에스겔 4:1-6:14

 하나님께서는 에스겔의 상징적 행동을 통해 예루살렘에 임할 임박한 심판의 상황을 미리 보여 주셨다. 그것은 백성들의 죄로 인해 예루살렘이 바벨론 군대에 의해 포위당하고 그 성에 온역과 전쟁과 기근이 임하며 이스라엘 온 땅이 우상 숭배로 파멸된다는 것이었다. 그러나 포로로 잡혀간 백성들 중 남은 자는 회개할 것임을 말씀하셨다.
  
  예루살렘의 멸망을 상징하는 예언적 행동(4:1-5:17)    
 
  1. "너 사람아, 너는 이제 흙벽돌을 한 장 가져다가 네 앞에 놓고, 한 성읍 곧 예루살렘을 그 위에 새겨라.
  2. 그 다음에 그 성읍에 포위망을 쳐라. 그 성읍을 공격하는 높은 사다리를 세우고, 흙 언덕을 쌓고, 진을 치고, 성벽을 부수는 무기를 성 둘레에 설치하여라.
  3. 너는 또 철판을 가져다가 너와 그 성읍 사이에 철벽을 세워라. 그 도성을 포위하고 지켜보아라. 네가 그 도성을 포위하고 있거라. 이것이 이스라엘 족속에게 보여 주는 징조다.
  4. 너는 또 왼쪽으로 누워서, 이스라엘 족속의 죄악을 네 몸에 지고 있거라. 옆으로 누워 있는 날 수만큼, 너는 그들의 죄악을 떠맡아라.
  5. 나는 그들이 범죄한 햇수대로 네 날 수를 정하였다. 그러니 네가 삼백구십 일 동안 이스라엘 족속의 죄악을 떠맡아야 할 것이다.
  1. "Now you son of man, get yourself a brick, place it before you and inscribe a city on it, Jerusalem.
  2. "Then lay siege against it, build a siege wall, raise up a ramp, pitch camps and place battering rams against it all around.
  3. "Then get yourself an iron plate and set it up as an iron wall between you and the city, and set your face toward it so that it is under siege, and besiege it This is a sign to the house of Israel.
  4. "As for you, lie down on your left side and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; you shall bear their iniquity for the number of days that you lie on it.
  5. "For I have assigned you a number of days corresponding to the years of their iniquity, three hundred and ninety days; thus you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
  1. 이 기간을 다 채운 다음에는, 네가 다시 오른쪽으로 누워서, 유다 족속의 죄악을 사십 일 동안 떠맡고 있거라. 나는 너에게 일 년을 하루씩 계산하여 주었다.
  2. 너는 이제 예루살렘의 포위망을 응시하면서, 네 팔을 걷어붙이고, 그 성읍을 심판하는 예언을 하여라.

  1. "When you have completed these, you shall lie down a second time, but on your right side and bear the iniquity of the house of Judah; I have assigned it to you for forty days, a day for each year.
  2. "Then you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem with your arm bared and prophesy against it.
  3. "Now behold, I will put ropes on you so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have completed the days of your siege.
  4. "But as for you, take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet and spelt, put them in one vessel and make them into bread for yourself; you shall eat it according to the number of the days that you lie on your side, three hundred and ninety days.
  5. "Your food which you eat shall be twenty shekels a day by weight; you shall eat it from time to time.
  1. 물도 되어서 하루에 육분의 일 힌씩, 시간을 정해 놓고 따라 마셔라.
  2. 너는 그것을 보리빵처럼 구워서 먹되, 그들이 보는 앞에서, 인분으로 불을 피워서 빵을 구워라."
  3. 주님께서 또 말씀하셨다. "내가 이스라엘 자손을 다른 민족들 속으로 내쫓으면, 그들이 거기에서 이와 같이 더러운 빵을 먹을 것이다."
  4. 그래서 내가 아뢰었다. "주 하나님, 저는 이제까지 저 자신을 더럽힌 일이 없습니다. 어려서부터 지금까지 저절로 죽거나 물려 죽은 짐승의 고기를 먹은 적이 없고, 부정한 고기를 제 입에 넣은 적도 없습니다."
  5. 그러자 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다. "좋다! 그렇다면, 인분 대신에 쇠똥을 쓰도록 허락해 준다. 너는 쇠똥으로 불을 피워 빵을 구워라."
  1. "The water you drink shall be the sixth part of a hin by measure; you shall drink it from time to time.
  2. "You shall eat it as a barley cake, having baked it in their sight over human dung."
  3. Then the LORD said, "Thus will the sons of Israel eat their bread unclean among the nations where I will banish them."
  4. But I said, "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I have never been defiled; for from my youth until now I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has any unclean meat ever entered my mouth."
  5. Then He said to me, "See, I will give you cow's dung in place of human dung over which you will prepare your bread."
  1. 주님께서 또 나에게 말씀하셨다. "사람아, 내가 예루살렘에서 사람들이 의지하는 빵을 끊어 버리겠다. 그들이 빵을 달아서 걱정에 싸인 채 먹고, 물을 되어서 벌벌 떨며 마실 것이다.
  2. 그들은 빵과 물이 부족하여 누구나 절망에 빠질 것이며, 마침내 자기들의 죄악 속에서 말라 죽을 것이다."
  1. Moreover, He said to me, "Son of man, behold, I am going to break the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they will eat bread by weight and with anxiety, and drink water by measure and in horror,
  2. because bread and water will be scarce; and they will be appalled with one another and waste away in their iniquity.
 
