사도행전 13:44-14:7

 복음을 영접하는 사람들이 늘어가자, 유대인들은 자신들의 권위와 지지 기반이 약화될 것을 우려해 바울과 바나바를 핍박하고 비시디아 안디옥에서 쫓아냈다. 이고니온으로 온 바울과 바나바는 그 곳에서도 복음을 전했으나, 역시 유대인들의 극심한 박해로 루스드라로 가게 되었다.
  
  유대인들의 박해(13:44-13:52)    
 
  1. 그 다음 안식일에는 온 동네 사람이 거의 다 하나님의 말씀을 들으려고 모여들었다.
  2. 유대 사람들이 그 무리를 보고 시기심으로 가득 차서, 바울과 바나바가 한 말을 반박하고 비방하였다.
  3. 그러나 바울과 바나바는 담대하게 말하였다. "우리는 하나님의 말씀을 당신들에게 먼저 전해야 하였습니다. 그러나 지금 당신들이 그것을 배척하고, 영원한 생명을 얻기에 합당하지 못한 사람으로 스스로 판정하므로, 우리는 이제 이방 사람들에게로 갑니다.
  4. 주님께서 우리에게 명하시기를 '내가 너를 뭇 민족의 빛으로 삼았으니, 그것은 네가 땅 끝까지 구원을 이루게 하려는 것이다' 하셨습니다."
  5. 이방 사람들은 이 말을 듣고 기뻐하며 주님의 말씀을 찬양하였고, 영원한 생명을 얻도록 정하신 사람은 모두 믿게 되었다.
  1. The next Sabbath nearly the whole city assembled to hear the word of the Lord.
  2. But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began contradicting the things spoken by Paul, and were blaspheming.
  3. Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, "It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.
  4. "For so the Lord has commanded us, 'I HAVE PLACED YOU AS A LIGHT FOR THE GENTILES, THAT YOU MAY BRING SALVATION TO THE END OF THE EARTH.'"
  5. When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.
  1. 이렇게 해서 주님의 말씀이 그 온 지방에 퍼져 나갔다.
  2. 그러나 유대 사람들은 경건한 귀부인들과 그 성의 지도층 인사들을 선동해서, 바울과 바나바를 박해하게 하였고, 그들을 그 지방에서 내쫓았다.
  3. 그래서 바울과 바나바는 그들에게 발의 먼지를 떨어버리고, 이고니온으로 갔다.
  4. 제자들은 기쁨과 성령으로 가득 차 있었다.
  1. And the word of the Lord was being spread through the whole region.
  2. But the Jews incited the devout women of prominence and the leading men of the city, and instigated a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district.
  3. But they shook off the dust of their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium.
  4. And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
 
  이고니온에서 루스드라까지(14:1-14:7)    
 
  1. 바울과 바나바는 이고니온에서도 이전과 마찬가지로, 유대 사람의 회당에 들어가서 말하였다. 그래서 유대 사람과 그리스 사람이 많이 믿게 되었다.
  2. 그러나 마음을 돌이키지 않은 유대 사람들이 이방 사람들을 선동해서, 믿는 형제들에게 나쁜 감정을 품게 하였다.
  3. 두 사도는 오랫동안 거기에 머물면서, 주님을 의지하여 담대하게 말하였다. 주님께서는 그들의 손으로 표징과 놀라운 일을 행하게 하셔서, 그들이 전하는 은혜의 말씀을 확증하여 주셨다.
  4. 그 도시 사람들은 두 편으로 나뉘어서, 더러는 유대 사람의 편을 들고, 더러는 사도의 편을 들었다.
  5. 그런데 이방 사람들과 유대 사람들이 그들의 관원들과 합세해서, 바울과 바나바를 모욕하고 돌로 쳐죽이려고 했다.
  1. In Iconium they entered the synagogue of the Jews together, and spoke in such a manner that a large number of people believed, both of Jews and of Greeks.
  2. But the Jews who disbelieved stirred up the minds of the Gentiles and embittered them against the brethren.
  3. Therefore they spent a long time there speaking boldly with reliance upon the Lord, who was testifying to the word of His grace, granting that signs and wonders be done by their hands.
  4. But the people of the city were divided; and some sided with the Jews, and some with the apostles.
  5. And when an attempt was made by both the Gentiles and the Jews with their rulers, to mistreat and to stone them,
  1. 사도들은 그것을 알고, 루가오니아 지방에 있는 두 도시 루스드라와 더베와 그 근방으로 피하였다.
  2. 그들은 거기에서도 줄곧 복음을 전하였다.
  1. they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding region;
  2. and there they continued to preach the gospel.
