥꾼의 덫에서 빼내 주시고, 죽을 병에서 너를 건져 주실 것이다.
- 주님이 그의 깃으로 너를 덮어 주시고 너도 그의 날개 아래로 피할 것이니, 주님의 진실하심이 너를 지켜 주는 방패와 갑옷이 될 것이다.
- 그러므로 너는 밤에 찾아드는 공포를 두려워하지 않고, 낮에 날아드는 화살을 무서워하지 않을 것이다.

- 흑암을 틈타서 퍼지는 염병과 백주에 덮치는 재앙도 두려워하지 말아라.
- 네 왼쪽에서 천 명이 넘어지고, 네 오른쪽에서 만 명이 쓰러져도, 네게는 재앙이 가까이 오지 못할 것이다.
- 오직 너는 너의 눈으로 자세히 볼 것이니, 악인들이 보응을 받는 것을 보게 될 것이다.