 
  1. "너 사람아, 너는 날카로운 칼을 한 자루 가져 와서, 그 칼을 삭도로 삼아 네 머리카락과 수염을 깎고, 그것을 저울로 달아 나누어 놓아라.
  2. 그리고 그 성읍의 포위 기간이 끝난 다음에, 그 털의 삼분의 일을 성읍 한가운데서 불로 태우고, 또 삼분의 일은 성읍 둘레를 돌면서 칼로 내려치고, 또 삼분의 일은 바람에 날려 흩어지게 하여라. 그러면 내가 칼을 빼어 들고, 그 흩어지는 것들을 뒤쫓아 가겠다.
  3. 그러나 너는 그것들 가운데서 조금을 남겨 두었다가 네 옷자락으로 싸매어라.
  4. 너는 또 그것들 가운데서 얼마를 꺼내서 불 한가운데 집어 던져서 살라 버려라. 그 속에서 불이 나와서 온 이스라엘 족속에게 번질 것이다."
  5. 주 하나님이 이렇게 말씀하신다. "이것이 예루살렘이다. 내가 그 성읍을 이방 사람들 한가운데 두고, 나라들이 둘러 있게 하였다.
  1. "As for you, son of man, take a sharp sword; take and use it as a barber's razor on your head and beard Then take scales for weighing and divide the hair.
  2. "One third you shall burn in the fire at the center of the city, when the days of the siege are completed Then you shall take one third and strike it with the sword all around the city, and one third you shall scatter to the wind; and I will unsheathe a sword behind them.
  3. "Take also a few in number from them and bind them in the edges of your robes.
  4. "Take again some of them and throw them into the fire and burn them in the fire; from it a fire will spread to all the house of Israel.
  5. "Thus says the Lord GOD, 'This is Jerusalem; I have set her at the center of the nations, with lands around her.
  1. 그런데도 그 성읍은 다른 민족들보다 더 악하여 내 규례를 거스르고, 둘러 있는 이방 사람들보다 더 내 율례를 지키지 않았다. 그들은 내 규례를 거역하고, 내 율례를 지키지 않았다.
  2. 그러므로 나 주 하나님이 이렇게 말한다. 너희는 너희를 둘러 있는 이방 사람들보다 더 거스르는 사람이 되어서, 내 율례를 따르지도 않고, 내 규례를 지키지도 않고, 심지어는 너희를 둘러 있는 이방 사람들이 지키는 규례를 따라 살지도 않았다.
  3. 그러므로 나 주 하나님이 이렇게 말한다. 내가 친히 너희를 대적하겠다. 그리고 뭇 이방 사람이 보는 앞에서 내가 너희 가운데 벌을 내리겠다.
  4. 너희의 온갖 역겨운 일들 때문에, 전에도 없었고 앞으로도 다시는 없을 그런 일을, 내가 너희 가운데서 일으키겠다.
  5. 너희 가운데서 아버지가 자식을 잡아 먹고, 자식이 아버지를 잡아 먹을 것이다. 나는 너희 가운데 벌을 내리고, 너희에게 남은 사람들을 사방으로 흩어 버리겠다.
  1. 'But she has rebelled against My ordinances more wickedly than the nations and against My statutes more than the lands which surround her; for they have rejected My ordinances and have not walked in My statutes.'
  2. "Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, 'Because you have more turmoil than the nations which surround you and have not walked in My statutes, nor observed My ordinances, nor observed the ordinances of the nations which surround you,'
  3. therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, 'Behold, I, even I, am against you, and I will execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations.
  4. 'And because of all your abominations, I will do among you what I have not done, and the like of which I will never do again.
