- 왕이 내리는 판결은 하나님의 판결이니, 판결할 때에 그릇된 판결을 내리지 않는다.
- 정확한 저울과 천평은 주님의 것이며, 주머니 속의 저울추도 다 그분이 만드신 것이다.
- 왕은 악행을 하는 것을 역겨워하여야 한다. 공의로만 왕위가 굳게 설 수 있기 때문이다.
- 왕은 공의로운 말을 하는 것을 기쁘게 여겨야 하고, 올바른 말하기를 좋아하여야 한다.
- 왕의 진노는 저승사자와 같지만, 지혜로운 사람은 왕의 진노를 가라앉힌다.

- 왕의 얼굴빛이 밝아야 모두 살 수 있다. 그의 기쁨은 봄비를 몰고 오는 구름과 같다.
- 지혜를 얻는 것이 금을 얻는 것보다 낫고, 명철을 얻는 것이 은을 얻는 것보다 낫다.
- 악을 떠나는 것은 정직한 사람이 가는 큰길이니, 그 길을 지키는 사람은 자기의 생명을 지킨다.
- 교만에는 멸망이 따르고, 거만에는 파멸이 따른다.
- 겸손한 사람과 어울려 마음을 낮추는 것이, 거만한 사람과 어울려 전리품을 나누는 것보다 낫다.