  5. 'Therefore, fathers will eat their sons among you, and sons will eat their fathers; for I will execute judgments on you and scatter all your remnant to every wind.
  1. 그러므로 내가 나의 삶을 두고 맹세한다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다. 진실로 너희가 온갖 보기 싫은 우상과 역겨운 일로 내 성소를 더럽혀 놓았기 때문에, 내가 너희를 넘어뜨리겠고, 너희를 아끼지 않겠으며, 너희를 불쌍하게 여기지도 않겠다.
  2. 너희 가운데서 삼분의 일은 전염병에 걸려 죽거나 굶어 죽을 것이며, 또 삼분의 일은 성읍의 둘레에서 칼에 맞아 쓰러질 것이며, 나머지 삼분의 일은 내가 사방으로 흩어 버리고, 칼을 빼어 들고 그들의 뒤를 쫓아가겠다.
  3. 이렇게 나의 분을 다 쏟아야, 그들에게 품었던 분이 풀려서, 내 마음도 시원하게 될 것이다. 내가 내 분을 그들에게 다 쏟을 때에, 그들은 비로소 나 주가 질투하기 때문에 그와 같이 말하였다는 것을 알게 될 것이다.
  4. 또 내가, 둘러 있는 이방 사람 가운데서 너를 폐허 더미와 웃음거리로 만들어, 지나다니는 사람마다 너를 비웃게 하겠다.
  5. 그래서 내가 분과 노를 품고 무서운 형벌을 내리면서 너를 심판할 때에는, 너를 둘러 있는 이방 사람에게 네가 수치와 조롱을 당하고, 네가 받은 심판은 그들에게 두려움과 경고가 될 것이다. 나 주가 말하였다.
  1. 'So as I live,' declares the Lord GOD, 'surely, because you have defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable idols and with all your abominations, therefore I will also withdraw, and My eye will have no pity and I will not spare.
  2. 'One third of you will die by plague or be consumed by famine among you, one third will fall by the sword around you, and one third I will scatter to every wind, and I will unsheathe a sword behind them.
  3. 'Thus My anger will be spent and I will satisfy My wrath on them, and I will be appeased; then they will know that I, the LORD, have spoken in My zeal when I have spent My wrath upon them.
  4. 'Moreover, I will make you a desolation and a reproach among the nations which surround you, in the sight of all who pass by.
  5. 'So it will be a reproach, a reviling, a warning and an object of horror to the nations who surround you when I execute judgments against you in anger, wrath and raging rebukes. I, the LORD, have spoken.
  1. 내가 너희에게 쏘는 기근의 화살과 재난의 화살 곧 멸망시키는 화살은, 너희를 죽이려고 쏘는 것이다. 나는 너희에게 기근을 더 심하게 하여, 너희가 의지하는 빵을 끊어 버리겠다.
  2. 내가 너희에게 기근과 사나운 짐승들을 보내어, 너희 자식들을 앗아가도록 하겠다. 너희는 전염병과 유혈사태를 너희 한가운데서 겪을 것이다. 내가 너희에게 전쟁이 들이닥치게 하겠다. 나 주가 말하였다."
  1. 'When I send against them the deadly arrows of famine which were for the destruction of those whom I will send to destroy you, then I will also intensify the famine upon you and break the staff of bread.
  2. 'Moreover, I will send on you famine and wild beasts, and they will bereave you of children; plague and bloodshed also will pass through you, and I will bring the sword on you. I, the LORD, have spoken.'"
 
  우상 숭배에 대한 심판(6:1-6:14)    
 
  1. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "사람아, 너는 이스라엘의 산들을 바라보면서, 그것들에게 내릴 심판을 예언하여라.
  3. 너는 이렇게 외쳐라. 이스라엘의 산들아, 너희는 주 하나님의 말씀을 들어라. 산과 언덕에게, 계곡과 골짜기에게, 주 하나님이 이렇게 말씀하신다. 보아라, 내가 너희에게 전쟁이 들이닥치게 하여 너희의 산당을 없애 버리겠다.
  4. 또 번제물을 바치는 너희의 제단이 폐허가 되고, 너희가 분향하는 제단이 부서질 것이다. 너희 가운데서 칼에 맞아 죽은 사람들을, 너희의 우상들 앞에 던져 버리겠다.
  5. 또 나는 이스라엘 백성의 시체를 가져다가 그들의 우상 앞에 놓고, 너희의 해골을 모든 제단의 둘레에 흩어 놓겠다.
  1. And the word of the LORD came to me saying,
  2. "Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them
  3. and say, 'Mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord GOD! Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains, the hills, the ravines and the valleys: "Behold, I Myself am going to bring a sword on you, and I will destroy your high places.
  4. "So your altars will become desolate and your incense altars will be smashed; and I will make your slain fall in front of your idols.
  5. "I will also lay the dead bodies of the sons of Israel in front of their idols; and I will scatter your bones around your altars.
  1. 너희가 거주하는 모든 성읍마다 황무지로 변하고, 산당들도 황폐하게 될 것이다. 너희의 제단들도 무너져 못쓰게 되고, 너희의 우상들이 산산조각으로 깨어져 사라지고, 너희가 분향하는 제단들이 파괴되고, 너희가 손으로 만든 것들이 모두 말끔히 없어지게 하려는 것이다.
  2. 너희 한가운데서는 칼에 맞아 죽은 사람들이 널려 있을 것이니, 그 때에야 비로소 너희는 내가 주인 줄 알게 될 것이다.
  3. 그러나 나는 너희 가운데서 얼마를 남겨, 전쟁을 모면하게 하고 여러 나라에 흩어져 여러 민족들 사이에서 살아가게 하겠다.
  4. 전쟁을 모면한 사람들은 포로가 되어 끌려가, 이방 사람들 속에서 살면서, 비로소 나를 기억할 것이다. 그들이 음란한 마음으로 내게서 떠나갔고, 음욕을 품은 눈으로 그들의 우상들을 따라 가서, 내 마음을 상하게 하였으므로, 그들은 자기들이 저지른 악행과 그 모든 혐오스러운 일을 기억하고, 스스로 몸서리를 칠 것이다.
  5. 그 때에야 그들이 비로소 내가 주인 줄 알게 될 것이다. 내가 그들에게 이런 재앙을 내리겠다고 공연히 말한 것이 아님도 알게 될 것이다.
  1. "In all your dwellings, cities will become waste and the high places will be desolate, that your altars may become waste and desolate, your idols may be broken and brought to an end, your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be blotted out.
  2. "The slain will fall among you, and you will know that I am the LORD.
  3. "However, I will leave a remnant, for you will have those who escaped the sword among the nations when you are scattered among the countries.
  4. "Then those of you who escape will remember Me among the nations to which they will be carried captive, how I have been hurt by their adulterous hearts which turned away from Me, and by their eyes which played the harlot after their idols; and they will loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed, for all their abominations.
  5. "Then they will know that I am the LORD; I have not said in vain that I would inflict this disaster on them."'
  1. 나 주 하나님이 이렇게 말한다. 너는 손뼉을 치고, 발을 구르면서 외쳐라. 아, 이스라엘 족속이 온갖 흉악한 일을 저질렀으니, 모두 전쟁과 기근과 전염병 때문에 쓰러질 것이다.
  2. 먼 곳에 있는 사람은 전염병에 걸려서 죽고, 가까운 곳에 있는 사람은 전쟁에서 쓰러지고, 아직도 살아 남아서 포위된 사람들은 굶어서 죽을 것이다. 내가 이와 같이 나의 분노를 그들에게 모두 쏟아 놓겠다.
  3. 그리하여 그들 가운데서 전쟁에서 죽은 시체들은 그들의 우상들 사이에서 뒹굴고, 그들의 제단들 둘레에서도 뒹굴고, 높은 언덕마다, 산 봉우리마다, 푸른 나무 밑에마다, 가지가 무성한 상수리나무 밑에마다, 자기들이 모든 우상에게 향기로운 제물을 바치던 곳에는, 어디에나 그 시체들이 뒹굴 것이다. 그 때에야 비로소 내가 주인 줄, 너희가 알게 될 것이다.
  4. 내가 그렇게 나의 손을 펴서 그들을 치고, 그 땅을 남쪽의 광야에서부터 북쪽의 디블라에 이르기까지, 그들이 거주하는 모든 곳을 황무지로 만들어 버리겠다. 그 때에야 비로소 내가 주인 줄 그들이 알게 될 것이다."
  1. "Thus says the Lord GOD, 'Clap your hand, stamp your foot and say, "Alas, because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel, which will fall by sword, famine and plague!
  2. "He who is far off will die by the plague, and he who is near will fall by the sword, and he who remains and is besieged will die by the famine Thus will I spend My wrath on them.
  3. "Then you will know that I am the LORD, when their slain are among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, under every green tree and under every leafy oak--the places where they offered soothing aroma to all their idols.
  4. "So throughout all their habitations I will stretch out My hand against them and make the land more desolate and waste than the wilderness toward Diblah; thus they will know that I am the LORD."'"
